Well it's similar to me, I have 11H Mars ruling my MC, with Mars opposing Neptune.Sociability with a strong need to demonstrate compassion and talk about spiritual topics, yet always feeling that the full story cannot be told: the Neptune affliction just clouds over some parts of the personality. 11H sun ruling MC, squaring Neptune, will be great company and have the potential to use their charisma to further their career (and the company they work for), but might be held back by not believing enough in their own quality. No matter how qualified they are for a job, maybe they reserve some doubts that it's just their PR abilities that got them ahead, not the substance of their work. It could just weigh on them, even if there isn't a reason for it...because they are SO good with people, other aspects might seem less spectacular in comparison. It would be better not to draw those comparisons. IP: Logged |

Great feedback, thanks Faith for taking the time to write this.

I read it a little differently. The ruler of the 10th house cusp in 11th may suggest that the highest priority for the native, tends to be bound together with larger groups/friendships and associations. The friendships that one makes mean the world to the person or there could be a cause /organization that one joins that encompasses the core of their purpose and where they want to make social impact. With Neptune squaring the Sun in the 11th, it could suggest that there could be some unrealistic expectations the person has with regards to the friendships/organizations they become a part of. With Neptune, there could be disappointment suffered and some disillusionment that may come about in relation to the 11th house themes. Perhaps one changes their feelings about the organization and friends they are a part of or perhaps the organization/friendships "deceive" the native in some way. With the Sun ruling the 10th and in the 11th, much of the "wipe out" that can happen with Neptune can end up having you question not only your own purpose of living(MC) but who you are at your very core(Sun). An example of this is if you join a church and within this establishment, you find your purpose(Mc). All the people around you know you as a devout member of the church(Sun) and much of your personality is groomed within this establishment. But now say you discover the church you serve in has some under the carpet, seedy dealing with drug lords and child pornography(I know I know, I am reaching. But just stay with me on this as this is the Neptune square at work) So now you are in an identity crises (Neptune-Sun square) because the church that you thought and believed was so "holier than thou" turns out to be not so clean. Furthermore, you now question whether the purpose(Mc) that you have always associated with being a part of the establishment, is worth continuing with? That is Sun in 11th ruling the 10th square Neptune loose example.

Wow you really got me thinking A and looking at it differently. I actually did the church thing for a long time, youth group weekly, retreats, mass every Sunday but I renounced it in my early 20s and I was very disillusioned by it. Later in my 20s I did the activism thing big time and liked it for a while but then it had to end and the abrupt ending disillusioned me and I went from been into politics and activism to leave me out of it, I don't care..Activism was my career per say for a while there.. Since then I became a therapist finally and I guess that is the new outlet for that energy, being a part of a mental health organization, that is what gives me purpose now. IP: Logged |

I feel you. As a Sun/Neptune conjunct myself, i often experience what you would call "wipe outs" and disillusionment. There is always inevitably a feeling of "but this is not feeling the way i thought it would". And i must add that much of my confused state has been in and around my career path. What is your new definition of "purpose"? And has it made things a little clearer for you? IP: Logged | |
