Do you use it? Do you find it accurate? I am a bit fascinated by it, and the fact that it puts 7 planets in water houses (4 in the 12th and 3 in the 4th), while I normally have none - yet relate to them. I know some astrologers applaud it, but I don't know just yet. I guess I have a hard time giving up my Jupiter in the 10th IP: Logged |

I used Whole Sign houses for a while, but I switched to Placidus after finding out that transits to my Placidus houses were more accurate for me.For some reason I'm a bit stuck on my Saturn and Chiron placements though. Placidus puts my Saturn in 3rd house and Chiron in 9th. I don't feel particularly wounded in the 9th house to be honest and I'm not sure how I express Saturn in 3rd house. IP: Logged |

Unlike Lerena above, I am slowly letting go of placidus and going towards the whole sign system.I am a sucker for simplicity and the transits coincide with it, especially when right at the beginning of a sign. I think you should go with what you resonate with.On my side,I was torn with having Mars in 7th because the contemporary interpretation for this is ; "aggressive partners". And I was like "NOOOO" But when I read other interpretations and watched transits,I realize that things really heated up when Mars was in Libra in the 7th. One of the things that stood out was my 2 year long relationship with my now dear friend(Libra) ended The transits were so "in your face", i couldn't have made this stuff up even if I tried. Mars opposed natal Mars by less than a degree when we broke it off. I mean how much more evidence do I need? IP: Logged |

I have been struggling with that one a couple weeks. I even used Placidus, predominantly, for awhile. However the intersecting houses have driven me bonkers and a few transits felt off too. (for instance) the new moon 12' is in my 6th under Placidus, yet WS it's on 6/7th line. I had recently as an hour ago gotten melancholy over old school friends from childhood. A 7th H matter. Under the other st0ystem, it was a length from the 7th. Just one instance. If you 'feel' the Whole house system works, it's your best indicator. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the answers, guys!I have only started thinking about this recently, I will need to look further into this - especially about transits. For instance, I am a late Cap rising; if I go with Placidus, Pluto is currently transiting my 12th, whereas with WS it's in my 1st! To be honest, I feel both! I mean, since Pluto entered Cap in 2008 or so I've been searching my soul a lot, however I've also become a lot more outspoken and passionate about all sorts of social issues and my opinions are generally unpopular and creating some stir. If I only look at the natal chart, then I tend to give more weight to WS than Placidus, there are some house placements in Placidus I never related with (like Mercury in my 2nd, wtf?), however other do make a lot of sense (Saturn in the 9th, Jup in the 10th, Venus in the 3rd), yet their placement in WS also seems to ring true (Sat in the 11th, Jup in the 12th, Venus in the 5th). I don't know what to think about this. IP: Logged | |
