I'm curious about what this means for a guy. I have aphrodite conjunct my asc in scorpio 1st, and venus conjunct my dsc in 7th taurus. Any insight? Thanks!IP: Logged |

I've Aphrodite conjunct Venus. it's hard to know how individual an experience this is but I experience aesthetics very sensually. An arrangement of colours in a certain way etc makes me feel like I'm eating the best meal ever. I feel more via other aspects but this I've come to associate with Venus and Aphrodite because it's an intensification of the aesthetic. Maybe you have some similar thing but with some dissonance between the sensual and art? I am not so good at blending. Eta I didn't digest in relation to you been a male. Maybe you can translate that to your experience. But out of curiosity have you any strong reactions to certain music or art I've Venus in Taurus, 7th too.

I really like romanticism and renaissance stuff when it comes to art. I like intense scenes and mythology in art; I get an indescribable feeling. Almost like a yearning, life almost feels a bit mundane sometimes in comparison. I enjoy art a lot.IP: Logged |

That's what I feel : a kind of yearning & even though you say an 'indescrible feeling', just that makes me think it's very similar. I've Scorpio asc too so the only diff is the opposition of Aphrodite in this picture. Having heavy Venus and Scorpio asc I often feel a contradictory pull between depth and visual aesthetics, like I want to revel in colours but that often doesn't allow for depth and vv. Your tastes sound like a way to bridge those two but maybe there's a similar tension. As for appearance, I think I can often look ugly but other times be striking. I seem to be able to be one or the other. I've Venus square Saturn but I think when I get those glimpses of beauty it's Aphrodite. So, I think this would apply to men too. You could be striking but maybe don't like your particular look? IP: Logged |
