I don't have Venus/Mars both in the same house. But I do have Mars in Libra in 7th(whole house system).

It basically means that you like to spar with your partner.

Yes there is love and affection(Venus). But there is also a great deal of arguing, disagreeing and debating(Mars).

If Venus-Mars are conjunct. This can create a sort of loop; you argue(Mars)to make love(Venus),argue then sex, argue then sex etc. Your love life is not one that is cold or aloof.

So much so that when things get too stable, you may be tempted to look elsewhere for excitement(barring that the other positions don't contradict your tendency to wander). As Mars is the type that craves excitement and novelty.

Other times it can even mean that within the psyche of the native, love(Venus) should have some fair amount of strife(Mars)

So you may be especially attracted to people that are not necessarily the type to agree just to keep things nice and pleasant. You like em when they defend their point and argue.

Many will say that the Aries type does it for you i.e Aries Sun/Moon or other placements.

But I don't think that one with this placement will necessarily look for someone who is aggressive. But they will appreciate and be attracted to someone who is not just a "yes, mam" or "yes, sir" etc.

When in the 7th, there is a tendency to jump into agreements because of haste(Mars) and idealism(Venus).

It is usually the expectation of something that really gets you excited, more than the actual "tangible".

So you may need to exercise caution with regards to signing contracts that (at face value) look good but are really not or may tie you down for longer than you initially thought.

Or being the type to make promises ahead of time and commit yourself to things that you may later change your mind about

Marriages often start with great optimism when Venus/Mars are in the 7th. But they end when the honeymoon phase is over and there is little holding the couple together.

Venus/Mars doesn't guarantee a particularly stable partner(7th). But as you know, the 7th house is about projection. So it is really YOU who has the Venus/Mars qualities and thus attracting such people to YOU.

So when you learn to harness this energy to enhance the relationship that you currently in instead of looking for greener pasture. This combo can be instrumental in bringing the spark back and keeping the sex life in your relationship going.

There is so much to say about it. But I think I will stop here.

Maybe a seriously passionate attachment to others or a particular other. Yet hostility when there is friction? Depending on transits. I suppose it could also be a very balanced pairing. Others might see you as their 'other' as charismatic perhaps.

I see this one in a 1:1 as dancing the tango. (Within this person's side, they are dualistic moreso). It works but it might be a delicate juggling sequence.

@Aries23Degrees: I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I would like to add that Venus (isn't just about sex/love) it's about the pleasures of life (fun, food, family, good times/good life).

Mars is all about energy/vitality too, so an energetic, lively mate.

I definitely agree 100% with your quote, "But I don't think that one with this placement will necessarily look for someone who is aggressive. But they will appreciate and be attracted to someone who is not just a "yes, mam" or "yes, sir"
etc."

I definitely don't want a biitch azz bittch baby
