What gives someone a certain type of voice? In this case, a very raspy, breathy voice on a woman. ???

Do you have some example? I mean a celebrity. Because I'm not completely sure how it sounds. I've been searching but I still can't find something.
I'm interested in this because my voice sounds like ... the "type" of voice everyone has when they wake up or (some of them) when they are sick but I have a "sweet" voice and I found a different type of voice, not so sweet.

I don't know. Maybe Scarlett Johansson? It's like that. I don't know many people who have this type of voice.

Yes, I've heard that about Taurus. I knew one who had sun conj mercury in Taurus and their voice reminded me of sipping tea on a swing under a magnolia tree in the spring.

Personal planets in Taurus or Scorpio often give a person a husky voice, particularly if they're angular or strongly aspected. Both signs are very sensual so that's how that energy comes out. With Taurus, it's like music to your ears. With Scorpio, it can just be like a "bedroom voice".

I have Scorpio Moon conjunct Midheaven and Pluto. My voice is usually husky/raspy and I am quite known for it. I joke that even though I have never smoked a cigarette in my life, I sound like a chain smoker.

Yes, Kurt had Pluto conjunct ascendant. He was a Pisces.
Look, I'm a Pisces too, ascendant in Taurus and Mercury square Pluto. I have a raspy voice but most of the time it sounds 'sweet' and on the phone, sometimes it sounds like a 'little girl voice' . My dominant planet is Venus but astro.com 'says' my dominant planet is Uranus and one of the dominant planets of Kurt was Uranus.

I have don't have a raspy voice normally but when I sing or need to I can make it raspy sounding..otherwise my voice sounds sensual and rebellious

Mercury Pluto and Uranus aspects would make for a raspy voice

I think is something 'typical' in Mercury/Pluto and Uranus then!
Because Uranus is my dominant planet but also I have Mercury in Aquarius.
I know a guy who has Mercury in Aquarius square Pluto like me and his voice is raspy. I think that guy from one direction, Harry Styles, has a raspy voice too (at least when he talks) and he has Mercury Aquarius-Pisces square Pluto.

About ascendant... Maybe aspecting Uranus and Pluto, too? I have Uranus square ascendant and Kurt had Uranus/Pluto conjunct ascendant.

My voice sounds like this. Breathy and little deep and vaguely raspy - but slightly. When I used to work at a call center people would joke that I should be a sex phone line operator.

Leo Sun conjunct Mercury in the 8th H. Square Pluto.

Gemini Venus in the 7th H opposite Sat/Uranus in 1st H.

Pisces Moon in the 3rd H square Jupiter.

Sag ASC with Jup. in Gemini.

I've noticed a lot of Uranus and Pluto aspects to mercury and surprisingly for me, ASC aspects. I didn't think that the ASC had anything to do how one's voice sounds.
