anyway.

Aries- Never known one personally.
Taurus- Pleasant to talk to. Often find them a TAD dull. The slowness or practicality doesn't bother me, it's just the inflexibility of thought.
Gemini- The only one's I've known have squared my mercury really closely, so they tended to grate on me. Mercury truly likes being in Gem though- they're natural speakers and I admire that.
Cancer- Sexy voices. I have no idea why!
Leo- Don't poke the lion... there's great pride in the intellectual complex here...
Virgo- I'll have to agree and say that I don't often get along with people of the same Mercury sign. I think especially since Virgo is exalted here, there can be a bit of competition. Most other's I've met can be really neurotic haha. They can be really critical about how other people speak. That being said I get where they're coming from.
Libra- My FAVOURITE mercury. I have countless friends with this mercury. The only thing I can think of is that my Mercury DUAD is in Libra... They're just very good at the give and take in conversations.
Scorpio- Natural simpatico. They entertain my 8th house babblings.
Sagittarius- Upbeat and optimistic! I've noticed repeatedly these are the one's who don't shy away from philosophical conversations.
Capricorn- Very SHORT. My Gemini Moon feels starved around them.
Aquarius- Indifferent to them. Not enough experience.
Pisces- A bit, uh...wishy washy. It's my 3rd house though so I actually can talk to them forever...

I agree with quite a bit of this.
What the heck is it with cancer mercury? "just talk to me, about anything. I'm listening."

Aries- Argumentative
Taurus-oh so thorough
Gemini-Annoying
Cancer-Incomprehensible
Leo-Think they are right. But not.
Virgo-"Vase" and "Vaas" enounciation etiquette
Libra-Talk me out of making any decision
Scorpio-Says little to absolutely nothing
Sag-Everything is funny and has a philosophical bent.
Cap-Dont waste your words.Unless they are profound.
Aquarius-Notices the patterns in world think.
Pisces-Loves to talk about the unknown or highly irregular.

As a Merc in Cap i like Sag,Aqua,Aries and Pisces Mercury signs.

Mercury square Mars
Mercury parrallel Jup
Mercury parrallel Uranus
Mercury parrallel Neptune

Funny enough, i dont really find Cap,Virgo and Taur Mercury that fascinating to converse with

It's not Mercury....I asked other INTX's if they related to your thought process and yes they do it to! Lol
But the INTJ has a saggy Mercury sextile Venus(5 degree) opposed Saturn(9 degree) in 3rd house.
The other has Pisces Mercury in 4th, trine Moon and Mars but square his Pluto...he is an INTP.

It's your Te/Ni working together...although the INTP I mentioned uses different functions but in a simular way as you INTJ's. INTP uses Ti/Ne....
INTJ's keep the thoughts in your head and gain momentum the more you think about it, your in your dominant function which introverted intuition. This is your first function, or how you draw information into you. Your 1st function is Ni, where you get information or your source...your drawing things in and then you use your 2nd function Te, extroverted thinking to developed a picture from the information you brought in.
Then you use your 3rd function is Fi, introverted feeling which is how you process everything you've brought in but this time with/ through feelings.
4th function is Se, extroverted sensing...this is how you use all this information in real life and make it tangible or useful.

Every INTJ processes like this.....

I have sag mercury in the 12th house.

I'm quite eager to share my thoughts and what I know. I like discussions where no one has to hold back because that they feel like they don't know enough or have the wrong answers.

It conj sun/uranus, often there's a million of thoughts racing around in my mind. So, there are occasions when I finally arrange my thoughts well enough to speak only to find that the conversation has already moved onto something else.

In my experiences, I enjoy conversations with scorp merc and sag mercury the most.

Scorp mecury keeps my attention. There are difficulties but usually we're able to work past those.

I love talking to sag mercury people I know. They're expressive and animated like me, and hence don't get turn off by the way I speak. We get together and have a merry time, talking cr*p, telling tall tales n do dumb things to make each other laugh.

I find it difficult to deal with people who don't talk about what bugs them. Sure there are nonverbal communication signals but still.... speak to me - I seldom have this issue with aries mercury. Misunderstandings, conflicts and whatnot get resolved very quickly.

