So many things can make one feel "ugly". And not just this aspect alone. What is the ruler of the 1st and what aspects does it make to Venus? Is Venus without aspects? Or does Venus have challenging aspects with other planets? What house is Venus? What sign is Venus in? IP: Logged |

Huh? I have moon inconjunct Venus. There are days I feel pretty and days I feel ugly. Perhaps Venus square AC plays into that too but my chart rulers sextile and conjunct Venus.. Sometimes I am very confident but sometimes I am insecure and feel ugly. IP: Logged |

Attractiveness has to do with genes rather than astrology. However, I think a negative aspect may make the person feel insecure about their looks. I have the square aspect among Venus and the Ascendant, and no matter how made up I make myself, I never feel "pretty." My mother would always encourage me to have self-confidence, but I could never find ways to see myself as attractive. It's always been an insecurity of mine.IP: Logged |

No, Venus quincunx (inconjunct)/150° Asc does not mean "unattractiveness." The angle of an aspect does not have the power to change the nature of either point involved in the aspect. No aspect angle can turn Venus from beauty into ugliness. And no, you don't have this aspect. It requires an orb of a very maximum of 3°30'. With your Venus right at 18° Sagittarius, that means an Asc at about 15-21°. Hmmm...Venus - what we value of ourselves- is in Sagittarius. North node in Cancer conjunct Asc emphasizes the appearance a lot. Venus forming an in-conjunction aspect with the North node and Asc suggest a chasm between Cancer and Sag. With this conjunction affecting the Asc, there could be an issue with image or appearance. Venus in Sagittarius could for instance give wide hips, weight issues, lanky body and great height. Whilst Cancer Ascendants more "feminine" physique could be what is desired. The opposite could also be true i.e you have the feminine curves and physical features. But yearn for a more rugged, sporty figure (Venus in Sag)? Whatever the combo, the result is that you look in the mirror (Asc)and see something other than what you find "attractive" (Venus) and thus feel "ugly"? You could have an "ideal" of what you want to look like- Asc conjunct North Node. But find that Venus in-conjunct gets in the way of that? Or you could feel that your body or how you present yourself (Asc)fails to match your inner spirit or beauty(Venus)? Is this accurate? IP: Logged |

Kind of. I guess you could say something else is really affecting how I look because I have a really lanky body, high forehead, no curves, really slim. I feel like I have no appearance of a cancer or a sag. The only thing I can say is that I would love to be more feminine and afford makeup and cuter clothing if it wasn't for the fact that I'm still young and my family isn't into that. I feel unattractive will bags (hereditary ones) under my eyes as well. I think Venus Inconjunct doesn't make you ugly, but does it act like a square (maybe you feel like you're really ugly, but you're probably not)? Or does this make me have a battle with my looks, that when I finally 'get it' it'll pass on?

I've read that Venus Inconjunct Ascendant has to take more care when in business dealings with others. (Venus also represents money)IP: Logged |

Another thing I heard was Venus Inconjunct Ascendants have a harder time (like for a date) getting ready and feeling satisfied with the way she looks. Not that she's ugly, Scorp. Just less confidence and wonders if she 'checks out' okay-- make-up, clothes, etc. She might not even be fully conscious that she does that? It's just stress. That it's hard for her to be spontaneous and just go as-she-is looking in the moment. So, in that situation this would reflect a milder stress for her, than for her friends who can just get up and be more spontaneous and confident?
