I know someone who has Chiron in the 9th house in Taurus and he seems to me to be quite flaky.

Its as if he lacks a concrete belief system or is not particularly predisposed to any type of concept or faith.

Whenever we discuss philosophical topics and such,he avoids the interaction.

Maybe it could be other aspects, but I had always assumed that Chiron in 9th can make one draw a blank when it comes to 9th house things. I am not sure though...

I have Chiron 9H Taurus. Conjunct MC and Jupiter. I do agree with Aries23 TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. I can be pretty flaky in my beliefs despite being religious. For me it's a very fine line since I previously worked with law and I dabble in astrology and I also explore anything that has to do with.....well, anything besides religion and law.

Needless to say: I make people confused

I have a Stellium in the 9th house and Chiron is apart of the Stellium, I'm not sure if that means I'll still have troubles with 9th house matters if I have other planets there as well. I also have North Node in the same house, which makes things more confusing. My 9th house is an extremely busy one!

Because it's above the horizon in the 9th, in the house which builds the final foundation for the way people see us, the pain related to this placement of Chiron is due in part to the fact that people see us as flaky or ungrounded philosophically. I have that struggle with my friends and associates. I actually have a very clear and lucid philosophical structure which allows almost anything in... this could be due to my Jupiter in Gemini in the 8th house, naturally ruling my 9th, or Uranus in Sagittarius in the second house, which facilitates my ability to accept premises instantly. I don't require proof, but some people are still wanting to have everything proven to them.

My chiron is in cancer in the 9th, opposite my third house Moon/Neptune conjunction, trine my.Mercy/Pluto conjunction in Scorpio in.the 1st... I have the ability to care for people through my words and sharing the lessons borne of the pain of the illusion.of separation which is magnified by the 9th house placement of this asteroid (which I would say is a harbinger of the path to enlightenment which is the sense of presence embodied by Uranus, the bridge indeed between Saturn who is painful restriction, and Uranus, who is absolutely free from restraint and so beautiful in.it's infinite manifestations.

We need to pass through the gate of Saturn to even reach Chiron... but Chiron.in.the 9th does resonate more with Jupiter, so there is a bit of leap frogging over Saturn, if ya know what I mean

And then, Chiron.as bridge means we must travel back and forth to Saturn again, incorporating the painful restrictions set on us by others in.this area of our lives...

Chiron profers a most profound self awareness. Just you saying you're flaky philosophically is a telltale sign that you have Chiron there. I would say the same thing, I do project that sometimes. But this is your place of great wisdom, Chiron.

Of course people are confused

Your Chiron in.Taurus, Aries23, probably is just slow to share. Taurus is notoriously careful, they are about self preservation, right? So why should they prove their hard soon, deeply thought out philosophies which are incredibly sensitive to criticism, with anybody demanding them, in short time periods? Taurus doesn't always use words to communicate. If you think somebody can't talk philosophy just because they aren't speaking, you haven't met many zen monks...

How would 9th house Chiron in Leo differ from 9th house Chiron in Taurus?

I can't figure out what my Chiron means. I also have Jupiter in 9th house if that's significant in any way.

Hmm... ok, I think that if you have a belief then you should be able to back it up with evidence vs believing in something just because you are told to. I guess to say I have an open mind to all religions but my core belief is in God. I do believe we all make our own way to god, that our paths are all different or else we'd all be made the same person. That the church, bible etc is just a tool and to take the wisdom as a person understands it to reach god in his own way depending on thier personal walk, talk and journey with god. I can also see the basis of all religions, information and moral code and destill the information well as I have learned it.

I guess maybe that is what maybe confusing to people is that I understand the information and able to talk to various populations on ideas, theories etc. I'm sure the ability to take the knowledge of things and apply ut to everyday life can confuse others on my actual beliefs whereas it is more so of just applied math. I have seen somethings in astrology to play out and to actually show up on paper.
