On the soul level theory, everything is not reliant on the physical. On the soul level, a special thing happening on the earth is felt as a divine marker in your soul. Such as the sun returning to the exact spot it was in the sky as your birth. On a soul level your soul chooses a meaningful chart for this life time. On a soul level, astrology is working in a wondrous way that ignores most phsyical limitations.
And then there is physical.
Physical means that things are happening for more tangible reasons.
Physical astrology is more along the lines that the time you are born, your brain begins hardwiring itself to the cosmos. It is related to the physical. It's something that is out of your control. And the rate at which your brain tunes into other parts of itself that is your progressed chart.
So those are two options you can believe in.
Only one can logically work, since they both operate at completely different levels and suggest contradictory things to the other.
