I KNOW I am completely wrong in terms of what I'm working with but getting "fog" to clear seems hard..
So in my not-so-trained-eyes, I automatically look at 10H and nodes. I have Taurus SN conjunct MC. Isn't that contradictory?? Jupiter is there as well. NN is in Scorpio 3H and I've bi!ched and moaned about this placement forever because TO ME, this is contradictory as well.

This is were I swing:

From becoming a successful CEO (currently working on that..) to buying a stone house in a forest and live on my own potatoes OR taking off to Tibet and live off grid completely.

Having a really nice car to having the ugliest car.

Dressing really sharp to dressing like a dirty homeless.

Eating "clean" to eating unhealthy.

I am one walking contradiction and especially so with my job. Would be nice to find a balance..

I think your nodes are trying to teach you to stop focusing on your career and status in society

I have south also in 10th but my north is in 4th ,you should focus MORE on your brothers sisters and communication and i on family and house ... oh well

I don't know... But I can sort of relate to what you're saying. Never had any interest in working for a ton of money or driving really nice cars, but I get what you mean.

Also, possibly your Sun/Moon opposition in action? I can't recall whether your Sun/Moon is in Cap or Cancer, but I remember that you have the opposition. Both like money and stability, but in different ways.

I have a good friend who is a Cancer Sun with Cap Moon in opposition, and she did the paralegal thing for years, hating it but making reasonable money. She now lives in a cabin on her family property, literally living mostly off her own potatoes. And she's happy, for the most part. Not sure where her nodes are, though.

For me, work shows up in my 6h. My 10h is empty, but I have Uranus on my IC, so I tend to switch jobs a lot--sometimes due to relocating, sometimes due to a place getting shut down due to lack of funding, and sometimes due to my own ego or need for perfection at work (Cap Mars in 6h).

What's your 6h doing?

Yeah, Cancer Sun 11H + Cap Moon 5H ...

Aqua 6H-empty. Aqua Vertex is in 5H.

I know I can never be happy choosing a side so I am trying to incorporate everything but it's hard. I wonder if it's not my south node pulling me back to monetary issues. Is Taurus about money? 9H is not about money though!? Progressed nodes are in 2H/8H so that would make much more sense if they were pulling me in different directions.

I know for a fact I would be happy doing the whole potato-thing for a while. And I would be equally happy doing the whole CEO thing for a while but then the pendulum starts swinging so I am thinking none of them will be satisfying in the long run

I cannot ignore the fact that I'll never be content NOT working and NOT providing comforts for my family. It won't go away. Money in the bank gives me options to do things I want to do so I need to figure out exactly what it is I am suppose to be doing.

I feel this deeply, Charlie. My MC is in cancer, I have a 4 planet stellium in Capricorn house four, plus my south nose in the tenth house in cancer too. I don't believe I will be happy and fulfilled without a career, so I look to the themes of the signs to help me out I guess. I stay nurturing by keeping my Career goals somewhat related to cancerian ideas (I work in art and I teach people), and I try to keep my home life out together. I use Capricorn sensibilities to nurture my household. I find home through career and career in my home.

It's confusing and seems to cancel each other out, but really it's just finding something more nuanced than dedicating your life to career. Personally I focus first on MC lessons before thinking too much about the nodes. Destiny, in my opinion, will present plenty of opportunities for manifestation throughout our lifetimes. You may want to look to your sixth house to see what your daily grind is like.

NN in Scorpio, to me personally, means your destiny is to shirk the facade of communication and go forward as one who communicates truth, even if it hurts. Where. Taurus SN in 9th may indicate that getting the finer things and going through institutional learning is easy to you on a soul-familiarity level. It may not always seem easy but you probably always come out on top. I don't think the nodes are ever contradicted, like everything in the chart the weaving together of information is extremely complex and layered.

For the record, my friend gave up the paralegal stuff and began writing as a career. She has to promote herself a lot, which can be uncomfortable, but she does editing on the side, and she has enough money to do what she needs to do for herself and her daughter.

She struggles with the need for a stable income, and really being happy with what she's doing.

If you love doing something, maybe you could do it from home and make money from that? It may sound trite, but I've seen people do it.

Cancer/Cap (my mom is also a Cancer Sun with Cap Moon in opposition) is so unbelievably resourceful with money. They manage to hoard away money while telling people they're broke, lol. And then they go on vacation or remodel their house or something.

