I'm reminded by Ami Anne saying that a man with Moon square Mars can make him dislike women.

What about women with moon square mars? Or what about any moon/mars aspect whatever the gender?

I have noticed that even moon trine mars can make a person have disdain for the opposite sex, case in point: Donald Trump.

Im sure some of you know his hatred towards women.

I also have moon trine mars and when I was younger, i'll admit I didn't like women. Too much rejection made me that way. I have healthy relationships with women now though (thank god.)

I don`t know if that is true. But i find men with moon-mars hard aspects off-putting and not very attractive, esp those with the square and opposition. In the men i have dealt with that do have these aspects i just don`t like the immature arrogant defensive tendencies i have seen from them. And often they will start up and cause arguments and then blame others for the chaos they started, lol. Their just too defensive and childish for me. My brother got the opposition and i try to stay away from him and don`t like to be around him for long periods at a time. He can easily misunderstand others and can be so hot headed.

I am very Venusian though probably why i have little to no liking for Marsian types.

I could see that being a possibility.

ETA: I've met three people (that I remember anyway) with Moon / Mars.

First person had Moon square Mars and she was a Scorpio sun - DID NOT get along with women. She's bossy, stiff, and selfish whereas I think the average woman expects flexibility, and nurturing.

Second person had Moon sextile Mars and got along just fine with whoever but she was a Gemini Sun with different Moon / Mars.

Third was an Aries Sun with Moon in Sag opp. Mars in Gemini and he treated women..okay. When he was mad it was no holds barred, no "Oh she's a woman so I can't call her a ***** ." He attracts women to him EASILY, but I wouldn't say he loves / respects all women. He's pretty traditional and controlling on the inside. ... I'm biased though, obviously not a fan lol.

A woman i know has the opposition and she doesn`t dislike men but she has certainly had issues with them. Actually in her case the opposite sex has disliked her more and not the other way around. Some find her too aggressive and tomboyish for their liking.

When she was a kid though she loved being cruel towards guys and make them angry and then have them chase her. Lol, when i think about it she actually still sometimes likes to do that haha.

I have this aspect and I wouldn't say that it makes one necessarily hateful of the opposite sex.

The square depicts where one perceives an external opposition. But this is more about the internal feelings of the person than to do with anything outside.

So a Moon/Mars square person perceives there is going to be some sort of ridicule, opposition or challenge (Mars square) from the outside when he expresses his feminine nature(Moon)

It could be that this is a psychological imprint;

The Mother was a single parent and had to "toughen" up

There was a parental authority that was aggressive and domineering in the household and made it difficult for them to relax.

The native grew up with aggressive siblings or had their feelings ignored

The early environment "praised" the more masculine qualities i.e strength, winning and performance in sports rather than intuition, feelings, dramatic talent and emotional intelligence etc.

Whatever the background is, what usually happens is that the person can get immediately defensive with others even in the slightest gesture of "opposition" to their expression because within them, they still feel that more sensitive part of their nature stifled.

Many seek independence from the early environment and some may be backwards i.e they have learned to associate so much with Mars, that when someone close to them displays Moon characteristic they can be violent and confrontational with that person.

Of course what they do not realize is that they are re-enacting the treatment/abuse they observed/experienced when they/others displayed those characteristics etc.

Men with this position often tell their boys to "toughen up" and don't tolerate them showing "weakness". They usually prefer having boys.

With their girl children, they could be distant and feel awkward-often seeing them as "less" than their male children.

And if there are no male children, it is likely that one/all the girl children will be a more "boyish" in nature as an attempt to get closer to Dad.

Women with this position learn quickly how threatening(Mars the external environment is to women. So they learn independence from it or toughen up. Some may be drawn to "macho men" whom will "protect" them

In many there could be an interest in martial arts,body-building,extreme sports , bdsm(in extreme cases) and thrill seeking.

This is an attempt to "toughen" the inside. They eventually want to be fearless to express themselves and be able to deal with any opposition that gets in the way of that expression effectively.

This aggression that people see is from that. Their moon nature often perceives any form of "counsel" as trying to stifle them. And they rebel to that by displaying a temper or getting into arguments/fights.

Well that's just what Ami says.

Have you ever seen another site saying that? If so, please link it.

Here's cafeastrology:

quote:
Moon square or opposition Mars

These people can be precocious, animated, and passionate. They seek emotional excitement in their lives. Although they often project a brave and tough image, their skin isn’t as thick as they’d have you believe. They tend to put up defenses due to their emotionally vulnerable and excitable disposition. Unrest is characteristic, as they are bored by routine and become easily frustrated when life is “too easy”. There’s a buzz of energy surrounding them, and they tend to meet with many conflicts in their lives. With the opposition, the conflict tends to be lived through relationships. The passions are quite raw, especially in youth.

If they can channel their excitable energy into sports or some other competitive field, all the better. Although they can be amiable and interesting people, others always seem to sense their boundaries. Something is bound to get them worked up, and it’s not always clear what that something will be. Their bluntness can be both appreciated and considered offensive, depending on their audience. They are eager to make a personal impact on those around them. Some of them are too eager in this sense, and they come across as self-absorbed and difficult to stomach. Patience is definitely not their strong point! Their responses are quick, and they are passionate people who are usually quite courageous although their energy is sporadic and sometimes wasted.

