Do you mean if you have Saturn in the 4th house? I didn't know the planets made transits to the houses. I don't think Saturn has ever left my 4th house.

How was this transit for you? I am in the middle of it and I have some issues with my home situation. I want to move out but there are unexpected obstacles and the situation is quite slow to develop. But I am also having tr Neptune square Moon and Pluto leaving my 4th house for good so maybe there are more factors than just Saturn...

I have heard that at the end of Saturn in 4th house transit the home situation tends to stabilize and you start building solid foundation...

I've had this transit for what seems like forever.. It went into my 5th in March and moved back into my 4th in May (right when I had to move out of my dorm). This is my story:

My mom initially said she would support me with finding a place, so I was excited at first. However, two weeks before I had to move (also my finals period), she told me there was absolutely no money. So that was difficult because I didn't even have a job. I found a cheap temp situation for a month thanks to a friend, but was still jobless and still had to find my own place by the end of the month.

Finally, I started working and found a place with my best friend. We were splitting the room/rent. But we were naive and moved into an illegal loft that was stealing peoples' money. It was falling apart, there was a live-in rat, and an unsafe entrance that was always kept wide open even though it led to the alley way, etc. I got followed home and harassed several times.

My friend decides that she hates living there and went back home out of state, leaving me to cover her half of the rent unexpectedly.

BUT finally I found a cheaper and awesome place that I am now in, and I love it. I believe this was after the Saturn retrograde. So basically, I think it's okay, but as always with Saturn (or in general), you should make sure you know what you're doing. I moved 3 times. I still owe people money. Lol

It sucks mostly. The beginning was good/ok. Then this last year and a half it started to wear me down. I also had Mars transiting the 4th House until last month. So imagine feeling lonely, stuck and afraid (Saturn in the 4th House transit) with a lot of tension/fighting in my home (Mars in the 4th House transit). This transit is HORRIBLE. I don't want to be negative or discouraging but I am being honest. All I can say is HANG IN THERE.

I got a couple of months left for this transit, so it's not over and I don't think Saturn is done with me yet honestly.

Random but I have Pluto in the 4th House natally; so I can relate.

When did Saturn transit your start? How are you feeling now? I hope I can be of assistance.

THIS IS HELLA LONG BUT HERE IS SOME INFO

The transit of Saturn to the fourth house marks a time of considerable inner “re-working”. In terms of outward signs of achievement, this transit may be the most unremarkable of all the Saturn transits. However, near the end of the transit, and certainly later than that, you will recognize this stage as a critical one in which you made some life-changing personal and psychological advances and developments. During this stage, you are working on solidifying your identity, exploring your roots (where you came from), so that when Saturn begins its transit through the fifth house, you will be ready to differentiate yourself from others and embark on some important work on your ego. For now, however, you will face issues surrounding your attachments to the past. Sometimes this manifests as literal re-organization of your home. Moving house is not associated with this transit as it would if, for example, Uranus was the transiting planet. If moves are made, you might encounter some resistance in yourself. This is not a time when you feel particularly brave in the outer world. However, reorganization in your home, and more importantly, in your soul, embodies the true nature of this transit. Many will go through a major “spring cleaning” inside. Limitations that came from early family conditioning will be brought to the fore. At first, there may be some frustration with your life to date, and how you have limited your opportunities because of early conditioning. A feeling of being alone and unsupported in life may dominate the early stages of this transit. Sometimes, delays and slowdowns are experienced in the areas of health, mobility, and career. As Saturn moves closer to the fifth house, a feeling of some kind of mastery will empower you. https://cafeastrology.com/saturntransitinghouses.html

Transit Saturn in the 4th House
When transit Saturn is in your 4th house, you work on strengthening your home base, your family, and your inner foundation. You could clean up your home, remodel, or move, though none of those things will likely go smoothly and some blocks/delays occur. You can focus on issues with your family and try to work through them to strengthen the ties you have with them. You may decide to cut ties with a family member, recognizing that the relationship can’t be saved. You can take on more responsibility with your family, trying to help them as best as you can. You may feel like you’re too restricted in your life as this transit begins, and have to deal with whatever issues are causing that restriction. This is a good time to tackle your inner foundation and try to make it stronger, more solid, and something durable that will sustain you for some time. http://www.thedarkpixieastrology.com/transit-saturn.html

Saturn transits the 4th House
When Saturn transits the 4th house you may find yourself drawn back into childhood experiences to relearn any lessons you missed. Saturn is often called the teacher and while it moves through the 4th House it raps its cane over your knuckles and tells you to sit up. Old neural pathways, emotional patterns born of childhood traumas, may have to be rewired with disciplined practice to create new healthier habits. During this transit you might also feel frustrated or trapped in your living situation, or in your relationship with your mother. http://www.insightastrology.net/current-transits/saturn-transits-the-houses/

