The 11th House is about your standing with your peers and collaborators. Not the overall social status/image/"fame" of the 10th. In fact, the 11th is like anti-fame, in and of itself (many of the people you listed probably have strong 10th houses). But I feel like it can produce someone who can relate really well to literally anyone and be very popular in their social scene.

For example, just as many famous people love Beyonce as everyday people do. The 11th House person knows how to mingle well and is that person who seems to know and like everybody (and be civil to the rare person they don't like). How many celebrity feuds has Beyonce been apart of? Zero. She is too busy keeping good vibes and avoiding the messy drama. That kind of person will be very popular for those reasons, even though they actually don't try to be and may still see themselves as the weirdo who doesn't fit in.

Also, the 11th House Sun will be loved by their peers and acquaintances and collaborators because they are innovators and bring something original and exciting and rather weird and interesting to their various projects and group efforts in the world.

Yeah that makes sense - and i figure people would see them as friends even if they dont know them ,like random people would want to befriend them, wich works pretty darn well for celebs.

I was going to add aspects make or break an 11th Sun too. I have that but I'm more of a loner and I think it's because of Sun in Aries square Saturn. I have no Jupiter or heavy Uranus aspects to increase anything.

I dont agree that the Sun in 11th would always make someone social. But i do think that one with this placemnt tends to "come alive" in group settings.

The shy Joe native who is at the corner and rarely speaks to anyone , becomes the confident spokesperson for the group during a protest or march. Then people say "where the hell did that come from?"

Or the conservative looking Alice is the lead singer of a punk rock band and on stage, she comes "alive" and shows a personality that few who know her outside the work environment would ever see.

11th house shows the power of a group/cause or organization. Whilst the Sun there shows what power the individual taps into when in it.

Very interesting point. I've got Sun in 11th house and I can't relate to most things which are usually said about it, but what you said actually makes sense.

I have Sun in the 11th house and the description fits me. I hate being exposed alone in audience (I used to sing professionaly and the stage wasn't my best place), but I always felt better when I looked at my band mates and considered my self part of the group. I'm quite a lonely person and avoid being exposed but groups are my strength. So I think this is not the placement for making someone famous. Midheaven and Ascendant can be the places.

I have been the complete opposite! I also have Sun in 11H and have always feared groups and always felt stronger on my own. Perhaps this is my Leo Saturn and pSun in Leo talking though? I just feel really awkward in groups because I always end up, unwillingly, being the "leader".

That is an interesting insight, Aries23Degrees. I don't think every 11th House Sun will be a really extroverted social butterfly. It is common but the idea of coming alive in groups in the way you describe it is also true.

One thing about the 11th House that I have come to understand is that the energy there always operates in the opposite way that you expect. Its the house where you must have no expectations. So, if the Sun is your personality and how you express it, the 11th House Sun personality is very inconsistent. Just when you expect them to be one kind of person, they are the total opposite. I think even the people with this placement go against their own expectations of themselves a lot (if they have any) and end up shocking or surprising themselves on a regular basis with their self expression. Those examples you mentioned drive that point home and this doesn't always have to happen in a group context either.

Why isn't this talked about more often? I've noticed how all my life I'm opposite of something. Around a quiet person I'm comfortable and loud, but in a loud setting I'm more subdued. If someone is aggressive I withdraw but when they're not I'm aggressive. Speaking my language 89!

Thanks! Its actually just my own theory about the 11th House. I have never read or heard it anywhere else. But it makes complete sense and thinking this way about the 11th House helped me understand its function a lot more (which happened as I was trying to make sense of my current Saturn in the 11th House transit). It's as if it is always going right when you expect it or want it to go left.
