Wondering how everyone perceives these charts? I'm looking at the progression as a sort of secondary Natal .. i'm not sure on how to understand the Solar return really ... How do you interpret them ? ------------------ We are stardust IP: Logged |

The secondary progressed chart simply follows the natural movements of the planets as they continued after the 'snapshot' of the birth chart. The secondary progressed calculated points, however, are symbolic fictions (Asc, house cusps, MC). The solar return does not need a chart of its own with a whole new set of houses. I don't use them. In my view the significance of solar returns has been overplayed. Watch your ongoing transits rather than try to reduce the next year to a single chart with all new houses. The only houses that matter are those set by an accurate birth chart. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

I don't know yet how I feel about progressions or solar returns. I am keeping an eye on them but have never felt that convinced by their influence but am continuing to observe and have not formed an opinion yet.

I think it is more useful to treat yourself to a good natal interpretation and/or transits report that you can use for the next year.

The progressed Asc is an attraction point. It attracts the natal Sun of other people to itself.Or, I can say, much as the pMoon attracts whatever Sun sign it's "transiting" so too does the pAsc attracts. pVenus attracts in the same way...And pSun. IP: Logged |