SATURN TRANSITING YOUR 4TH HOUSE (approx. 2.5 years duration)
This is a period of private achievements during which you make a greater effort to establish your home in the community. If your professional and social life has kept you in the public eye, then you may initially be prone to bouts of loneliness, depression, and despondency as your lifestyle goes into a period of relative obscurity. Less of your time belongs to you and you must give up part of your freedom in cooperating with others in order to protect your interests and investments. What you've worked for can now take material significance in land, property, and a home that you can call your own. Your family commitments grow and so does your need to act in a supportive role towards family members. If you are inclined to start up a business for yourself, then you will begin to make progress in this direction. If you are looking for a bargain home to purchase, be prepared to devote time and work to making improvements.

Would this information apply to someone who has Saturn in the 4th house natally going through their Saturn Return?

Yeah, and I've been feeling / releasing a lot of family baggage pretty hard. I can't wait for it to move into my 5th again, it's only 1 degree away from the cusp.

Honestly though, I think it might have even been the best time to move out, at least for me. The whole transitioning into adulthood thing seems to have taken effect. It was like ripping off a band-aid, albeit a huge bandaid that got stuck in multiple places along the way. But I'm glad to say, I'm now pretty much self-sufficient.

@ChildofVenus: Probably, but I would assume that you're more used to these problems/challenges and it will relate to you on a core level since you've dealt with them longer/all your life. I would say you gotta face your challenges more fiercely and head on.

Yea, I agree with what you are saying. I wish I would've caught onto the transit earlier so I could've reaped these lessons sooner. I never got into transits until REALLY recently and once I discovered I had this transit, I am a reluctant believer.

How was it when it was in your 5th House? How long was it there for?

Thanks a lot for sharing your story!
This transit has been quite difficult for me so far, especially on the home front, but Saturn has made several stressful transits while in the 4th house (opposed my Moon, squared ASC and squared Sun). It will soon conjunct my Neptune.

Saturn crossed my IC in November last year. I made a decision to move back to my home country after several years of living abroad (with a short interruption).
When I came back I decided to live with my parents until I would find a job and then would move out to my own flat. But I only found a job after 5 months and what’s more - the job, although super interesting, doesn’t pay well… So I’m stuck, waiting now for my contract to be prolonged and for my salary to increase, still living with my parents…

I was supposed to rent a friend’s apartment “part-time” really cheap but when everything was ready the friend suddenly changed her mind…
I hope I will be ready to rent something until the end of this year. I have some savings and plan to actually buy an apartment next year but my job situation must be more stable for that, I don’t want to take a risk…

Beside that, I don’t get along with my father and living with my family is tiring. I think Mars transiting the 4th house might be to blame for that as well…I was living alone when I was abroad, and used to be quite independent.

I also have the impression that I don’t belong anywhere, I don’t identify with the place I lived in before but I don’t fully identify with my home country either… I really hope that at the end of this transit I will have some sense of belonging.

Please don’t quote

Thank you for sharing your story too!

It's funny because when my Saturn transit first started I was living abroad too and then went back home.

I don't know what to tell you except, hang in there and don't give up. I would say as soon as your job is more financially stable, GET OUT AND DON'T LOOK BACK.

Till then treat your parents good/don't take them for granted. Even if they make you mad.

Also don't give up and trust the struggle.

I think you will have a sense of belonging.

So I should stop letting my parents control me about everything I want to do? That's what I'm wondering.

Transiting Saturn to the 4th I believe is fairly common to move or change homes/residence. Sometimes first time buying property and can also place an emphases on family/parents.

Go with what you feel is right, nothing is wasted, everything happens for a reason.

Can you tell me if I have a weak sun? Someone told me I did but I don't understand what that means. This is what the person said.

(

career will be related in some way to partnership. Career would be such that he / she will have to give a lot of time to it and input will not be equal to output.

Wow what a coincidence! I think this transit is very much related to reconsidering one’s foundations, roots, the past...

Pluto is now just leaving my natal 4th house and I have been dealing with these issues for the last 20 years… changing locations, moving through cities and countries, going back to places and people to discover I have nothing to come back to, etc. … Saturn is forcing me to reconsider this all, I hope it will finally bring something constructive and more stable when it leaves the house.

@ChildofVenus:

First off there is no such thing as a weak sun. Whoever told you that is a fool. You gotta find a way to rock your chart and get over the hang ups you have over your astrological chart.

Astrology is supposed to guide you, not tell you want to do or control you. Be positive and focus on what you can do.

By the way your chart is lovely. I have mercury in Aries, a Venus in Pisces and a Leo ascendant too. So technically we are twins. Make your natal chart work around you.
