This one always gets me - Moon opposite planets in synastry. Is it binding or is it separating? Have you ever experienced a hot or passionate moon opposite ____ planet synastry? What happened? What about if you have a natal moon opposition and someone activates that? What does that do for you? You're used to the energy of the opposition but then someone comes along and triggers the planet opposite your emotional state. I can't imagine liking that! But maybe it's good? What do you guys think? IP: Logged |

I have noticed that I can't deal with anything opposite my Cap Moon and that is despite being a Cancer Sun myself! If I had to choose one placement that has worked Ok, it'd be Cancer Mars.IP: Logged |

Wow, that's super interesting! Haha. Esp since as a Cancer Sun I would assume you'd have basic compatibility on an identity and character level... like "Oh, I get you. Cool. It's easy to get along." But I guess your capricorn moon is really harsh and kind of demanding and tough, like "Ugh grow up" which is why you can only manage a feistier energy like a mars energy. Funny! IP: Logged |

i know supposed soulmates that have the sun-sun opposition. any powerful connection will rise above weaker connections, no matter the connection. you'll have a more special desired experience with someone who has an exact 90 degree square, then someone with some random non-powerful aspect like 77 or something (thats what i think)IP: Logged |

I'm not sure about that... I've stayed in touch with someone for 10 years and we barely have any strong synastries. But there are people with whom I had strong Sun-Venus squares and even if we kissed or hooked up when we met, I dropped them immediately and became repelled by them. So I don't think this is true. BUT this thread is about MOON OPPOSITIONS in Synastry! IP: Logged |

Oppositions to the Moon make the emotional nature of the individual very defensive and/or protectiveMoon-Mercury opposite can be very sensitive to criticism and "unkind" words. Moon-Mars opposite can be combative in protecting themselves against a perceived threat. Moon-Pluto opposite can be suspicious of external motives and fear being being taken advantage of. Now if another brings this "opposition" relationship to you via synastry, you may react in manner that is consistent to how you deal with your own. And since not everybody deals with theirs in the exact same way. Results may vary When I meet a Moon in Cap or any planet in Capricorn, I am at first very receptive(My mercury is in Cap so the energy is familiar). But then I start to detract from them as I find them too "cold". Then drawn back to them again at some later stage as if suffering from some "amnesia" etc. I even had a Cap Sun opposing my Moon say to me,"when you eventually make up your mind about us. Let me know". Its really up/down with me. IP: Logged |

Interesting!I'm seeing someone who has natal Moon opposite Jupiter, and my Sun-Pluto conjunct his Jupiter... opposing his moon! I've found his personality to be really "big" and excitable, even though he's a Taurus Moon. He has Gem rising so he has that nervous energy going on. We party pretty hard. I have Pisces Moon and need physical touch so I don't think I've ever been described as cold. I wonder how his Taurus Moon feels about my Scorpio Sun. Anything conjunct Jupiter in synastry seems to magnify adventure and joy, right?? IP: Logged |

My longest relationship (8yrs) was with someone who had a moon opposition to my sun. In their natal, they have a mars/moon opposition.Another serious relationship was with someone who had a Pluto/Moon opposition and natally they had a pluto/mars/moon T-Square. My sun was opposing their moon. Another person whom I had true intimacy with was (again) natal T square with Mars/Pluto/Moon. They have a Mars/Moon opposition natally. My sun and jupiter was squaring his mars. You've asked a really good question. I'm curious how someone with a Sun/Moon opposition natally in Scorpio/Taurus would feel when they meet somebody who has pluto/venus/merc sitting on top of their sun (hence, opposing their moon)? I'm wondering how you experienced this? I also have moon in cappy and was dating a mars in cancer directly opposite my moon....it was uncomfortable. IP: Logged |
