Erratic, intense, organic, intuitive, slowBinge-learning sometimes and won't put the book down, then leave it alone for five years, then get into it a little bit each day for three weeks, then forget half and re-learn the same material from a different angle. Come to a different foundational conclusion and re-build or drop the matter entirely, deeming it a "waste of time." LOL Oh and serendipity plays a large part. 6H Aqua Mercury in a t-square with Uranus and Saturn Mercury septile Neptune Mercury sextile Venus Mercury widely trine 3H Pluto IP: Logged |

Mercury in Aries Aspects are mostly minor or just wideI tend to learn best by doing more than just sitting down and reading from a textbook. If I can't do anything with the information and apply it in some way then it's unlikely to be learned and then any tests on the information I cannot make use of will most likely reflect my inability to retain that information. Of course, this isn't always true. I remember a great amount of useless information. It's just that I'm more likely to remember information I've frequently encountered and used. Edit: I'm bad at memorizing information just for memorizing it. If I'm interested in a subject, however, you can't pull me away from it until I'm done using it. IP: Logged |

VKA: Visual consciously; Kinesthetic subconsciously; Auditorially unconsciously. This follows the mental processing styles as outlined in the books How Your Child Is Smart and The Open Mind by Dr. Dawna Markova. Less categorically, I'd describe it as first needing to see it, to get a visual picture, which sometimes means I look away when listening to you so I can create an abstract visual image. Then, I prefer to do something[b/], to get a feel for how it works. Then, later I may process auditorially for finer tuned explanation or as internal self talk to piece somethings together. Starting with auditory (listening) has a tendency to put me to sleep if no visual aids accompany it or if no hands-on happens. My natal Mercury (9th house) 22TAU22 applied conjunct Venus 28TAU49, trined Pluto 25VIR04; at 20N56 Mercury was parallel Mars [21N55]. Asc 17VIR14 applied trine Mercury. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification [b]♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Learning style: oral.. through writing and using the voice. If I have to memorise something, I read it to myself. I'm extremely visual, I don't have perfect photographic memory, but I to a certain extent can remember quit a bit when I can see, visualize, and fully envision the structure or overall grasp of whatever I need to learn. Like when I meet people, if I happen to see their charts I'll remember it after seeing it once, it's how I remember people haha, and I can also see/plot a chart in my head. Hands on experience, I like listening to people also, their interpretations, and reading. I learn by doing and then follow that up with the theoretical background. I have to have both.I find it hard to learn something that cannot be demonstrated practically. But I also struggle to learn practically if I don't get the "over-arching" point of it all(theory). I learned to drive by getting in the car and then coming to understand the theoretical book of driving after doing it for a while. IP: Logged |

I don't think I have one now - I'm too scattered. Although I fit Faith's description in a way. When I was younger, I dove into things that I found interesting/fun. When it came to school work, I would read whatever I had to, and when I got home, I would get the easy stuff out of the way first. There were times when I completely forgot about something until the night before it was due, but that was when I was really depressed. When I need to focus on something, I get in the bath, or take it outside (or sit in the passenger seat of the van, when I go to work with dad). Like Lerena, I also love "hands on" learning. It's so frustrating to read about something, and then not be able to DO it. Mercury in Aries, 6th house. Conjunct Ceres, Chiron, Sun. Trine MC. Square Saturn (widely). IP: Logged |

Leo Mercury in 2nd house. - Conj. Sun. - Trine MC - Saturn. - Opposite Moon. - Sq. PlutoI LOVE to learn new things related to my interests, for personal or business reasons. I tend to get obsessed with a topic and learn all I can about it in a short span of time, next I jump to another topic and so on. I learn fast and without difficulty, I'm a visual person which is great in my field (web design). My mind is sharp and usually is some steps ahead than the rest of my body. I find difficult to shut down my thoughts when I'm working on something I'm very passionate about, I can't sleep and if I do I dream about it.

