Okay, so SRs are a topic that interest me and I'm always seeing different threads on here asking about it, but without receiving much help. So I figured it would be a good idea to have one thread where people could drop their nuggets of advice for reference. (Sorry if this has already been done) Oh and if you've ever traveled to change your SR, please share the experience  Thank you! I'll start: -Every year I have my 10th house ruler (Capricorn) on the ASC is usually a good year. -Leo on the ASC (my 5th house ruler) also usually indicates a good year. -SR Sun in the 2nd were my favorite years. -My worst SR had 4th house ruler (Cancer) on the ASC, Sun in the 8th. This signified a lot of death and a very emotional year. -Sun in the 8th usually means a bad year, but not always about death. -SR Venus & Pluto were in the 1st house the year I had elective surgery. -SR Jupiter was in the 7th the year I got married. -Mercury on the cusp of my 8th for the year my brother died. Mercury rules my natal 3rd house of siblings. -SR Venus conjunct SR Asc the year I traveled to Europe and made tons of friends. SR Venus ruled the SR 9th house. -SR Moon was in the 1st house and SR Jupiter was in the 5th house the year I became pregnant. IP: Logged |

Nice thread! - I had a full 8th house when my grandfather died. - Sun, Mercury and nn 3rd when I passed my driving test - Saturn on my asc when I had my worst year ever. I'll take a look at my previous SR and come back here. My next solar return is scary. 12th house/7th house overlay, Uranus in the 7th, pluto on the ic, libra rising.  IP: Logged |

Isa my next solar return is similar to yours, Uranus in the 7th (along with mars & venus), libra rising and pluto in the 4th. IP: Logged |

OK, so my words of wisdom: solar returns more often than not show and tell us nothing. At all. But sometimes we find something there, in the past usually. It's just Very inconsistent for predictions.IP: Logged |

Bananaz, did something happened yet? Please, keep us updated  I know it's not a great predictive tool, but i'll have a difficult year with hard transits from Saturn to my moon, Mercury, mc, chiron, ascendant. So when I look at my SR with a full 12th house, I get even more scared. IP: Logged |

The one I have thats similar to yours doesn't start until next Feb. The more I study Solar returns, the more I actually think its a great predictive tool, if you have a good handle on your natal chart and the symbollism of the energy and how it affects you. Next year's SR is very scary to me though as I have Pluto conjunct moon. This year I went through some major changes. I lost a loved one and had a baby, so I can kinda see why that Pluto-moon is coming. Pluto destroys and rebuilds, and thats exactly what my life is like right now. When does your SR start? Have you ever experienced a full 12th house SR before?2015 I had 3 planets there (uranus, mars and venus) and it was a relatively quiet year. I know when saturn is on your asc or aspecting your moon, it will be challenging.
