I originally posted this in the Interpersonal Astrology, but it's not really a question about any specific synastry, and I don't find many responses in that forum, so I'm reposting it here.  What, in a chart, could possibly create terrible experiences with specific Sun signs that we're "supposed" to get along with??
Like, the entire spectrum of the signs, regardless of degree. These signs fall in my 4th and 10th houses, which are essentially empty, save Uranus conjunct my IC, and my NN at the end of my 4th house. Another is my own sign, which I seem to have an immediate dislike for, even if I have no idea that the person is a Pisces. In person, they just annoy the crap out of me, and I'm always surprised to find out that they're Pisces. Pisces falls in my 8th house, so there could be some explanation there, but I really don't get it. Again, it doesn't matter what degree their Sun is at. Other placements besides Sun don't bother me, although I will say that with one sign, the Moon there will grate on me quite a bit as well. Is there some sort of logical explanation for this? It's not like I have a cluster of asteroids in any of these signs, so I'm really pondering why I seem to have the worst experiences with them. I also noticed after typing this that I have similar experiences with Sun signs that I really like, and have almost always wonderful experiences with, regardless of their Sun's degree. Signs I'm not necessarily "supposed" to get along with as far as elements or squares/oppositions, etc. What's the deal with that, anyone? IP: Logged |

I don't think there is any logical response to your question that pertains to astrology. If you are a Pisces Sun you may be picking up too many energies from others that interfere with you r own. It would be wise to learn some energy shielding techniques.

all i know is my prog asc. in aqua i was strongly attracted to aqua/leos. when its in pisces im strongly attracted to pisces/virgos. unproportionately higher than average, like 3-4 times higher that i am attracted and find out its one of those signs.so sign energy does in fact have an influence on who you attract. I haven't been here. I don't know - you didn't mention specific signs, so I didn't know if you were talking about the trines to your Sun, or things like Aries, with your Venus being there. IP: Logged |

My aunt, who has been a thorn in my side this week, is somewhere around early Aries, I think. I wish I could remember - I'm just like Dory, now, in Finding Nemo.
Let's just say that she was rude to me on Tuesday morning, after I'd been avoiding her for two days, because I was expecting the exact sort of attitude she gave me, and then she invited herself back to this house that night, and stayed as long as possible on Wednesday morning. She had me in full panic attack mode, hiding out, as she took over. I should have just blasted her again, but I didn't want anyone's feelings to be hurt.Her Sun might complete my T-square in cardinal planets. Your Venus is conjunct my Sun, but your Mars squares it - so if you're having a problem with Aries (  ) that might be it. Or we might just be annoying. I don't know. I'm trying to remember your chart. I remember parts of it - ascendant, I think, and your Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars. If you don't know their charts, they might have a planet grating on yours - like I usually don't like Mars conjunct my Moon/Venus, and it squares my own Mars. Thanks, you guys.  Yes, I'm saying that I've consistently (throughout my life) encountered far more of the negative traits of Taurus and Scorpio than the positives (not to say that I haven't had ANY positive encounters, but a lot of really, really nasty ones). I don't have any planets conjunct my Sun (although BML is conjunct my Sun, as well as Pholus). I have the opposite occurrence with Sags and Virgos. I almost ALWAYS love their energy and have good experiences with them (again, not every single one, but the majority), even though it's not necessarily the ideal match for Suns, and there's not necessarily any aspects that would account for it. This doesn't appear to be a passing thing, as I've noticed a mild trend with it from childhood to adulthood. Weird, eh? IP: Logged |

Oooh, good call! I was thinking it was in Gemini (that's where Nessus is, not Nemesis), which I have no strong like or dislike for either way, and vice versa. Yes, Nemesis is in Scorpio for me.

There doesn't seem to be a particular degree or range of degrees involved, but maybe I'm not looking closely enough. Upon further inspection, the nasties I've encountered don't appear to have any Sun aspect to my natal asteroid Nemesis.  But it is an interesting thing to look at, and the fact that I have BML in Pisces, conjunct my Sun. IP: Logged |

I think I have Nemesis in Scorpio, and have had two bad experiences with Taurus, one with Scorpio (that I can remember). They're my 1st and 7th houses, so it's supposed to be all wonderful. One of those had Mars conjunct my Moon, though. I have the occasional problem with Leo, and I don't think that I have contentious aspects with them. It's more when they develop an attitude - I think it's a general thing with sign, depending on my mood and theirs. IP: Logged |

Yeah, there's no perceivable aspects that would account for an entire spectrum of a sign for me. I haven't closely examined each person's chart, as I don't have access to them, but while most things can be explained with aspects, this seems to be just some sort of theme that I'm not quite "getting". Hmm well I am a Pisces, married to a Sag (who I chose over a very successful Scorpio), but I also have a stellium and Juno in Sag. I both admire/hate Virgo energy as it opposes my stellium in Pisces and I have no planets in Virgo. How is your Venus and Pluto? What about your chart ruler? Is there anything in your chart that points to a reason? IP: Logged |

I see nothing in my chart, to my understanding, that would point to a reason for the general either animosity/jealousy towards me, or the general annoyance that I personally feel. I'll add that the Pisces and Scorpios on LL all seem perfectly pleasant (I haven't run across many Taurus folks here, but they also seem pleasant). Anyway... Do you really think that Pluto/Venus aspects would cause a general disturbance with an entire sign? I do have them in opposition. My Sun is my chart ruler, and has a pretty wide range of aspects.
