The Importance of the ElementsWhen I first began studying Astrology, I missed so much. I ignored the little graph on the right side of the chart. This shows the composition of the Elements. I am a total earth void— no planets in earth. Some people say that earth houses can help with this( House 2, 6, and 10). I do have planets in some of these houses, but I do not believe it is much help, in my personal experience, anyway. I have a VERY sensitive nervous system i.e am very high strung. I feel a sense that I really can’t touch the ground. I feel a sense of not being grounded on the earth. Most of my boyfriends were strong in earth. My longest relationship was with a Virgo Ascendant, Taurus Moon and Capricorn Sun. Earth men make me feel safe. I feel like they can handle the DETAILS of life which overwhelm me. I am overwhelmed when trying to organize things, if they be papers or cabinets. . The hardest part of the earth void is my nervous system, which feels like an antenna, which is tuned too tightly *Sigh* I say all this to tell you that the elements are very important to you and important in your relationships.
I am very high in air–the intellect. I am high in water— the emotions. I have two fire planets– confidence, zest for life and adventure seeking. Let’s look at your chart! The first thing to assess is if there are any voids– no planets in an element. The second thing to assess is the ranking of the elements. The third thing to ***** is if there is ONE planet in an element. This is known as a Singleton. In these cases, people seem as if they have to PROVE they are competent in this element. I knew a woman with one earth planet–Mars in Taurus. She could fix any house hold item. She had a need to prove that she was “good with earth things” It is my mother. My father could not fix a thing but she would spend all day on a broken dryer, just to prove she could fix it. I have articles on Voids. It is one of my areas of special interest. I have articles on the Elements, in which you can see how the Elements function in practical lif

No I don't think so. It's more like I have always made relationships a top priority and don't like been single at all, I feel empty when I am, I don't give up easily on relationships either even when I say I want to quit is just bc I am frustrated at the moment and don't truly mean it. Psychology is a big theme in my life too since early on I knew I wanted to be a therapist. To be able to understand human nature and read people well. Since early on I wanted to find someone I could have an unbreakable bond with.I have pluto in libra conjunct Saturn in Scorpio so the desire to be in a relationship that I feel secure in with who I have an unbreakable bond with is very strong as well as my fascination with psychology and the occult. Resilience, not giving up and confronting my fears are big themes too. I turned my pluto in Libra in the 12th into a career as a mental health counselor. IP: Logged |

Are you serious? I think you unwittingly just helped to interpret my very troublesome Pluto in 7th conjunct the Dsc. Especially the "trying to get into people's heads". Only thing is that it is in Scorpio and I fear giving myself "away" or "letting go" so I really don't mind being by myself as I am quite bored by people and find many just not that fascinating. Have to be in control and refuse flat out to be controlled or changed by anyone in any relationship. And I don't date much. I look at other people I'm in a relationship with as how a scientist looks at his experiments:He loves and cares for them, so long as they remain fascinating. Once he has "figured" them out,he is no longer engaged . And the most challenging "experiment" is the one that gets most(if not all)his attention. @Ami I wonder if having Saturn in aspect to personal planets or conjunct an angle, would help to "ground" someone -in the case of a person with little to no earth? In my case,Mercury-Moon in aspect has me intellectualize subjective experiences and sometimes its hard to just "feel". As I am resistant to that.

I am an earth void but have Mars trine Saturn(close) and Moon trine Saturn(wide) These are true saving graces for me. If not, I would be like a helium balloon ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

You have Saturn grounding in a very positive way in the trine and sextile. The conjunction could make you too hard on yourself like "you are not worthy enough to be loved-- not perfect enough" ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I was initially surprised when I discovered I was water void. But I have plenty of moon and neptune contacts, and pluto aspects every single thing in my chart so I'm sure that helps...Additionally ruling planet of my moon, mercury, and venus is in the 8th, and chart ruler in the 4th. Zip in the 12th though. *What about the draconic? Could this help with the voids? I agree with being drawn to people that have lots of our missing element. I've always been really fascinated by watery people. It's often difficult for me to understand them totally, but I'm drawn nevertheless. If we're just doing planets and not asteroids, I'm dominant in air first (33.7%), then fire (28.4%), then earth, then water..... IP: Logged |

What if you have a singleton in Earth but also the ascendant in Earth and Chiron in Earth, creating a trine?IP: Logged |

I don't do Draconic. I tend to like the purity of the charts and don't like to go too far away from it. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I only have Pluto Libra in air but to fill that void I have plenty of planets in Air houses that actually makes me more detached than Air signs sometimes. IP: Logged |

Great question.
The ASC may make you LOOK very earth like but it would not be true. This could confuse you and others. Chiron trine the ASC ( and I have it too) makes for a person who helps others due to their own pain.
