I got a silly question...Are they all the same? I mean, two people with the same astrological combination, for example, if it happens that you meet two different people who were born on the same day and have the same rising sing, would it mean that they have a very similar personality?
I have this question 'cause my ex bf was a libra/virgo asc and I know someone who has the same combination -recently discovered- and I don't get along with him, not even a little bit, we just can't stand each other, so how is that? IP: Logged |

even so many other things might throw off compatibility, chemical dispositions youre exposed to from inside your motheror maybe astrology is like a complex chemical reaction, if you change one little thing about the chart, you get a completely different result. Karma left over from your last relationship.Also, the progressions you had when you met and dated your boyfriend are different from those you have now. Hence why you're aren't close to either men at this time. IP: Logged |

Oh yeah, but I know the second man since a long time ago, like 7 years or maybe more, and we can't stand each other since then. I just recently discover, -literally today- that he has the same astrological mix (they share birthddays, sun and rising sign) like my ex bf, and I don't dislike my ex not even a bit lol So yeah probably it goes further than astrology... ... But now I'm starting to think that it could be I didn't know my ex that well and If we had more time...maybe he could just turn out being like the man I can't stand.. i heard something before that if you are "chasing potential" with someone who you think might be your soul mate, that isnt a good sign. because what you see when you meet your soul mate, is the full finished package. and if you are expecting things will just ease off and get better, not be so nervous and stuff, that it never willIP: Logged |

The natal chart is like the cards you get dealt at birth, but life plays those cards for you. That's not just family but also locale (with all the synastry), culture, etc. As a super simple example, someone whose chart shows a rebel is going to manifest differently based on what nation, religion, etc, they were raised in, and meeting another rebel from a different nation, religion, and all that could make them worst enemies rather than kindred spirits.Transits also matter, and so do circumstances and background. As another super simple example, a Cancer who remembers every hurt and was harmed in a toxic Christian church is likely to avoid or even to be hostile to anyone who identifies as a Christian, and thus not get along (when they're automatically enemies in his mind), yet if that same person had instead found safety and security there who helped him against a cold world then that same person could be inclined to be warm, friendly, and supportive of those identifying as Christian. As for myself, I have wondered what I'd have been like had I been raised in different nations that I learned a lot about. I believe we'd be quite different (though in my case there's enough curiosity that friendship might be possible). But then if my 18-year-old self met my 28-year-old self, they would spend a lot of time arguing and would look and act differently from one another, and that's with the same upbringing and all that! Similar, yes, but not same. Astrological influences are not the only ones. The parents will be different. The locations of birth and upbringing -- assuming those are different can, as soren mentioned, be quite different.Astrology is much more than signs. I will keepbeating that drum until I die. If you don't get along with or like someone, that is okay. We cannot be compatible with everyone or most people. But don't turn that back upon astrology generally with black-n-white blankets of interpretation. Astrology as a jump-to-conclusions prejudicial device is also quite useless, even harmful. ------------------

The rest of the chart, the aspect, the house overlays etc. all form the bigger picture. I met someone with exact planetary placement as I have. But I can't be sure about the Asc. Are we the best of friends? No. Why? When we have close to exact charts? Well,I think it really could be the house overlays,the Asc, the ruler etc.

It's like how identical twins are different too! They both have the same blueprint that makes them who they are but individually, they can each learn and experience different things, and that in turn, would shape the twins into different person. Astrology is the quality we have, the tools we can use, and the potential we can reach but at the end, it all depends on how we want to express and live our lives. IP: Logged |
