Oh so that's why I am back on this forum! :lol:I took a much needed break from Astrology months ago, and Mercury retro is now bringing me back. haha. I am going to confess, it was nice not to be thinking astrology all the time. For the most part, I was not checking ephemeris, transits, moons, etc...none of that, except for a couple of times when I broke down and looked up ephemeris online. But in general, I just lived my life. And things actually went pretty well! I think there has GOT TO BE A WAY TO TRANSCEND CHARTS AND ASTROLOGY. That will be my ultimate focus eventuallly. No, I'm not. Mercury is still in Direct motion: It doesn't go Rx until December 19th. Where are you guys getting your planetary information anyway? ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |

Kannon, I think people are talking about the shadow phase. It is possible to start feeling Mercury Rx in the shadow phase. IP: Logged |

It is also possible to imagine you are feeling it, because an astrologer put the idea into your head and it is easy to anticipate the big deal many of them make of it. The Arkana Dictionary of Astrology has over 560 pages of astrological terms from the last 2000 years of astrology (or more). You know how many times Mercury 'shadow' is mentioned? Not one time. quote:
Do The Math For Yourself Mercury experiences a retrograde cycle approximately once every 4 months, and during any given retrograde cycle Mercury remains retrograde for approximately 3 weeks. The pre-retrograde Shadow Mercury periods last 2 to 3 weeks. The post-retrograde Shadow Mercury periods last 2 to 3 more weeks. So add them all up - the pre-retrograde Shadow Mercury periods that last 2 to 3 weeks, the Mercury retrogrades that last 3 weeks, and then the post-retrograde Shadow Mercury periods that last 2 to 3 more weeks. Yep! According to these jokers, you should then refrain from significant communications, signing contracts, and the like for an average of 40% of the time during any given 365 day period.

I signed a contract to buy a house when mercury was retro. I had absolutely no problems. Miscommunication happens even when there isn't a retro mercury. It's called life. IP: Logged |

I can ignore people I don't like on a forum. As an astrologer, however, I can't ignore an article here on the front page built around: Tom Petty is Cap ASC. Let's discuss that. Anjelica Huston might have a Cap ASC. Let's discuss that. Doris Day and Raquel Welch are Libra ASC. Let's discuss that. Farraw Fawcett and Robert Redford are Leo ASC. Let's discuss that. Adam Sandler has a Scorpio ASC. Let's discuss that. Can YOU ignore that? and the fact that the article is still up there, for some astonishing reason, and the OP's cyberbullying this forum around it?
I'll bump it for you to give your opinion about it. ------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

Please don't bother to bump anything for me. I took a break from this forum for a few months, and i come back to find all those fires everywhere. I can't be obsessed with chasing down people I don't agree with. Astrology is a sacred Science. It used to be studied in secret societies. Now it's done in the open, online, for anyone to read, post and give their opinion and insight. So a true student will have to learn to sift through all the online information to get to what she/he needs. It's part of the process. Nothing esoteric comes easy. No knowledge can be spoonfed. This is where the serious student will have to do personal work to figure out who to learn from. The art and science of astrology can and is misused by most practitioners, including myself. that's why I took a break and will take another break. In fact, I am currently exploring transcending the chart and living a life free of astrology. IP: Logged |

I don't think you bothered to actually read my post, Belage, since there is no chasing involved, and your comment is gratuitously offending, just like the first one. You know why? Because it is always offending to bump into a fiery conflict and give opinions about it without actually finding out what this is about. It's minimal respect towards all people involved. ------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... LeeLoo's Esotericorner IP: Logged |

You feel offended but I meant no offense. I have been around here long enough to see some of the dynamics involved in this fiery conflict that is coming out in the open on LL. And no I don't need to read every single thread and every single post to see what is going on. It is actually quite transparent. Policing people online can be fun and exhilarating, but this is not how I wish to spend my valuable time. Especially when nobody is paying me for it. Nah son. Well, Mercury retro brought me back. I already feel I have overstayed my welcome.

Ah I see Not much to add then, I guess the self-description is pretty self-explanatory. I would just answer your question then: no, some things can't be ignored, even with the incredible price of disturbing a sacred gold rush lunch break. Some issues are even important enough to make us "obsessed with chasing down people we don't agree with" (e.g. crucial Libra issues ) (not saying there was any chasing in the painful situation you stomped onto with your comment, it isn't) Have an easy and safe Mercury Rx ------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...