Gemini mercury and virgo merc- I like the way they absorb and process information. Usually I like working with them.

Some cap merc people don't really like the way I jump from one topic to another. It can still be good, I have sun conj mercury dw with my sag sun/cap merc friend and we get past differences. We share a somewhat wacky sense of humor.

Same goes for fixed mercury people. Usually find me distracting and easily distracted.

Great point!
You reminded me that I need to keep studying the MBTI and Enneagram. I got excited and then gave up.
Shocking.

I LOVE Sag Mercury.

My brother and daughter have this.

My brother is one of the funniest people I ever knew. My daughter makes me laugh so hard that she really shouldn't ride in the passenger seat when I drive. More than once I've felt like I should pull over as I was laughing so hard I was crying and couldn't see.

Well I'm smiling now but I really need to watch my driving, when she's in the car.

Also I love the Sag Mercuries on this forum, not to play favorites

Electro, you said: Capricorn: The ones I know are fascinated with sci-fi and history. My grandpa is such a Cap Mercury it's ridiculous; the movies he always gets me are sci-fi related and he's always telling me stories about the war, life, and alien discoveries. They're really interesting. My Grandpa though is also a Sag sun.

SO funny because my ex was a Sag sun and Cap Mercury. This is exactly him haha! He loved that show on the history channel about Aliens. With the weird guy documenting it with the weird hair, lol what is that show called? Who knew this was a Cap Mercury thing?

I haven't paid much attention to mercury signs but from what I've noticed:

Gemini mercuries: Blunt speakers, speak honestly rather than delicately to avoid someone's feelings from getting hurt. Kind of similar to how Sags are.

Pisces mercuries: I'm a pisces Mercury, my boyfriend is as well, and two of my coworkers. We plan our words to other people's feelings. I guess that's the best way to describe it.

Aah, Mercury.. I haven’t interacted with all of them, I suppose. At least not at close quarters. The short of it: get along well with fellow water mercuries & domicile mercuries.

Gemini Merc: Love getting into debates with them! They can talk about anything under the sun with such ease. Speaking of, this is also one of the mercuries most likely to put strangers at ease right away. That random guy on the bus you didn’t mind making small talk with? Probably a Gemini mercury.

Cancer Merc: They are sweethearts. Kinda shy, humble about their intelligence. Communicate more in smiles and gestures than words. Usually good singers.

Leo Merc: Aaargh. Frustrating as hell. They think they know what’s best for *you* (on every level) - so they go ahead and decide for you. Do it on your behalf. And then tell you with a flourish. There’s a tense pause where they’re expecting applause, or at least effusive praise and I’m trying not to throw something at them. Can’t get too mad at them though, they’re very warm, genuine folks. Never fake about anything. Also, to be fair – they’re not always tooting their own horn as astrology paints them to be. They just know what they’re good at, and are not afraid to put it on display (can you hear the collective gasp of all the water mercuries as they read this?). Also, they “advertise” their friends’ talents too (to anyone who’ll listen) – they’re proud of their friends’ accomplishments and talents, never petty or insecure about them at all.

Virgo Merc: One of my favourites. I think I’d talked on some other thread about their “built-in communication etiquette”. They (almost) never frustrate me by not responding, or being “absent” in the conversation. Witty as hell. The ones that are closer in degree to my Venus/Jupiter – I get along with especially well. Can talk for hours. What was supposed to be a 15 minute chat turns into a two hour laugh-fest.

Scorp Mercs: Fellas after my own . It’s a cliché, but yeah these folks are the ones I’m least successful keeping a secret around – but what’s surprising is, I don’t even mind! Cons: Ooh our fights can be brutal. And our mutual “seething” silences even more damaging. I suspect the term “uneasy peace” was coined after a Scorp merc.

Sag Mercs: Those lovable goofballs. They certainly do *not* mince words. No matter how many years I’ve known them, their bluntness still makes me go..

But I’m smiling on the inside ‘coz I appreciate their honesty. Oh and, they’re hilarious – they’ll have you in splits five minutes into a conversation.

