I've been reading where people are saying their signs have changed. Something about there being another sign added. So does that mean I'm no longer a Taurus?IP: Logged |

This "new" news is actually old news from a few years ago and has for some reason been regurgitated, and no, the signs haven't changed, so don't worry.IP: Logged |

This seems to be popping back up again.Ophiuchus is just one of the 88 constellations in the sky. The Egyptians, Romans and Mayans knew about other constellations when creating a system that has been used for thousands of years. A constellation is not the same as a sign used in astrology. Signs are used to identify degrees of the ecliptic. IP: Logged |

No, it does not. This story has gotten recycled in the popular knows-nothing-about-astrology media so many times in the last few decades by journalists (and rationalists) who don't know the difference between a zodiac sign and a constellation -- and who think we astrologers don't know that they've slipped out of alignment! The zodiac is a space-time 'circle' formed by cycles of our sun. There are even more than 13 constellations, some of them very small in the space they occupy, but there are only 12 zodiac signs. ------------------
