Astrology Chart Envy: Have you ever felt it?Have you ever felt someone's chart was easier than yours/makes more sense than your chart? If so, what planets/signs/aspects/placements made you feel that their chart was easier than yours? Why do you think you feel this way? Lastly how do you deal with it? I will use me as an example. I did a chart of a close friend. Her chart seems "easier"/makes more sense. I use that term lightly because no chart is easy (or bad or even good for that matter) charts are simply charts. Also her life is NOT EASY and she's been through a lot. Regardless in her chart I see multiple conjunctions in her chart and she is a Sagittarius sun. Right now I am going through a thing where I am envious of mutable signs abilities to get over something seemingly quicker than me/fixed dominant people. Also her multiple conjunctions make me envious because conjunctions to me is energy that is working together and have the same goals/motivations. Anyway what do you think? IP: Logged |

I've never felt envy for people's charts. Maybe competitiveness to a certain extent, but never envy. I think of the difficulties in my chart as a way to garner more experience and learn more about life in itself. It's like the greater power a square has when overcome compared to the trine, who doesn't have to do anything but can reave greater benefits. Sometimes though I do look at my chart in confusion wondering why certain sign placements in my chart are there. Like, I'm extremely emotional and often fall into my feelings a lot, why do I only have two planets in water signs? Then again, there are other factors that can explain this, such as my Scorpio Ascendant, my 4th house stellium, and my Plutonian moon. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I feel envy when I see someone's Sun/Moon in the same sign, not really sure why. Actually scratch that, I know why - because everyone I've ever met with this aspect has been insanely cool and purposeful (I know a Cap, Aries, Gemini, and Leo who were born on new moons). I think it's amazing when someone has a triad mixture of one of the elements. I also love a powerful Mars. My Mars is very well aspected in my chart (trine to Pluto and Jupiter, sextile to Saturn, etc) but it's in Pisces. The thing that bothers me the most about myself is that I have had the worst tendency to be non-confrontational, even to my detriment. So when I see Mars in signs such as Capricorn/Scorpio/Aries etc., I do sigh with envy and think "must be nice!", however misguided the feeling is. IP: Logged |

For synastry. Someone posted a synastry here on Lindaland once and I was like, wow, why can't I hook up with someone I have that kind of synastry with?I don't think I've EVER had synastry or a composite with someone that made the relationship look beautiful and amazing. IP: Logged |

Great response and insight! Maybe it's competitiveness and not envy I am feeling. IDK; probably a mixture of both. How does the competitiveness plays out for you? Random but I totally get your sentiment. I have a tie of 3 planets in both fire and water signs in my chart but I am water dominant. Not only that but I have only 2 planets in Air signs and I am more dominant in Air than Fire. WTF? IP: Logged |

Yes, Venus on the ASC. It's not fair! I have Mars there 😩 It's very awkward being or feeling masculine when you're a female.IP: Logged |

Heh, I have Mars not on the Ascendant but in the 1st house so I know what you mean. To make matters worse, I have my Venus squared my Ascendant too. XD I have always admired how some people have stelliums. Not necessarily easier per say, but more conjunctions aka more intensity. I have a splash chart, so I have like one or two planets in a house at most. I also have only one personal planet conjunction that is pretty common to have (Sun conjunct Venus). I guess I desire to have more so-called "unique" and unusual aspects. I have too many trines and sextiles and not enough conjunctions. I want more intensity. IP: Logged |

Well, I feel tiny little bit envious of those who have strong Venus. Ex of someone I'm interested in has for example Sun tightly conjunct Venus. How can I compete with that with my unaspected Venus especially when that guy is Taurean. At least she has thia in pretty asexual sign (Aqua) Mercury-Uranus aspects are also quite envy-inducing for me. Because for the last few months, I had serious doubts about my intelligence. My admiration also goes to well-aspected Mars in Cappy. This guy can get **** done. Me? I have Mars in Taurus. It's opposite Pluto and trine Uranus which is giving it some "juice" but it's also conjunct Draco Neptune -.- IP: Logged |

