so my ascendant is late aquarius but i've got the whole of pisces in my chart

the jury is out on which i more suit really.

but is it possible? to be a combination of both signs just by having one on the cusp of the first house and the other swallowed in the first house?

also if anyone can help me out to further differentiate between the two that'd be brilliant. i've done the reading online and in books and i'm really between the two imo

I'm late Virgo rising. My chart is professionally rectified and I feel very confident in the accuracy. Especially after reading about it and getting others input.

I am full on Virgo rising. I have no doubt. I think that where your ascendant is, is the dominant influence. However, I think that once I feel even slightly comfortable then I come across more Libra.

That's my personal opinion based on my own experience.

Yes, assuming your chart's Asc figure is accurate -- and that is a HUGE assumption, trust me, no matter the specific minute recorded on any document -- a 1st house that entirely swallows up the next sign does integrate that into your personality.

The two are quite different and create different polarities (+ vs - charge), unless the right type of planets line up with the correct Asc degree. Pisces is water and mutable, very impressionable, very sensitive, tends to stick with a few close people. The faces tend to be longish/tapering, sometimes beautiful oval shapes.

Aquarius is fixed air, relational in more a group way, more idea/communication driven rather than driven by feelings. The faces tend to be rectangular/squarish, especially in the forehead area.

With individuals there can always be exceptions depending on what other planets may be involved in 1st house or with Asc.

It sucks being on the "edge".

I have both my rectified Asc and natal Sun right on the 29th degree.

I am not aggressive- as is painted by the descriptions of Aries. But that could also be because the majority of Aries energy is "buried" in the 12th house? (both my 12th and 1st have Aries on the cusp)

And with Sun in Sagittarius.I am quite the cautious type. So again, that could be because the majority of my Solar energy lies "hidden" in the 8th house- where the ruler(Jupiter) is also located?

The Asc is also dependent on the place of birth. And if I was born elsewhere, I would have been born with a Taurus Asc.

So my place of birth is the only thing that got in the way of me being a Taurus Ascendant lol.I missed it by being 6 minutes early....

If your correct Asc is in the 28-02° range, then there can be a genuine 'cuspy' situation. There are two categories for this:

(a) a very late degree Asc, say 29° Aries, will have Taurus over the largest portion of the 1st house or wholly engulf Taurus (interception). This is condition in which Taurus is added in to the Aries rising personality so that it is truly a mixture of the two. Both body and personality have to be considered in light of both.

(b) a very early degree As, say 0° Taurus has no Aries included in the body/personality 1st house consideration, but has a psychological/subconscious dynamic of 'cusp' which exists in both late and early degree cuspy situations: unsure in developing, identity, moving forward, making decisions. Aries has been left behind, but there is still the 'new' sensation of 'what is?' Taurus -- for me.

This is most true for the last degree or first degree.

I think this can definitely happen when a person has a placement in that second sign in the 1st House.

My chart starts at 18 degrees Capricorn but my 2nd House doesn't start until 28 degrees Aquarius (just a few minutes away from being intercepted). So I have way more Aquarius in my 1st than Capricorn. And I also have an Aquarius North Node in the 1st.

So I have always felt a lot like an Aquarius Rising. Now that I am older and really growing into my North Node, the Aquarius energy is way more dominant in my demeanor and persona than Capricorn. Its to the point where I feel like an unofficial Aquarius Rising now. Growing up, it was sort of a split. But looking back, I see why I went through phases of dressing like a total weirdo just to set myself apart from my peers and why I always insisted on being noncomforming and different and saw myself as an alien haha.

You will always technically have one Ascendant, of course. But a powerful influence of another sign in the 1st can create a real shift in your being, especially later in life, and make you behave more like that sign.

Also, I have found that having most of your chart's house cusps in a Rising sign's traditional, non-intercepted house line up can make you feel a lot like that Ascendant. The majority of my house cusps, for example, are the traditional Aquarius line up, like Gemini on the 5th House cusp or Aries on the 3rd House cusp.
