Just curious, does the house your natal Jupiter is in really represent luck and prosperity in your life??I have Jupiter rx in 2nd house and I can tell you I'm not rich by any means.. This year I moved to a new city/state in hopes of making more money with my job (which I am) but I also got into a bad car accident.. which wasn't my fault but I just opened my new insurance quote and literally started crying.. lol. Really fed up with the financial situation I'm in tbh... Maybe it's just because my Jupiter is RX but I'm curious to know how others have experienced Jupiter in your charts through the houses? I am not too excited with taking the house as the literal "personality" of the planet- because with so many differing house system applied and various ways of interpretation open to us, there could be assumptions made that are not based on experience.Moon in 3rd for instance doesn't always give a sociable personality as would be expected of someone who has it-due to its affiliation with Gemini. But depending on the aspects made to the Moon, the sign the Moon is in etc, sheds more light on the subjective experience an individual with such a placement has. They could very well be "Gemini" in expression. But there is also a possibility that they could be the silent/non sociable type. I think I would first examine the condition of Jupiter i.e what sign it is in, what aspects it makes to other planets etc. Then make conclusions(considering transits and all that) IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter and my ninth house. I would say I'm lucky in traveling. I work for an airline and have flight benefits, so I travel often. In fact I am in Poland right now on vacation 🤗IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter in 9th house. I would say that the house Jupiter is in reflects opportunity for expanded growth rather than just luck. I've traveled quite a bit, but something tends to happen when I travel. I went to Japan once and came back on crutches, because I was not in enough shape to be used to all that walking. The group I was in wasn't very understanding so I ended up overworking my foot, but I still enjoyed my trip. The other time I went to Japan I ended up getting lost because of my poor sense of direction. As I look back on these experiences I wasn't exactly "lucky" overseas, but I did have a lot of opportunity for growth since I wax in a foreign country and I was able to learn about another culture. Edit: Jupiter Rx in 2nd house sounds tough. I have no idea how to interpret anything in retrograde. IP: Logged |

Jupiter in ninth "You are always hungry for knowledge and wisdom. You have a naturally philosophical nature, and you enjoy sharing your opinions and knowledge with others. You can be a natural teacher, and you love the learning process. You very strongly value freedom of movement and expression. You can easily be inspirational, and find success in travel, education, teaching, sports, publishing, and foreign cultures." I can't comment on all of that but quite a bit hits home. IP: Logged |

It helps to not think of Jupiter as literal "luck" all the time. Yes you can get lucky sometimes in your Jupiter house. But it is often better to think of Jupiter as your place of excess. You go big or go home in this area of life. That can definitely lead to luck but also things can get messy. We can also believe so much in our Jupiter that it blinds us to certain limitations. Seeing Jupiter as "all good" is a bit misguided. For me, I have Jupiter in the 6th (in Cancer). I go big in terms of my work ethic. Once I get going on a task, I can work my tail off. I can get projects done in a fraction of the time it can take others. I remember working like a madman on several scripts during my Jupiter Return a few years ago. This obviously can make me lucky in that regard. But I can definitely stress myself out by having ridiculously high standards for myself. I believe (Jupiter) so much in being productive (6th House) that I can be quite foolish in terms of my expectations on what I should get done. As if I have time to do every single thing on my to do list and then feeling anxious when I don't. Then, because Jupiter opposes my stellium in the 12th, I swing over into drifting off in my own little world to escape the stress. That is something I am working on. We are so good and so fortunate in our Jupiter house that we can easily take it for granted. So I am learning to appreciate every little thing I get done, instead of just hungering for more work to accomplish in a way that is impossible to pull off. Then, my 12th House planets can feel more balanced because my restful, time-to-unplug moments can be used to truly recharge and not escape. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

Well what aspects does your Jupiter make? If your Jupiter is afflicted you will have issues with money not luck.

Jupiter rules my 2nd and conjuncts Uranus which rules my 4H. Maybe I will have luck investing in real state. I am purchasing my first home this week, well starting the process. The plan is to fix it up and then sell it in a few years and profit from it, we plan to maybe keep doing that every few years or so...we shall see if it works out.I will say this I don't come from money and I am not rich but my family is a big security blanket for me, if I lose it all I always have a place to go back to and stay for as long as I want till I get back on my feet. In that sense I am lucky yes, I have parents that always have my back and I will never be homeless because of them, their doors are always open. My parents never spoiled me though and they are very frugal both with money. However all my basic needs have always been met. IP: Logged |

No I'm sorry it was my tone, was being overly emotional/dramatic.. Just seems like it's been one thing after the next (but such is being an adult I suppose). My jupiter is Leo 2nd house, Leo rules my Cap sun conj Saturn/NN in 7th.. Jupiter rules my 6th house With Sag Mercury in 6th, although I also have Sag moon in 5th (trine jupiter, sextile Venus in 8th) At this point I want to start my own business, and I'm not leaving my current location until I have my financial situation sorted out. And I can taste the $$$ here and now more than anywhere else ever lol Thank you to everyone else who has replied, I'll have to come back with more in depth responses.. In the meantime just know I do appreciate it!

Hello firemoon, Jupiter in the 2nd house isn't just about money, it is also your opinion of yourself, or your self esteem. This would be a confident placement for Jupiter as it expands and is hopeful, optimistic.------------------ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step...Lao Tzu IP: Logged |

I came to the conclusion that Jupiter doesn't always mean luck. I have it RX in my 9th house, in Pisces, and have it well aspected (conjunct MC, trine Sun/Merc, sextile Moon, squares AS/Chiron and Uranus), but I've never traveled much, didn't have an easy life and I'm not a super smart academic genius. One thing that I feel is connected to this planet position is that I LOVE to learn, I'm a sponge when it comes to reading about things I'm passionate about. I love the SUN/JUPITER aspect because I feel protected from bad things like accidents and I have a sense that things will work out eventually, which makes lazy sometimes. ------------------ Gemini Rising. I agree this is definitely true. I'm a big book worm as well, and I have traveled quite a bit in my youth.
But Jupiter is in my 6th H in Gemini squaring natal Moon in pisces in the 3rd H and sextile mercury and Mars. And I'm also a Sag Asc. Jupiter in the 6th really expands those Virgo qualities like self sacrifice, animals, and charities. I love my cat, always help others that reach out to me and work at a non-profit that saves lives. So I guess I'm living up to my 6th H Jupiter potential

Those who are born with a retrograde Jupiter may appear to others not to have accomplished much during their life, perhaps not possessing the outward signs of wealth that others have. However, this has much to do with the fact that individuals with Jupiter retrograde at birth are less interested in attaining such symbols. Their value system being more attuned to immeasurable achievements and it is for this reason that often it is said, Jupiter retrograde individuals struggle to attain the resources necessary for everyday existence. They may favour occupations or pursuits far from being lucrative, gaining rewards spiritually or philosophically instead. However, by choosing such avenues these individuals are working positively through this Jupiter lesson. For those born with Jupiter retrograde are thought not to have ventured much in a past-life, content to remain as they were, not stretching their capabilities or using talents. Therefore, this life is concerned with expansion, enabling individual’s with this placement to travel widely and open their mind up to diverse cultural experiences. However, they must do this without completely abandoning restrictions and becoming reckless and overindulgen site: http://www.patrickarundell.com/astrology/retrograde-planets/jupiter IP: Logged |