An ex had a Virgo Sun, Mercury and Jupiter all closely conjunct his Virgo Ascendant. I felt like he got through life so easily and working hard and being able to focus and stick to goals (unlike me) got him places easily. He also has Venus in Libra which is a good place for it, while I have mine opposite his in Aries in detriment . His Sag moon also made him less introverted as Virgos sometimes are, while my stuffy, serious moon in Capricorn in detriment makes me more shy and resentful of his ability to just let loose and have fun. Also, your friend is a Sag sun ruled by Jupiter who is all about lucky breaks and expansion, so that's probably why she seems lucky. When I was younger (before I got into astrology) I was envious of extroverts. I thought life came so easy to them. But now my Leo rising is coming out and I'm pretty much happy every day all day. I'm happy go lucky and I love my life. My emotions are balanced- sun/moon conjunct. And I have ambition and drive to get what I want done- mars and MC Aries. Soo basically, I love my chart and I don't want anyone else's chart :-) it's MINE! :-)IP: Logged |

I envy those charts whose Suns weren't in the 12th. Still trying to embrace my 12th planets but I think my Leo ASC makes it difficult.IP: Logged |

Well I've never felt envious but now that I think about it, it would nice to have mars in the first house instead of the 12th. I have it conjuncting the asc but I still definitely feel that 12th house energy. Also mars trine/sextile sun sounds nice too. I have the square so it can be a bit of a struggle.IP: Logged |

Now I'm curious about that Synastry. Do you remember some aspects? Or what are your favourites aspects? IP: Logged |

Moon conjunct Jupiter... Before, because now that I think about it, Jupiter makes everything 'bigger' and Moon has to do with emotions... I envy more when I see a Synastry and Composite Chart with aspects that I like but not too much because I have a very good Synastry and Composite Chart with someone who (for what I see) doesn't care -too much- about me. So... I remember I wanted to have a prominent Venus and some Capricorn traits, but then I realised that my dominant planet is Venus (also ruler), Capricorn is one of my dominant signs and I have Sun conjunct Saturn. It happened the same with Sagittarius and Jupiter. I find it funny. IP: Logged |

I used to envy my brother's chart. I'm not quite sure what it was about it that I thought made it "easier." It could have been his Moon in Sagittarius or his Jupiter in Sagittarius, but this isn't really enough to claim his chart is "easier" than mine is. He has 5 retrograde planets and I only have 3. Regardless, I'm not envious of my brother's chart anymore. I'm not even envious of him at all anymore actually. To be honest I like my chart as it is. I used to wish my Jupiter was in a different sign than Virgo, but I'm over it at this point. IP: Logged |

Yes I envy my only friend's chart because he has a less intense chart than I do. I have Pluto conjuncting my IC and aspecting all of my personal planets which I just know gives me this energy that makes everyone dislike me for no reason, where my friend has a conjunction between Venus, Jupiter, and his North Node and people like him for no reason, when I'm the one who's very nice and friendly when he has an extremely big ego and they prefer being around him than me. He even has Mercury trine Pluto which I believe is the reason he's super smart.IP: Logged |

Well honestly I used to be so crazy jealous of people with lots of fire in their chart. I wanted to be more upfront and direct about everything but then I realized, fire people tend to get themselves into a lot of trouble, whereas air people usually get away with anything. I'm not complaining anymore IP: Logged |

I have moon in Leo, in the 10th. Leo moon simply does not feel envy *swoosh*. They look at their chart and whatever it is, decide that it's the chart others should envy.IP: Logged |

I HAVE been slightly jealous of those with "easy flowing" charts aka not too many squares and oppositions like I have but the more I've studied astrology and the more I've studied people I've come to the realization that I seem to have my shi* together far better than those with trines and sextiles! omg YES lol. Especially venus conjunct ascendant. I have pluto conjunct ascendant, which I think makes me sexy but in a possibly evil/ugly way. Like I feel uglyhot, but not feminine. My venus also conjuncts my saturn, so there are a lot of ugly duckling feelings there.I once dated someone with a grand fire trine, and I was envious and resentful about how easy everything came to him and how effortlessly athletic and talented he was, also nothing got him down. Meanwhile I struggle with depression and getting out of bed sometimes if I don't have to on occasion. But now, after that relationship and knowing him for a few years now, I appreciate some of the difficulties in my chart because it allows for growth. He has been and will stay the same person forever. I find that in some ways enviable still, but I couldn't imagine living without a regeneration process (heavy scorpio influences in my chart-- pluto rising in scorp, moon in scorp). IP: Logged |