Cancer Mercury in the 4th.Mercury trines Pisces Moon and Scorpio Pluto, and opposes Capricorn Uranus and Neptune. I learn best visually, but now that I'm older I also learn pretty well aurally. I was never good at learning by just reading through textbooks unless it was something I took real interest in. I am horrible at rote memorization and am better at understanding the main ideas surrounding a topic first. Once I do find a topic that interests me, I tend to delve right into it. Astrology was one of my earliest subjects I became interested in at a young age. IP: Logged |

hmmm... I guess you can say I'm a very Mercurial Gemini Mercury in 5th house. Mercury Conjunct Sun, 5th house Mercury Conjunct Mars, 6th House Mercury trine Jupiter, 2nd house Mercury trine Pluto, 9th house Logical, observant, practical, need to see the entire picture and I learn new things everyday. I like to observe things and then test it. Me and My Mercury in Aquarious friend like to sit in front of Costco and play the match what the person buys game. Sometimes you can really tell what kind of lifestyle people live based on what products they consume. I tend to get bored around people who are too slow to explain the obvious, not a fan of people and places that aren't charismatic or inspiring. Thats why I never liked my parents, there simple Cancers that just want to sit by the fire and are okay with a minimally skilled or intellectual job. There lucky they were at the right place at the right time, otherwise with there mentality they whould be working at McDonalds. ==================================== Gemini Sun, Capricorn Rising Aries Moon Gemini Mercury Venus Taurus Mars Cancer IP: Logged |

to learn something, I need to understand it, once I understood it, it stored like a folder in a very organised office. the subject may be dormant, but if I need to get the information back I will have it, although sometimes approximatively, when it was a long time ago or when the subject isn't a center of interest so I am not ENTIRELY focused when I read it. basically by reading in an "active understanding" frame of mind.my mercury is in pisces conjunct the south node and trine the moon IP: Logged |

Mercury in Virgo conjunct mars. Other aspects as well but I don't know how relevant they are. 12th houseNot to brag but actually I feel like I'm diverse in my capacity to learn. The two most important things are this. It needs to have purpose. It can be in formal education or learning something in order to better my life. A necessity in other words or a goal. It needs some significant importance. If not that then it needs to capture my interest. Like a cat that has that certain toy that for whatever reason gets him to play every time while it ignores the other toys. I need to have a strong interest. That being the case, it needs to be somewhat brief, typically. My attention span can be short. Teach me something and make it quick. So typically, I'm one of those people who knows all sorts or random tidbits. IP: Logged |

I read things first and then I try to associate it with other things that I've previously learned so I wouldn't forget. When there's something I need to memorize, I write it down first, and then I read/talk to myself. If there's no more time to write, then I read the info to myself over and over. 12H Sag mercury conjunct ascendant square moon and jupiter IP: Logged |

Before even thinking there'll be something the topic reminds me of but I'll have no thoughts on why ((uranus Inconj merc maybe)make tangents off the area of study based on associations. anything that reminds me of the area but remotely do with it. Parallel thinking. Metaphors. (Mercury trine Neptune) I love this outer ring. Go back to the actual area and take it apart. Read everything about each part. It's like cataloging, hunting. It's a really obsessive bit. (Mercury opp Pluto) it gets really messy as it's very destructive. When that process starts feeding off itself and getting ridiculous and confusing and Mercury/Saturn wants a neat line I like to go back to that outer ring and let impressions come organically. Then it normally turns out something in the first image has been tunnelled through from some detail Mercury/Pluto got obsessed with, staked through the associations like a kebab People with good merc/Uranus aspects must just gather things amazingly well as the inconjunct initial impression I get is normally closer to knowing than any of the aspects that occur in between. The rest is just understanding why. I dont know what Mercury trine Mars contributes to the process as I don't understand that aspect, other than energy. Mercury in Aries, 5th I'm thinking of diagnostic / dialectic / creative type of learning here but the dance between Mercury and Neptune/Pluto/Saturn still happens the same amount. IP: Logged |