Some Famous People with the Moon in Hard Aspect to Mars: Squares – Nicolas Cage, Walt Disney, Tina Turner, Vincent Van Gogh, Louisa May Alcott, Marlon Brando, Tom Brokaw, Charles Bronson, Dwight Yoakam; Oppositions – Arnold Palmer, Joan Baez, Boris Becker, Sheena Easton, James Caan, Stacy Keach, Kiefer Sutherland, Nat King Cole, Al Pacino.

I have four older brothers, I'm five years younger than my next-oldest brother, so I was much smaller than them. I don't think they were malicious (usually not) but sometimes they didn't know their own strength and I got hurt. But I wasn't allowed to say anything, there was a no tattling rule in the house. I think I resented my mother for the way she handled it, more than I resented my brothers.

But having four brothers could also be great.

I get along fine with men, no hang-ups. Maybe because I have good relationships with all the men in my family.

Thank you DopGang

I could talk about this a lot....

Aries 23 Degrees, you have me walking down memory lane. All the tomboy stuff is true, but it wasn't my choice, really. My hair was super thick and my mother decided to have it cut very short so we didn't have to deal with combing it (I cried when they combed my hair...) Then there wasn't money for new clothes, so I wore my brothers' hand-me-downs. I looked like a boy and was assumed to be a boy, many years of my childhood.

I was jealous of girls who could actually be girls, but just mildly. It's not like I sat there seething about it. I knew there was no point wasting energy on things I couldn't change. I thought of myself as more like a boy, and I was competitive and sometimes aggressive, mainly verbally aggressive (Gemini Mars.) This was about until age 12, when I got closer and closer to a few Pisces friends, and sort of apprenticed my moon to their Pisces energy.

Usually I think my moon dominates and inhibits Mars, more than Mars aggravates the moon. I think my moon sets the tone more because it's the apex of the t-square (moon-Mars-Neptune.)

For the most part when I think of this square, I'm thinking of the internal tension generated by two opposing desires:

11H Gemini Mars wants to talk, and be public
8H Pisces moon is more reclusive

or

- Gemini Mars wants to growl something
- Pisces moon says "breathhhhheeeee, wait, think first"

There is such a thing as being too verbally constrained, however, and some of the problems I have in life stem from my refusal to talk, my refusal to confront. Which is great for getting along with people, superficially at least....becomes awkward as time goes on if I'm mute on the harder subjects. Sometimes I can delay too long in revealing things and then people are startled because there was no hint of it before. I can be really extremely deceptive that way, not that I try, but I am so sociable and seem so average and plain, one wouldn't guess the strange details of my life (or some of my more outrageous philosophies, astrology included). Sometimes I think people don't even believe me about certain things...like they can't wrap their head around the idea of me being anything other than run-of-the-mill.

Yeah this was long, self-therapy going on here. Might delete!

I think my Moon and Mars being in masculine signs might affect the aspect's expression. Although I have the square my Moon is just in late Gemini and my Mars is only 7 minutes into Aries. Aries and Gemini are actually sextile, which could affect how much I experience the square between them.

I value both masculine and feminine energy equally. It just took time to become comfortable with my feminine side.

In 5th grade another girl told me that one of my favorite anime series was for boys and that I shouldn't like it. This probably played a role in my dislike of feminine activities in general. My classmates throughout middle school tried to get me into make-up and to wear more colors than black. They criticized the things I believed in and enjoyed so I found myself conflicted when it came to my own femininity. Over time as I matured I realized that hating on feminine qualities is harmful to the women that are that way by nature and I began to embrace my feminine side. You still can't get me to wear pink though.

Loved the responses here. But i think that i may have been biased and told this aspect from a male point of view.

I am really quite happy to find contradictions from a female perspective.

I think it is WOMEN, irrespective of the gender of the native, Gemini.

I'm sure some do, and some don't, right?

For those that do, perhaps hate is a strong word for a lot of cases. More like a "conflicted and frustrating" attitude/experience/tendency maybe?

From what I've seen, I've come across more men with Venus Square Moon natally that had a disposition to "hate" women. By "hate", I mean a natural distrust or standoffishness that can seem irrational to the outside. And of course, some just straight up hating them.

Just my two cents...

Scorpio I dated had moon square mars. He would often say "all women are sl*ts". One time that Selena Gomez song came on the radio when driving its called "Cant keep my hands to myself" and he was like: "What a little wh*re!"
I laughed because it was such a weird and random comment.
It stopped being funny when I had a convo with him about it and realized he was being serious...
He also accused me of cheating on him a lot...

Aren't half of scorp personal placements men are like that?

Although I do think moon-mars men can be overly macho...

Moon conjunct Mars in Gemini, here.

I personally get along better with men than women.

Faith's description of Gemini Mars wanting to growl is accurate for me as well (especially when I'm tired or irritated), although I don't have a Pisces Moon to calm it down a little. So you'll usually hear everything that my Gemini Moon and Mars thinks you should hear, plus some. If I'm careful enough to listen to my Virgo stellium, then it'll be phrased nicely in a package of helpful advice. It makes me come off as bossy, sarcastic, and a general pain in the you know what, sometimes.

Men typically handle my approach better than women. Women sometimes see me as a threat or dominating. I've tried to calm down my approach, since I've become more aware of the effect it has when communicating with them, but it's usually pretty apparent that I'm not as meek or mild as I first appear to be.

No quoting please.
