Does having one equal to having more testosterone? For instance would a Mars in Aries have more testosterone than a Mars in Cancer? IP: Logged |

My Virgo Mars conj ASC is much stronger than my step daughter's Aries Mars 8H. Do I have more testosterone? Prolly not I do have a knack for sports however and I am also quite muscular. IP: Logged |

I don't know. It doesn't sound logical to assume that a masculine Mars could mean more testosterone since a good portion of men have a feminine Mars. In my case, however, I have more testosterone than the average female. My Mars is in Aries, but I wouldn't say I have more testosterone than a man. IP: Logged |

I wouldn't say that it is directly linked to the amount of testosterone an individual has, but I do think the strength of Mars in comparison to Venus can indicate a dominance in Masculinity or Femininity. For instance, a Mars in Aries is more likely to be more expressive of masculinity than a Cancer Mars. I know this is a generalization, but from my experience, many Cancer Mars males I've encountered lacked in Masculinity in comparison to those who had a stronger mars. Then again, there's Michael Phelps, so (who by the way has his Mars on his Ascendant). I have a feminine Mars personally (Mars in Scorpio), and it is technically in my 12th house. However, it has an exact conjunction to my ascendant and therefore I feel it should belong in the first as a result. Despite having many female friends, I often feel a need to express this raw, masculine energy and despite being homosexual, am quite difficult to pin down as one. I express a lot more masculine energy for a feminine Mars. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I believe a weaker Mars overcompensates. I've seen many Cancer or Libra Marses who are more aggressive and dominant than my Aries Mars. Even Pisces Mars. Mars in domicile is much more laid back than the astro books tell you. It has inner strength and confidence that if it comes down to it, s/he can win over you, but it's likely they won't make a parade out of it. However, I did have higher testosterone levels when I was in my 20s. It didn't correlate with anything, I wasn't much into sports and I'm not an aggressive person in a day to day life. But there are outlets. IP: Logged |

That is an interesting analogy, and it makes sense. They compensate for their lack of Marsian energy by being more outwardly aggressive than need be. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

I've seen that a lot with detrimental planets. Think Venus in Aries or Venus in Scorpio. Or Mercury in Sagittarius. They overdo the planetary expression but sometimes it doesn't come out bad, especially if they're well aspected. Other times, yes, it comes out as vulgar, desperate or superficial. I have 3 planets in domicile and honestly I am not as loud about them as people who have them in detriment or fall. It's like, I don't need to prove myself, you know? IP: Logged |

Heh. Is there a doctor in the House? Actually, it could be interesting if a doctor were to share results of health (with things like hormone levels) and astrology (and try to decide which are direct or indirect results, if they matter at all, which are the effects of lifestyle and nutrition, etc), though of course that raises ethical dilemmas. And lots of men would feel uncomfortable if they were being measured for testosterone for any study, astrological or otherwise. IP: Logged |

I have my Mars in a feminine sign, Taurus, but it's in the 1st house and I do have higher levels of testosterone than the average woman, thanks to a hormone imbalance. However, that is to say that I don't feel very masculine deep inside, because every part of my chart is in water and earth except for my Aqua Saturn and Aries Ascendant. Not sure if there is a correlation between masculinity and different signs, but I do notice that despite the fact that my mom has her Mars in Pisces, it is also in her 1st house and she does come off a lot more aggressive and assertive than the usual Pisces Mars. But, unlike me, she has a lot of masculine signs in her chart, so that may showcase a much more "masculine" kind of personality. IP: Logged |

Not necessarily, because even in astrological terms there's a lot else that can take place in the birth chart that contributes to the overall character of the person and their action orientation. Mars and Pluto are the dominant planets in my chart in relation to MC and Asc respectively. I may've had high testosterone levels in early/mid-teens, but not likely comapred to peers. I've had issues with flat or lagging hormone levels since at least my mid-20s. Hormmones fluctuate. You won't be able to nail them to a fixed value because of a single birth chart factor. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓

I'm not sure about testosterone but I do believe that prominent Mars is rather masculine in expression and "tough" so to speak, usually drawn to men too as far as social aspects go and hanging out. My sun is exactly conjunct Mars by 0 degrees, it's also conj my Mercury. My Mars is also exactly parallel Pluto by 0'6 seconds. When I was a young, like REALLY young, about 4 or so, I remember thinking I was a boy and it took me several years to acknowledge that I was indeed "oh yeah?! " a girl.. Lol I was a huge tomboy and would more often think of myself as a boy than a girl until I was in my teens. I'm bisexual, and feel rather androgynous to be honest. I honestly think that in my immediate past life I was a man because of how confused I was as a small child, plus when I was about 2 or so my mom said by the time I could choose my own toys I chose tools over dolls ha, I'm definitely made to make stuff but like that matters on gender. I was and still am rather reckless at times and accident prone, always hurting myself it seems.. I can see where u are coming from tho because I had a friend who had her Mars in Aries in the 7th house, she had a double Virgo rising sun, Pisces moon and she said she did have a higher level of testosterone. She was very masculine for a female and also bisexual. More drawn to male friendships too. IP: Logged |
