Hi all, I have an annual transit report from Cafe Astrology and since Oct. 9, I have this:October 9, 2016 - Beyond Nov 16 2016, Progressed Sun/Moon is Conjunct your Natal Saturn A serious nature. Establishing self-reliance and self-hood. Coming to grips with hard realities. Making personal sacrifices and compromises. Separative influences. Can someone explain this like you're talking with a 5 years old? Should I be worried? Thanks. UPDATE: After checking my progressed chart in Astro.com, I have Sun/Moon square natal Saturn, although I couldn't change the reference place, I'm like 62 miles (100km) from my birth place.

You don't want to change your reference place for progressions. Your birth location is your reference location for your progressions -- always for your entire life. No, you should not be worried. Astrological transit and progressions like these happen all the time and they pass. And astrologers disagree often on the timing and duration of such progressions. For prog Moon, 2 week max (15 minutes arc for the 1/2 degree width of its disc, applying and separating). For prog Sun, 3 months max. So you see, the two overlap at most for a couple weeks. I personally recommend laypersons track only transits and let an advanced student or professional summarize progressions for you when they are relevant, say for big decisions or plans, etc. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Thanks Kannon, I though the progression was based on current location like the solar return.I wonder why the report says I have a conjunction when is a square, especially since my Sun/Moon are in opposition, they can't conjunct the same planet at the same time. Thanks again for your time. IP: Logged |

Yes, I agree.I only pay attention to the progressed chart(especially Moon) when it is also acting in "cahoots" with natal as well as transiting outer planets. For instance next year April 2017, progressed Moon will be in Libra 15 Degrees; Natal Mars in Libra 18 Natal Moon in Cancer 18 Natal Mercury in Cap 16 Tran Pluto Cap 19 Tran Jupiter Lib retrograde 19-15 degrees Tran Uranus in Aries 23-25 Degrees As you can see,the possibility for a lot of action during that time is high. And this is not even discounting Dec,Jan,Feb and March- when Jupiter,Uranus and Pluto are even closer to each other and touching by natal planets that much more intimately.
