Would having a 1st house Cancer Venus/Mars conjunction add Aries Venus/Mars, or Libra/Aries Rising characteristics to certain aspects of my personality, or am I interpreting it wrong? Thanks for helping IP: Logged |

I have noticed that generally speaking there is no consensus among astrologers when it comes to interpreting planets in the 1st house. Some say that Venus in the 1st house adds Taurus/Libra Rising energy and Mars in the 1st house adds Aries Rising energy to the natal chart. Others say that the 1st house is like any other house and point out the fact that it is associated with the Aries/Mars archetype, therefore Venus in the 1st house adds Aries Venus and Mars in the 1st house adds Aries Mars energy to the natal chart. I personally agree with the latter. My Moon is in Leo in the 1st house and I often feel very Aries Moon-like. I by no means have Cancer Rising energy. I know some people with Venus in the 1st house and they act like an Aries Venus at times, they are bold when it comes to showing off their beauty, very straight forward in dating, are fiery, impulsive and passionate, etc. I would say use the system that works for you the best, neither is right or wrong.

I had a lengthy discussion with Soren about this and I think that it may possibly be an intricate combination of both?

It's not doubt there are various zodiacs IMO. Houses are zodiac. There are many different blends for each body. The person's question was more if you had something like venus in the first, would that make you seem more libran/taurean. IMO no. In most opinions: yes. Not going to argue tho IP: Logged |

I have Venus in the first house (closely conjunct ascendant) and I wouldn't describe myself as having a Venus Aries at all. I feel it adds a more libran feel to me in the sense that I dress in a harmonious manner and am very pleasant to be around. I don't like to ruffle feathers unnecessarily. I don't know what it depends on really. I'm still undecided on how the houses actually play out. IP: Logged |

Do you ever leave the house without makeup? IP: Logged |

Missing Soren. His intelligent contribution was a big part of why I liked Lindaland back in the day. Along with Todd. I used to bother those two with questions a lot haha. Wishing him the best of luck wherever he is. IP: Logged |

I agree. It makes the native more of a go-getter Aries than the more passive Taurus and Libra when it comes to Venus matters. IP: Logged |

So my Cancer Venus conjunct Cancer Mars at a 0’20 orb, would express itself more as an Aries Venus conjunct Aries Mars? ------------------ Cancer Rising 2nd House Leo Sun 3rd House Leo Mercury 6th House Sagittarius Moon & Pluto 1st House Cancer Venus & Mars 10th House Pisces Jupiter conjunct MC. Yes I’d say so. It’s almost like you can’t help but ooze the energies of Venus and Mars, even if they’re in the shy and sweet Cancer. Are you a go-getter when it comes to personal ambitions, money and relationships? By the way I’ve noticed in general Cancer Mars can be as ambitious as Aries or Capricorn Mars, if not more. Venus/Mars in the 1st house especially close to the AC may give a devil-may-care vibe along with romanticizing of scars eg tattoos and piercings. And with them sitting in Cancer there may be emotional attachments to childhood scars as relics of the past. IP: Logged |

I heard that Venus-Mars, in the 1st house, can both sculpt the way a person looks. 1st house planets do that.------------------ Happiness is easy to find. IP: Logged |

I agree with the above. It’s more of an Aries energy. I’ve had multiple relationships with men who have Aries in their chart and it never works for me, but it’s an energetic attraction to begin with but always find that energy too self-centred, as a Virgo stellium person. I have Venus in Leo in the first and my partner Moon in Leo in the first. IP: Logged |
