I think shoegaze can maybe be a water thing in general? I just get a lot of mixed emotional feelings whenever I listen to it. I just said Pisces because of the dreamy aspects in a lot of the songs. I saw someone describe it once as a mermaid getting sucked into a blackhole, lol. And your husband must be awesome if he loves shoegaze!! I can't find too many people who do.

My chart has a lot of Cancer and Capricorn in it. Mainly water with some earth. A Cancer Sun, Mercury, and Venus, and a Capricorn Neptune, Uranus, NN, and Midheaven. Also have an Aries rising with nearly all signs in their rightful houses with a Pisces Moon.

Yeah! That! Curve!

Before we were an item my husband was trying to win me over! He made me three 'tapes' (cd's but tapes sounds so much better) Fire, Water and Mist. Awesome, no one ever made me this. Fire = action and raw music, water sensitive, flowing and beautiful and mist mysterious, vague and melancholic.

Yes, it's water then!! Def!! Because I like dreamy a lot as well! I love other worlds, fantasy etc. My husband and I share beautiful musical synastry > his Nep trine my Venus and my Nep trine his Mars. And we have Venus/Mars conjunct
When we listen we feel magical and romantic and in another world. It's so striking those aspects! Really noticeable but only when we are together alone with music.

Thank god you have a fiery Ascendant in Aries!! Haha, all that water will make you drown at times. The Aries will not let that happen! Well the Cappy either.

I have another nice tip. Just a really relaxed and nice song. You gotta listen with headphones! It's on Spotify, a real water song. Gun Shy by Neighbors from the album Failure. Have a listen.

Plus, isn't music altogether a water happening? I always get a lot of feelings when I listen. Doesn't matter what kind. Especially in the car. My Neppy in Scorp is in third so I really get all spiritual and wooly when I am travelling.

I definitely need the Aries Ascendant because I'm a fire void. I have a lot of cardinal in my chart too, so I'm able to somewhat persevere when times get tough.

Yup, I always listen with headphones on. You need to, especially when listening to the atmospheric, beautiful guitar noise of shoegaze. I never heard of Neighbors before either, but I really like that song too! I'm not very familiar with nugaze, so it's nice to hear some good newer shoegaze. I've listened to some like Wild Nothing, Airiel, and Diiv, but somehow they didn't really do anything for me, so I sort of gave up listening to the newer bands and just listen to the older 80s/90s shoegaze. But now I have a few more to listen to.

Yeah, I would say music listening by definition is a water thing. It brings out our innermost emotions and can change them in an instant too. Music has that effect. The heavy water in my chart really needs that creative and emotional outlet. I have a Grand Water Trine with Moon, Mercury, and Pluto, so music listening has this emotional and intense effect on my psyche. I can also relate to it being a very spiritual experience.

I will end with another Boo Radleys song. This one is one of my favorites currently:

Anything by Mozart, would represent a Virgo taste I believe (with a Libra Venus like me ).

There are also two songs struck me as a kid, and my theory is that kids we are more of their Sun signs than they are as they get older (with transits, etc.). These songs are in Spanish but I'll translate the key parts.

One is a beautiful, delicate and old-fashioned love song, much in the style of what a Virgo would say to declare their love. It's a 'bolero' called 'Sabor A Mí'. It is like a lesson (or that way it struck me) taught to someone by her bf: 'Because you think yourself pretty, you become boastful; well roses are prettier, and time comes and makes them fade. Time comes and makes them fade, beauty is not that much of a thing'. I think almost any Virgo (either jealous or just concerned) would somehow agree about the practicality of this reasoning. I did accept time would change things at such an early age, to think of it...