Cap Mercs: I’m always trying to shorten my sentences around them..

Aqua Mercs: *Wheee* Pretty interesting to watch their mental acrobatics at work. They take logical leaps n bounds, cut across a sidewalk, jump the turnstile. And reach some brilliant new conclusion.

Pisces Mercs: Depends on the person a lot more than other mercs for some reason. (Because mutable water maybe?). The ones expressing the “higher vibration” – are very tuned in to the emotional under-currents around them. They can be very soothing to talk to. For me, conversations never really “end” with them, they feel like pauses in an unending stream of dialogue.

Very correct. I've done that before, it starts with a casual remark such as "..the Bus is late again"... and goes from there.

@Elysia. I like Scorpio Mercury. Theres a intuitive and logical combination that seams to complement each other.

I could be mistaken but I see Scorpio Mercury as like having a hutch and then you have the logic to prove it.

For example lets say you wakeup the next morning and you find someone damaged your mailbox, you have a hutch telling you its probability one of your neighbors kids..but your not sure.

As you think it through and collect clues your hutch gets proven.

Oh yeah, well spotted!
It does work like that..
I think you had given a super example on some other thread - about how Gemini & Scorp mercuries think (the one about Erwin Rommel). That was bang on, how they ended up doing the same thing - but in vastly different ways. The downside is, that sometimes it's hard to explain "how you got there" if you have a Scorp mercury.

Mercury in Capricorn is the only mercury that I dislike. All the other Mercuries bring something positive to the table.

I find them extremely pigheaded and stupidly stubborn to change there stance. Or there arrogance justifies there foolish thinking.

I worked with a guy who was doing a side contract with another company.

He tells me they picked him because he's the best and yadaada...

3 months down the road he losses the contract, I wanted to tell him what your doing is very competitive..but he is so stuck up in his head that its not worth the argument.

EDIT
-----
I forgot to mention he lost the contract because its very competitive and they found someone who can do the same job cheaper...it has nothing to do with being the best or not.

Its about the economy, yet his ego is to big he neglected that fundamental principal.

Hey teasel..!
No, not at all..! I thought this thread was just to describe what we like and not like about each mercury sign that we've come across. I didn't know you were an Aries mercury.. And I haven't come across that many in real life, or known them well enough to develop any likes/dislikes about their style. So I thought it wouldn't be fair to comment.

Taurus - the only one I know (or only one that I've looked up, I guess).. was a Gemini, and his merc landed in my 3rd. Made a bunch of aspects. So I thought that would be very much coloured by that specific case. Also, talking about him brings back (ahem, painful) memories, you know? Oh well..

I also left out Libra, coz again - not too many known. And the one I knew well, again..lotta history, so left that out too.

I have Merc square Saturn too. I completely understand the "putting off till I can deal with it" thing. Also, I can imagine the amount of self-censoring that goes on in your head. It ain't fun, but eventually our Mercuries & Saturns have to find a "good" way to work together.. Or at least I'm hoping..

P.S. Yeah, I get you (about those past incidents making you extra-cautious about new people/other people).. It's not a flaw, it's natural. Once bitten twice shy, right?

I'm a Capricorn Mercuries and the main thing I have noticed about us is we talk really slow and can come across as anti-social or just shy/introverted. We also hate trivial small talk and the phony niceties that are common with other people.

When I said Capircorn Mercury can be pigheaded.

Here is a true example:

1)Purchasing a used car:
Gemini Mercury: There's something weird about this car? Some parts don't exactly line up properly.

Capricorn Mercury: The VIN number report says there is no accident, therefore there was never an accident with this car.

Gemini Mercury: Yes, but not all accidents get reported.

There our hundreds of accidents that never get reported.

If the two parties can work something out and the person who's at fault has $$ cash on hand to fix the damage do you think they would report it?

If someone was backing up and hit your car but no one is nearby, do you think they would actually report it?

Assuming an accident happened on the dealers lot do you think The dealer whould report it since it whould reduce the resale value?

Capricorn Mercury: Still continues to believe in what the report says.
