It's the only aspect the Sun makes?

No.

But you knew my answer before.

Though I would check if they are parallel or contraparallel or if a planet is in 4th harmonic aspect to the Sun/Pluto-mp.

Also if Sun is before Pluto (degreewise) then it would have become exact eventually in progressions (around 10 years of age), and something very formative might have happened around that time, that makes the native still resonate with Sun-Pluto possibly.

Thank you, Ceri! It is actually 9 deg 28 lol, I checked now. There are two parallels between Sun and Uranus and Neptune. No 4th harmonic aspect.

Well, Pluto is about to conjunct the natal Sun, no idea what happened at age 10. I will ask.

read the aspect description and see if you relate to it. It's not tight, and you already know that.

Guys, let's settle this because I don't get it.

Are parallels/contra-parrallels just as potent as conjunctions and oppositions respectively?

Hope Kannon is not within earshot of this. But I really have some trouble really understanding them

It's not my aspect, I asked about someone else.

@Aries23Degrees,

They're potent. I myself have a Sun-Pluto parallel and I can be quite Plutonian. Probably not the same as a person with the conjunction, but I can get uncomfortably intense.

Not to digress or anything Dancing Maenad, but how "intense" is the difference between a person with the conjunction as compared to the person with the parallel aspect.

I would imagine its a subjective experience . Not so? One that cannot to externally "measured" or "compared" right?

Is it maybe a possibility that your "intensity" can be attributed to another natal aspect you have?

Yes, I have no way of knowing how a person with the conjunction feels, because I don't have it. So it's all highly subjective.

There are several other placements/aspects that could cause intensity, however I relate to the description of this aspect.

Oh ok, I see.

Well,in any event when it comes to your question. The 10 Degree orb is considered "wide" by many.

But I also think this depends on subjective opinion and experience.

Yes, I guess I will have to ask if it fits him or not.

I personally think I can feel a 10-deg orb Mercury-Saturn opposition in my natal, but it's tricky because Saturn already opposes my 3rd house ruler, within a reasonable orb. :/ Yet I think I have an extra dose of restraint when it comes to communication.

Which is the manifestation of Saturn in challenging aspect to 3rd house ruler.

Parallels/ contraparallels seem potent to me, how much I am still investigating for myself.
Anyway for example Charles Jayne also considered them as major aspects, right on with the conjunction, opposition and square, and stronger than the sextile or trine for example.

For myself well I have Moon parallel Uranus and Juno and contraparallel Pluto, andt hat pretty much sums up my contradictory Moon.

However Moon is also in Aquarius with dispositor in Scorpio.

So what is the reason really? Both? Just one? Accumulative effect? Who really knows?

I also have Mercury parallel Venus, both oob, and I thnk it fits.

How the parallel/ contraparallel differ in meaning from the conjunction or opposition I don`t quite know.

I think Paul F. Newman wrote about those, too, saying at least the contraparallels were not as sharply contrasting as the opposition due to their astronomical calculation or something.

No. Check the declinations, and look for minor aspects, and above all don't fall into the 'unaspected planet' pit of something's wrong in my chart.

I think so. He has that intense side. But he also has Pluto sq Mercury and Venus. I can't say for sure.
