I mean, a man with moon in Libra will feel more attracted to a woman who has Libra traits or to a woman that has Aries traits.

What is your line of thinking in including the opposite sign? Where did you read that?

I think attraction comes from Venus sign, I understand the Moon works differently, as in Moon what he needs and explains emotions and Venus what he's attracted to.

Because Sun opposite Moon in Synastry means attraction. That's the reason .
And it supposed that the Moon is where we found comfort? (I read that so many times but I'm not so sure). Libra Moon would not feel comfort around someone who has Aries traits but Libra Moon can feel attraction because opposite signs feel attraction.
So my question is what is more strong: the same sign or the opposite.
I know that Venus has to do with our tastes and all that but right now I'm asking about Moon. I got that doubt.

IMO when they say Sun opposite Moon means attraction in synastry, they are saying this can bring two people together initially. That the energy has enough friction to stir interest. Sun opposite Moon though would be uncomfortable for both Sun and Moon long-term because they'd feel uncomfortable being themselves around each other (hope I'm getting that right.)

A man with Moon in Libra would probably be drawn or comfortable expressing his emotional self a pleasant woman who wasn't 'difficult', and was submissive.

I'm not saying an Aries type woman wouldn't catch his eye either since a) we're only going off one planet, and b) Libra is a cardinal sign so the larger genre of what he likes would be cardinal energy, but when or if you bring up more of these types of topics in the future nobody is going to suggest the opposite sign. Just not the way things are done.

Hope that makes sense.

ETA: Sigh. Mars is not what a man finds physically attractive in a woman. I understand the misconception because Mars is a *physical* planet, but Venus is what he finds beautiful, what he's open to romantically. Mars is HOW he pursues Venus.

Look at sun and mars where it's placed and how its aspected, we don't follow our moon, when we do we are unattractive (beta state) the moon and its powers help men none lol

What touches a mans sun and where its place shows what he is conscious of, what inspires him and what keeps him "living"

Mars for a man is what we desire and find physically attractive in a woman

Squares on a mans sun could show what he may find unappealing also..or uncool, with my sun square Pluto and Jupiter I've noticed I'm weary of most Scorpios I meet because a natal square from their ruling planet could mean if I choose to let them in my life something Pluto related will definitely happen for better or worse that will teach me of myself, vise versa for sag and Jupiter people

My aspects:
Sun in Pisces
Sun trine Asc
Sun conjunct Saturn
Sun square Jupiter
Sun square Pluto
Mars in Leo
Mars opposite moon
Mars opposite mercury
Mars trine Jupiter

Id say I love cancers the most physically of any sign I find them highly instinctual and loving

My sun is in 4th which could explain that and my sun makes a semi Sextile aspect to my moon, my mars is Aldo opposite my moon . cancer rules my 9th (ruled by sag) but is also in 8th...never really met a cancer I straight up disliked

I really like Aquarius too I find them sexual and exciting as sh1t

My 4th house is ruled by Aquarius even though I'm a Pisces , I have a aqua moon and mercury (my mars is opposite moon and mercury) I get along with aquas easily

My last is probably Capricorn or Virgo

I find their practicality sexy , love how they can be cold and helps me keeps my pisceness in check

My sun in conjunct Saturn which rules Capricorn, Aries sixth house (mars rules my sixth would show why I find Virgos badass and first and my mars in 10th makes me desire Capricorn traits in a female

Now a woman follows her moon and Venus through most life situations that would most likely show what you ladies ffind pleasing

Good post but mars is what a man finds physically compatible with , his Venus is what he is aesthetically compatible with

As a man I can assure this is true because my mars in Leo and I love anything Leo, Its also opposite my Aquarius mercury and moon and I find Aquarius the most alluring sign to me , but this also makes me passionate for emotional familiarity (moon and Cancer)

hmmm... I don't encounter many Aries females, but the interaction is generally positive.

I can always spot that "childish and playful Aries energy".

====================================
Gemini Sun,
Capricorn Rising
Aries Moon
Gemini Mercury
Venus Taurus
Mars Cancer

More likely to be drawn to someone with similar moon sign traits.

The opposite sign traits can also form an attraction. But it is likely to grow more tense as time passes.

Initially the differences they have in approaches may be what attracts them. But then the same differences is what pulls them apart.

That's been my experience.

As far as Venus and Mars.
I don't know. It doesn't work very well in my case.

I believe some hard aspects benefit the attraction. Opposite likely. Like the tango. My husband and I have hard aspects, that keeps a fire burning. Looking at Juno and Vesta might shine some light too.

I think they find more of an emotional connection with women who have their moon sign. Opposites and squares are "hot" aspects, because it creates tension. But I think overall men are going to be more consciously attracted to someone who is on their same wavelength as their emotions (moon). It is common that men marry women who's sun sign is their moon sign.

Example, my brother is a Gemini moon and he is married to a Gemini sun. He dated a girl for 7 years but always had trepidations about marrying her. He eventually ended it knowing that she wasn't the one. Then he met the Gemini girl and got married to her exactly one year to the day after their first date. So yes, men are more attracted to their moon sign than in an opposition because it creates familiarity and an easy understanding between one another.

Usually the moon sign shows how you experience your mother. So to answer your question, it depends on his relationship with his mother.
I am a libra sun. A libra moon guy told me I remind him of his mother. He has a good relationship with her so I assume I make him comfortable. If not, then he at least feels some familiarity.
He says I argue like his mother and so many times I've heard "thats exactly what my mother says!!" from him.
If he didn't get along with his mom I'm sure he would avoid libra women.

IMO, I think for men, since the Moon and Venus represent women, they follow those planets.

For women, it would be the Sun and Mars.

Which makes the most sense (assuming it's a heterosexual male)!

I am not so sure about this anymore. I am a straight female and have been attracted to my venus and moon sign traits plenty of times. Like i find kind, caring and moody men very attractive. And someone who has a "glow " to him and who stands out is also appealing. I have moon in cancer and venus in leo. I can definitely see a combination of my moon, venus and mars in what i find attractive in a male.

Me too. I have experienced my moon conjunct his sun and it was the most comfortable and I instantly saw him husband material. BUT it will add long lasting feeling if the man at least has similar traits with the combination of my sun-mars sign in his overall natal.

With male I found they tend to settle with their moon-venus combination. Men who have asked and really pursued me to marry them tend to have their moon-venus make an aspect to my sun. Most of them moon soft aspect to my sun or square, I have never encountered male's moon conjunction/opposite to my sun, maybe no attraction? or I didn't notice.

Attraction starts and ends in the Sun/Moon/Asc area of the chart.

The conjunction aspect is the only one where two planets are physically together. By extension he'll be more attracted to women with planets in conjunction to his moon.
