@the89freespirit,I'm supposed to learn to not serve/help people all the time, and worry more about myself. I probably already served people enough for many past lives. IP: Logged |

So, I have Virgo SN and he way you wrote your intro was just like "YES." I am working on trusting, accepting the notion that things can be true without me witnessing it. Trying to have more compassion and patience with others. Trying to be mellow. I fear it's more or less transpired into laziness though. I'm learning to do more and more of what I love, following my heart per se.IP: Logged |

Still trying to figure out what my Aqua NN in the 8th is all about. Detached in marriage maybe? Or passion? Or to delve deep and be passionate in humanitarian causes?I've read somewhere that we're not supposed to completely abandon our SN, that we can reach our NN through our SN and to balance those two out. I'm still not sure how that could be possible with my nodes though. IP: Logged |

I have NN in Virgo in the 8th house. I'm attracted more to Piscean mode of life than to the orderly Virgo, but I get it that order and discipline are necessary. I am also slightly interested in health. But what really interest me is the occult and the hidden sides of life, and in that I am much more 8th house person than 2nd.IP: Logged |

Mine is in scorpio - i really dont understand scorpio much...i guess i should stop being comformist (taurus south) and start being more passionate with what i want to do and be ? Or maybe if i add houses - nn in 4th and sn in 10th i should focuse my passions on family life, transforming my home,my family rather than obsessing with material world and career? IP: Logged |

Placidus and equal houses, it is in the 12th house. Whole signs, it is in the 1st house. IP: Logged |

I don't go by whole signs. So, if I were you, I would see it as being in the 12th. I don't think it is exactly about giving up serving others. Pisces and the 12th is still service oriented. But not in an earthly tangible way. Spiritual service, adhering to higher and unworldly values, artistic discipline. Moving past always needing to be busy and always needing to be correct. It's like Virgo's brand of service is waiting tables. Pisces' form of service is sheer transcendence and deep awakening, which is not dependent on "regular" life. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

Yeah, I must not dive too deep into that Pisces pool, I must keep grounded with a little Virgo! IP: Logged |

Do I have to have aspects to my north node to show up in my life? My NN is in Taurus, 5th house. I have no aspects to NN but SN quintiles Jupiter in 2nd house exactly. I don't associate myself with or look forward to anything 5th house is known for. I don't really care about having family or becoming a parent. It's always been puzzling for me because I don't know how to grow toward my NN.. IP: Logged |

Not at all. Aspects help but the NN gets expressed on its own. It requires persistence and commitment but its not like a planet. It is helpful to think of it almost like one of the angles. It is a point of manifestation. And you are limiting your idea of the 5th House. It is not about having a family. That's the 4th. The 5th does show parenting skills, rapport with kids, your inner child. But it is also creative talent, your special charisma, how you express your personality, hobbies, fun, dating, attitude toward romance. All of these things should be your priority. It is easy to doubt your NN skills and interests for some time. As an Aquarius NN, I used to claim that I was so right brained and not the cerebral type (though I always knew I was smart). I used to think being super passionate and always wanting to be connected to others (Leo Sun/SN in the 7th) was how I was supposed to live. But turns out that I am actually very intellectual and cerebral and that I thrive best when I can hone my brainpower on my own and through my own projects and goals and just be an overall free thinker. I feel much better focusing more on my Aquarius side. I still have my very passionate, emotional, lovey dovey side. But in doses. So that is the trick with the Nodes. The SN is like a mirage when you make it a priority. You are just chasing an empty dream that you think will make you happy. Of course it is about transforming and balancing the SN, not just cutting it off completely. But you are much much better off focusing on your NN. It feels funny at first. But after you get used to it, you realize it is actually what you have always wanted but just could not access or admit to. So you are destined to live out the path of the 5th House. The 11th House energy needs to take a backseat. You have already had your fill of it and only stick to it cause its familiar and safe. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

The 5th house can also rule sports, recreation, and fun, in general. NN in Taurus may mean learning to live in mundane reality. IP: Logged |

Great question. I have North Node in Capricorn Retrograde in the 5th House. This placement is supposed to represent fun and exploring your creativity. Not only that but I'm supposed to create a career/living out of creativity and fun. Honesty sounds like a difficult and confusing thing for me to do. I also have Chiron in Leo Retrograde in the 12th House (YAY!!). So my wounded healer is my creativity and not feeling confident/overlooked with own talents. I honestly don't know how it shows up. Anyone have the same North Node placements/sign as me, jump me, let me know your ideas. IP: Logged |

Great question, I've been thinking about this a bit lately. My North Node is in Sagittarius, 3rd House with Saturn-Moon conjunct the South Node. Sure I'm a philosopher, most certainly a writer, known to be a singer but a *speaker*...? I find that quite nerve-wracking and uncomfortable. However, I have been nudged recently in the direction of beginning workshops / talks about astrology. I live in a big city full of healers, reiki practioners, tarot readers, psychics, it's a lovely community but there are actually no advanced astrologers around. None! It's such a crazy gap in the market and with my higher self whispering to me too and that North Node illustrating all of my fears (Saturn) but how it's my path.... Well I simply have to take the next Nodal step really don't I!! ;-) IP: Logged |

How can you use healing disciplines to further your sense of self and expressiveness? I'm a huge fan of reiki, but any kind of psychic work, energy work, healing knowledge is going to thrive from this 8th House node. Do you have some barriers come up when I suggest this? Are you skeptical because you've heard about too many charlatans? Often the North Node potentials make us uncomfortable. I've met people with North conjunct personal planets who are very uncomfortable expressing the energy of these planets - especially in youth (north node conjunct Sun can be crippling shy in childhood!!). It's much easier to consider the options which don't scare you. I see the 8th House to be about energy, life, death, transformation, the soul, and how to integrate these into the physical and through sex and connecting with another. All that is the 2nd House, connects with others in the 8th House. :-) As for Aquarius, just make sure you do it your own way. Scary enough....when we're encouraged to do the opposite, but do it your own way and you'll thrive...!! ------------------ blog: http://waxlobster.blogspot.co.uk/ {only read if you're okay with hippies ~ peace and love ♥} IP: Logged |

Thanks @the89freespirit and @Sulkyarcher! Putting fun stuff as a priority... Wow that seems almost too easy like why wouldn't I just choose to have fun anyways? Hahaha but I think it's fitting for me because I'm super goal oriented and I forget to get loosen up and have fun because I constantly feel I need to achieve my goals right now and fun comes after. I tend to be pessimistic and too hard on myself even when I have already accomplished something. I don't reward myself and let go of myself. I wonder this is all what my NN is telling me to do then? Thanks for the comments! It was helpful! IP: Logged |

I always hear about using my healing abilities because of my Cancer sun and mercury in the 12th, but I never know how to express it. I believe having those placements makes me very sensitive. I've always been told to not be so sensitive so when I mask my sensitivity, what happens is that I come off very insensitive. Psychic work? I am pretty skeptical about those kind of things and it scares me. I had this lady come up to me and tell me that she sensed a certain aura about me and that I should get a reading. That freaked me out big time because all I could think about was ghosts following me around lol.... quote: Originally posted by waxlobster: How can you use healing disciplines to further your sense of self and expressiveness?