My husband also has Cap Moon, and he does the same thing.

I'm not trying to pinpoint your Sun and Moon for what you're feeling, but I've noticed a trend in my friends and family with those placements.

And yes, I think that your SN is calling you to focus on work, finances, etc. Your NN is calling you to focus on home stuff, but I don't know if you could incorporate those needs into one?

My Sun and Moon are in opposition and square my Nodes, so I sort of get where you're coming from. It can be (and has been) a really difficult balance to find.

I WANT and NEED to work. I love having a job, love what I do, having my own money, my f*cking independence (Sun conjunct BML in 8h, and Virgo Moon in 2h). And I'm simultaneously obligated to stay home with my kids, which is cool (NN in 5h)...but I have to incorporate those things, which can be majorly challenging.

But for me, my NN is calling out more clearly for me presently, which is pleasant. I'm enjoying what I do at home. I figure if/when something comes my way that's meant to be for me, as far as enjoyable employment, I'll do that.

I'm too lazy responding all of you

I just don't understand my chart. I see the signs and houses and know what they stand for but I don't understand them. It's like I am one person and my chart a completely different one.

I need to re-study my chart because I honestly believe I am missing something or have interpreted it wrongly and that's why the puzzle is out of whack for me.

I have an issue with the word "true". As it often implies that there is most likely deception/complexity lurking somewhere that will "trap" you indefinitely.

12th,6th,10th and 2nd? These point to a direction where focus is likely directed. It's really up to the individual to connect the dots.

@charlie

well your chart does seem complicated, but one thing I know for sure, and that is that nobody can force themselves to move "faster" towards their north node. it's something ultimately achieved during life on earth (because I don't believe in reincarnation).

north node themes in life happen by time and are triggered by transits, so unless you experience one, you will remain clueless about it. but the nodes shouldn't be your only focus and worry.

to me the nodes represent the talents we are born with (SN) and the things me must achieve over our life on earth (NN).

for the time being, you can focus on your MC, its sign and the planets in it. you having south nodes conjunct your MC means that your job should represent your talents (those that everybody knows you by or seems to mention about you). the ones you deep down identify yourself with, and have done ever since you were a child. taurus is all things related to the land. architecture, agriculture, food, music, nice clothes and perfumes, etc. jupiter there shows that your job must also be about spreading the joy, motivating people or anything religious.

also, don't forget to try to maintain a nice home environment (4th house) and be nicer and closer to your family, so that they won't feel unloved by you getting too involved with you job.
family is everything after all

What I mean is that the interps of the houses where my planets/points sit, don't fit me! The planets/signs/aspects fit-not houses. I don't understand the CONCEPT of NN in 3H for example because it feels foreign to me and I don't understand the concept of Scorpio in 3H either but I DO understand my SCORPIO URANUS TRINE CANCER MERCURY because that fits. Do I make sense?

Maybe I should play around with house systems? I mean, I have soon reached 4000 posts and I can't be that daft??

What I am most interested in is the whole house system and what it does to my chart but I am going to study it and get back later.

Are you pretty sure your birth time is correct? Not to get into that conversation or invite it at all, other than to ask if your time of birth is based on your mom's memory, or a birth certificate?

Also, I tend to find the house placement of my NN mildly baffling as well. I get the sign it's in, that makes sense. I get the other planets, they make sense.
But again, my nodes are squared by my Sun/Moon.

I started to type the same idea earlier but didn't have a chance to finish. I don't think the nodes always make sense. They're a lifetime lesson, even if you aren't into past lives (personally I have no idea how I feel about them), I'd say more often than not the nodes are the most difficult to understand, even for the chart owner ¯\_(ツ )_/¯.

(If you are totally sure they cannot possibly fit, it may be time for the birth time conversation. But if everything else seems right to you, I wouldn't start tinkering with your ascendant. In my opinion.)

Vocation is indicated by a fully synthesized chart interpretation, not found in one area alone.

Whoops, I totally made a mistake with my friend's chart. She has a Taurus Moon. It's her daughter who has Cap Sun opposite Cancer Moon.

But my mom struggles a bit as well in that department, but her NN is in her 6h. She went to school to become a teacher, and did that, but then switched careers to be a bill collector, lol.

Then she went to work for the state, working with disabled folks.

But I don't think that your struggle is uncommon, really. Hope you get your chart/house placements sorted out.
