Hey everyone, I'm a 10th house mooner but I'm still unsure of how it plays out with my emotions. I'm very withdrawn with who I show my true feelings with (only 2 people otherwise my guard is up), but at the same time I'm a genuine and honest person on social platforms about certain struggles I face. I guess I share what's easy for me to share, but keep hidden what isn't. I feel very Capricorn in that way, even though I'm a Leo moon.

Any other 10th house mooner want to give me their experience with showing emotions?

I'm a pisces moon in 10th house I can get really confused with what I am actually feeling at a certain time. I feel a lot of different things all the time...

I do feel though, that my TRUE feelings are exposed in the "spotlight". The more people that looks at me, the more secure I feel about my own feelings actually... its like all the unnecessary stuff gets cut off, because a lot of people are "waiting" for me

Interesting. I have Moon in Scorpio in the 10th conjunct my Midheaven by zero degrees.

I think about this a lot. I act and that is the perfect route for a 10th House Moon. I am not at all embarrassed or awkward crying or screaming or emoting in front of an audience and in the realm of performing. I just go with the flow of it and I actually really relish it.

But I am totally different in my personal life. I am very much my Taurus IC: very chill, patient, stable. I feel like I have a grounded relationship with my loved ones. But I like to keep it simple and not get very emotional or dramatic in my personal life. It doesn't even feel dysfunctional. I just don't need my loved ones to understand my feelings very much, beyond showing me basic and healthy respect and kindness.

I am like this more and more as I get older. I feel like 10th House planets don't really come into their own until adulthood or the person has a career. So, until the 10th House Moon person figures out what they want to do with their life and really works at it, those feelings don't have much of a place to go, which can make our childhood and early life depressing sometimes.

Would you say talking out your feelings to people help you?

Tbh not sure how my 10th house moon affects me. I like talking about what bothers me but I thought that was more cause my moon's in Gemini. Is moon in 10th house supposed to give me Capricorn traits? Or is it that my moon shines best or I feel most emotionally secure in matters related to that house?

I have Cancer Moon conj the MC but it is in the 9th House.

I think I have no choice but to be open and express what I am feeling due to the MC angle

I have found that (given my love for social networking), whenever I am going through something tough, I go and tell everybody online. My moon is in Aquarius conjunct neptune (0 degree orb).. I also feel like I need recognition for anything I put out to the world (though it's probably enhanced by my 5th house Leo stellium).

Let's see...

Like you, I'm moon in Leo in the 10th. Complicating things is that I have a planet in each of the three water signs (Cancer Venus, Scorpio Neptune, and Pisces Saturn), all retrograde. Saturn and Venus trine my Scorpio ascendant for the grand trine, while Neptune forms one leg of the T-square with the moon, with Taurus Jupiter as the other leg.

Retrogrades turn things inward. Grand trines are like a closed loop, and Neptune in the first hides things. Eight house sun and Mercury too... So... yes, there's a lot more going on under the hood than I imagine anyone suspects. From my perspective, I think I'm showing things just fine, but nobody takes the time to look or to care.

On the other hand, it seems like those who wear their emotions too easily on their sleeves are perhaps not so sincere with their feelings or perhaps a little shallow.

I don't think anyone who knows me well would think me lacking in emotions. Perhaps the intensity surprises them or makes them a little uncomfortable. So in that respect, perhaps I do try to keep it turned down unless I trust they won't be too put off by them.

i have moon in aries in 10h

well, actually i hate displaying emotions in public- however, if my emotions grow strong i wouldn't be able to hold myself back any longer

also, i am NOT able to hide my emotions. People, even the most unsensitive and most dumb, would always notice that expression on my face telling them how i feel and think. I can try so hard, it's not possible

btw: just 2 days ago someone told me that moon in 10h people are popular.
Would you describe yourself popular?

Would you say that you are private about emotional matters in public professional places though? To me it's very important not to convey anything but professionalism at work and at college.

I'm trying to figure out the 10th house moon too. Because I'm not sure if it gives Capricorn traits. My theory is that it does but that's why I started this to see how it effects other people.
I like talking out what bothers me too. But somethings I don't talk about, only with like one or two very trusted people.

I would say I'm open about a lot of things, especially online. But I also think this placement may make cause someone to keep some important issues private from their professional life, or at least try to retain composer of emotions at work

Huh, I feel the same way. Although I find it so much easier to tell people online than in real life. I do still keep somethings hidden at work though, but I also crave recognition too

I feel like anything that has to do with Capricorn is deeper and more intense than what people first think. I feel like 10th house moons may have intense emotions but we can put them towards our career and success and our drive is higher because of that. My theory is that we are very passionate about our work, to a degree that can surprise people

I seem to always be popular at work, and sometimes some university classes, but I wasn't in highschool. I was liked well enough in highschool, but not to the degree I am now. I always attributedo that to my libra rising though so it's interesting that it could be from my 10th house moon. Thanks for pointing that out. I wonder if others with 10th house moon are popular?

I agree with you though. I try and hide my emotions in public, however sometimes they are impossible to hide and they slip out. I've been accused of wearing my heart on my sleeve. With us fire moons I think we're more susceptible to exploding with emotions.

Yeah, I don't think that the 10th House Moon means that you will be this neurotic emotional wreck in public. We DO have an instinct for professionalism, as well. The sign also matters. My Moon is in Scorpio so, inevitably, I can stay cool and contained when I want, even when I'm feeling highly emotional. Yet, I do also find that I'm more transparent than the average Scorpio Moon because people can just SEE what I'm feeling. It's like being not-easy-to-read is the emotional state of mine people pick up on. I put my soul right out there but my true inner self is mysterious. So, it's like I'm very open and enigmatic, at the same time. I don't have a guard up but I don't reveal too much, either. It's very contradictory having the Scorpio Moon here.

I think the 10th House Moon is essentially about "there's a time and a place for these feelings." And somehow, we need the proper public or professional outlet for our emotions. That's why I think working in a career like performing or something emotionally charged is great for us. But, otherwise, this makes a person very responsible in terms of how they go about expressing what they feel. We like to our emotional expression to be "successful", so we're going to wait until we have the right audience, in some shape or form.

Also, this placement will make you feel very emotionally connected with the world. It's a strong intuition and a very natural one. However your Moon sign responds to people's needs or feelings will dominate your public demeanor. I, for example, see through everyone in the world and into their real, hidden feelings, even if I don't know them (more so than the typical Scorpio Moon). So, it's not just about the 10th House Moon's emotions. It's also about the emotional vibrations we're receiving.
