If you want to know rising sign, it is best to include at least his birth date so Sun/Moon/dominant signs can be separated from it. Otherwise people may tell you what you already know.Looking at his picture, his face tapers towards the chin in a generally oval outline, with the eyes to mouth area somewhat compact, and a high hairline; the ears tilt out a bit, and he has an overall look of reserve. This most indicates Capricorn. However, if his Sun/personal planets are there it allows for another rising sign. ------------------

My guess was Capricorn too, before reading your interp, Kannon. Interesting to see your reasoning. I got Aries before I clicked, intuitively, but he does look Capricorn. Cardinal, almost certainly cardinal...IP: Logged |

Thanks guys for your guesses. Kannon you're accurate in estimating earth is present - huge stellium in virgo/Sagittarius moon. My mum actually found his exact birth time yesterday after we looked - ascendant is at Leo at 11 degrees!
Perhaps this "Capricorn" look is connected to the earth stallion, although to me Cap ascendants don't really look like this! IP: Logged |

If the actual birth time indicates 11 Leo then his correct Asc will be found in Cancer. Guarantee you. The only qualifier would be if he had Saturn for example closely conjunct/parallel Asc.------------------

Kannon yes his ascendant is in contact with Saturn by a trine aspect (very closely). So 11 Leo with a Saturn aspect to asc. IP: Logged |

That's not what I mean. Trines and sextiles don't have the strength to alter fundamental qualities associated with rising sign. The aspect has to be a parallel/conjunction, square, contra-parallel/opposition. Ask yourself if your brother actually has a fiery, ambitious, independent personality that is courageous, outgoing, loud, etc. If the personality doesn't fit, you don't have the correct rising sign.
Leo Rising Description If he were to have a very heavy concentration of planets elsewhere, it is remotely possible he could be a Leo riser, but not likely. Besides, I thought Australian birth certificates didn't have birth times on them. Or does your mother have an official state copy?

Hi KannonI am struggling a little bit to understand what you mean by suggesting its possibly a cancer asc - perhaps I am not interpreting it correctly.(?) Born on Sep 1st 1987, at 5:07AM in Hornsby NSW are the exact stats I have to go off. Our birth times were written in the "baby books", mum confirms it was before sunrise. He is very arrogant and fiery - with a very hot temper..with the modesty as well which is a very odd combo like I always told him. He resembles his father (like I am told most Leo ascendants do) unlike cancer ascendants who usually take after mother.Perhaps the stats can confirm it ...or not IP: Logged |
