Sounds like me and I have the conjunction. I'm not so sure the aspect contributes to this though. It does fuse the things of mercury with the things of venus e.g diplomatic speech and a love of learning. But I'm curious as to why you might attribute it to introverted intuition?

No. Introversion cannot be attributed to this single aspect. Many people have Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus (depending on what orb you use), and I guarantee you that they are not all introverts. The aspect can occur over many sequential days in which many people are born, a large group of many thousands of people which will be a mix of both introverts and extroverts.

This aspect moderates and softens communication, may interest the person in poetry, more pleasing or artful ways of communicating or learning. Analysis is not indicated by this aspect alone.

I am an INFP, but the introversion is due to Virgo rising and Moon in Capricorn, not Venus conjunct/parallel Mercury. Venus and Mercury conjunct are also not contained within an introverted framework, for example, if both are in strong aspect to fire planets, Uranus, etc.

whether this also applies to the last 3 planets esp of Neptune?

There is no other properties than the introverted intuition that can cause this condition (see my posts above)

First, introversion is the inward orientation of a personality, not merely how a person thinks.

Secondly, even if Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus is seen as an internal processing of some kind, if these two planets are in strong aspect to fire planets Sun, Mars, Jupiter, or to Uranus, you cannot expect that processing to be contained in an internal way.

Neptune in strong aspect to Mercury-Venus has a much greater influence towards an internal or visual type of imagination/intuition, but the application of the term 'introverted' to just this slice of someone's chart or personality is over-specific.

Lucy Lawless has Mercury conjunct Venus, but is an extrovert.

The conjunctions of Mercury and Venus happen frequently since they are never more than about 76° apart. They had nothing to do with the witch hunts, which lasted for three centuries. Otherwise, we'd see these witch hunts revived every time Mercury and Venus are conjunct. There is no direct causative relation, and there can be no single astrological factor or aspect fingered for such deadly waves of paranoia in society. It was a long period of sickness in western society.
