Five Aspects For a Painful Life

This subject has so many more possible choices. I will do several articles on this, if you would like. It seems as if every person has pain. However, some people do have a greater dose. The more painful aspects one has, the more pain.

1. Retrograde Chiron
The native with retrograde Chiron will have had to recycle” pain. By recycle, I mean play it over and over again before one can, hopefully, discharge it, to some degree. The nature of the Retrograde planet is a recycling. I liken it to going into a maze and going around and around until one can, hopefully, find a door out. One could, also, think of going round and round on a carousel.
I have this aspect and do feel as if pain has done the wash and spin cycle, a time or two.

2 Dejanira (157)Conjunct the Moon

This is the single most difficult aspect in the chart, in my opinion. The closer the aspect, the more painful. I have, always, seen severe abuse with this aspect, usually sexual abuse. The personality seems to fragment, as well. Very, very sad. Again, remember how important the orb is. With an asteroid, the widest orb I would accept is 3 degrees and the trait would be more ambient, as well.

3. Uranus Square Mercury
The mind attacks the person badly. Each person has a mind that attacks him, I think, unless I am the only one. However, the native with a close Mercury/Uranus square has a very difficult time with all manner of mental struggles such as obsessive thinking, worrying, anxiety, striving for perfection and other such difficulties.

4. Chiron Conjunct the Sun

If this aspect is close, the self esteem of the native seems to be eroded. The father may have been abusive, as well.

5. Chiron Conjunct the MC

The only thing worse than pain is pain that is seen by others. That which conjuncts the MC will be seen by the greater society. You may be known by that trait. Chiron is pain, so Chiron conjunct the MC angle would be some sort of pain that the world sees.

Thank you for your aspect series, Ami Anne! It’s really interesting to follow. Dejanira conjunct Moon made me take a closer look at Dejanira in my own chart and I noticed I have two Dejanira Quintiles (Quintile + Bi-Quintile).

I’ve seen that you’ve been working a lot with Dejanira, so I thought I’d ask how you’d interpret the "victim asteroid" in a Quintile aspect which is supposed to be ”gifts” or ”blessings”?

Dejanira Bi-Quintile Chiron (0°01s)
Dejanira Quintile Venus (-0°19a)

Are these still pain/victim aspects or how could one interpret Dejanira Quintiles?

Thank you T. Your kind words mean so much to me!

If I teach in a helpful way, I feel very happy inside lol

I would say that you would use your pain in some way as a talent. Perhaps, you would write poetry, create music, art or write about it.

Most creativity comes from a place of pain and/or deep understanding of human nature.

Think of some really deep song?

The person must have understood pain in order to write it.

I would say something like that xx

I just remembered I asked this question (you should do Five Aspects For Forgetfulness lol - I would not be surprised to find one or all of my aspects in there - or it could just be my Gemini airheadedness).

Wonderful interpretation. I hope I can use my Dejanira Quintiles like that in the future. Right now I am caught up in pain and hence it is difficult to utilize it for good. I am like that. I can't write about pain when I am in pain. I can only do it in hindsight.

Thank you so much!

Oh my, I have 2 of these aspects...not sure about Deinara, would have to check (what's the asteroid number for it?)

Uranus Sq Mars at 7 orb
Retro Chiron in 9th House.

Uranus/Mars is a hectic aspect--I have Mars in the 12th house and feel like my temper boils inside.

Not sure about Chiron is playing in my life--but it is Sq my Mars by 2 degrees and and Opposite Venus by 5 orb...my love life seems to have problems...

Thank you, Things

That would be a great subject.

I am classic for it

1. Earth Void.

2. Lots of Gemini

What else would you add?

5 degree orb would be more ambient but love could still be tired up with pain

With Mars, you may feel pain when going after goals, such as a discouragement that you will not be good enough to reach your goals, something like that.

There is beauty in the struggle and you never know how the pain you endure will help another and save lives. Life does not determine who you are, only defines it.

Chiron conjunct MC couldn't also suggest some kind of career/ life work inspired by one's own pain/ woundedness - so that after the person integrated that side into themselves, could heal others or inspire others through that?

And I'm not just saying because I have this aspect , but I really feel it's going in this direction for me. Also, I don't mind others seeing my pain, it's more like I hate when other feel sorry for me. I want others to see my pain though, because that would connect us in a human way. It's an opening through being vulnerable with one another. I invite you to be yourself by letting myself be vulnerable with you. At least this is where I'd like to get.
But if the feeling sorry part comes through only, then the meaning of the pain gets distorted into something like "it's not okay to feel this".

I was just thinking that this aspect (Chiron conjunct MC) could also mean that the person who has it has also got the opportunity to use their pain in their work/ career, let's say. Like a healer, someone who can inspire others based on their own experience with pain.

Oh my. I think you summed it up pretty accurate (LOTS of Gemini - or well, just prominent Gemini in my case). Perhaps Mercury/Uranus (scattered thoughts). Neptune too (head in the clouds).

Thank you again!

Cinnamon

YES, that could be the case for the MC/Chiron placement but I think the pain of the person would be seen by others, too.
