I know most articles paint Saturn out to be ominous in regards to the second house and money but has anyone had any positive financial experiences?

About half way through the transit, Saturn will be in trine with my 10th house stellium so I'm kind of excited to see what it brings. I also have Pluto (slowlllyyyy) transiting my second at the moment.

No, but I have noticed an upgrade in the kind of gifts I've received (a few). They're secondhand, but still excellent quality. I have an iPhone and an iPad, thanks to my dad - both kept in great condition by their previous owners. I had a cheaper tablet last year, and it had all sorts of problems with right from the start. He told me, if any of us was going to get another tablet, it should actually work well, and that's how I ended up with this. He loves eBay, and really takes his time looking for quality (he's a Taurus).

Money has always been tight, though, and it's much tighter now. I haven't checked my transits, so I do t know where Saturn is. I was looking forward to this transit, because it trines my Aries, and my own MC.

I believe I am just exiting a Saturn-2nd House period.
I won't lie to you - it has been tough financially. However, it has taught me to be far more wise juggling money.
I have Uranus there, so from time to time there have been some unexpected increases in income, but they were short-term. There were far more extended troughs than peaks TBH.

My financial situation began to improve when Saturn got into the last 10 degrees of the 2nd house, and I have more opportunities presenting themselves now that should improve things for the long-term future.

I think that is the important thing to remember about Saturn, he builds a better structure slowly, that is *lasting*. So the struggle pays off for a far longer period of time than the difficulties endured.

I'm kind of excited for the same reason, the MC trine. I hope it's a fortunate transit for you!

Thank you for your input. Definitely agree, regardless of which house it's hitting - saturn leaves us a little bit stronger and wiser in that area.

I have Saturn around the middle of my second house at the moment, and he's moving up towards my natal moon also in the 2nd house

so far - yeah tough.. but all because of me and because of 8th house so start looking into your 8th house to see how to deal with your 2nd house troubles or how you have been dealing with it or indication of the root - and what might be there that Saturn is opposing and using to teach you the lesson.

I've got Pluto in 2nd there too! and my natal 8th house has Lilith 29 degrees Taurus.
so you can imagine how this story is gonna go.

Currently, Jupiter is squaring Saturn sorta and Jupiter is in my 12th house and bringing up all this repressed stuff from the past

so altogether = I've been dealing with 2nd house matters like self-worth, self-value, priorities - especially because my natal Saturn is in my 4th house. and money has always in the back of my mind.

when i had issues with 2nd house matters (due to trauma etc) and pluto is transiting it so stirring it all up - i ran across the street and dealt with it like my 8th house - drinking, eating, sleeping - being venusian.. but then that Lilith that i had there i guess you could say indicated some deeper things that i did to run away from my problems - I'm ashamed to say blowing a lot of money to avoid dealing with things

so when Jupiter entered my 12th I entered therapy for PTSD

and this full moon conjuncts that natal Lilith in the 8th house opposite transit Saturn in my 2nd house has shown me which specific repressed traumas is the origin for those behaviors and I apprehensively look forward to dealing with it.

i have a feeling that it will help result in Saturn going from 'teaching' to 'building and repairing'

i hope this has given you a bit more of an insight
i hope your transit will be as transformative but less heartbreaking than mine

and fingers crossed that by the time he reaches my moon I won't still be being punished!!

Saturn was transiting my 2nd house when it was in Libra, back in in 2010-2012. Natal Saturn is also located in my 2nd house. Although during that time I had some unexpected expenditures which were quite costly, I also managed to put aside really a lot of money, through reasonable saving. I have never managed to save so much money, lol! But I am quite thrifty by nature (Sun, Venus, ASC in Virgo…) so it comes pretty easily to me. Maybe the fact that Saturn is exalted in Libra also played a role, but it was overall quite a good time of my life.

I'm sorry to hear this has been so hard for you but happy that it will be easing up soon. Plus you sound like you are pretty strong! PTSD sucks... dealt with it for many years

When saturn was transiting my 8th it wreaked all sorts of havoc kind of in a polar way to what you are going through now.

Wishing you a speedy end to the transit!! Thank you for sharing that!

I am hoping, and kind of feel like, this will be what happens. Like you I have a heavy virgo influence which this transit will be positively aspecting.

Thanks Gemini!

I'm going to start this transit in a year. Definitely will be better than current Saturn squaring my 10th stellium. Ann7, what has happened with transit Pluto in your 2nd?

Please dont quote, i just wanted to share my experiences:

My second house cusp is scorpio, but is mainly saggitarius

Saturn entered into my house about 2 years ago and these are my happenings

Squared my Venus/mars and opposed my chiron - difficult relationship ended. And my self esteem took quite a knock

conjuncted my Jupiter/Uranus. I started worrying i was going to lose my job. Not long after this I applied for an internal transfer to another country and got it and my income actually went up. I had SR saturn in my 4th house and SR uranus/moon conjunct in the 9th. Tr Uranus was going through my 6th.

Next was that Saturn was squaring my virgo mercury. I went through a brief period of anxiety(im natrually anxious anyway) and some lesson on my organisation skills.

My mercury is at 17 deg virgo and my SN is 18'50 deg saggitarious. So my most recent happenings were

- Telling the guy I have been seeing that i need someone who will be serious about me. We'll see what happens there.

- Telling my landords i want to move out. Im not happy living there, I feel like i have no privacy and it just doesnt feel like my home.

I think this saturn on my SN/squaring my merc was pushing me to speak up and also identify things that are not working for me. I think its more like things I value not just material thing like money possessions. It is hard but i think it will be beneficial in the end what ever happens. I am learning about money too. I think im being taught to not spend money as soon as i get it, save some for rainy days

Communication seemed to be highlighted for me anyway - this merc/pluto in cap is in my 3rd house. And the full moon will be widely conjuncting my natal moon.

By the time saturn is finished in my second he will have gone over my neptune and start opposing my moon and squaring my sun. We will see.

Pls dont quote my posts

Thank you for that. I love that you had a positive experience when Saturn hit your Jupiter / Uranus.

Near the end of the transit Saturn will be in trine with mine so I am excited to see how it all works out.

Happy that you found your voice.

Honestly, a lot of nothing, lol. Pluto moves so slow and is only really felt when it's hitting something. I felt more when it went through my first house.

Pluto is set to trine my MC soon so I am hoping that things will start moving forward (not that they've been bad - just a little stagnate). Uranus just started transiting my 5th and Jupiter just, literally, entered into my 11th (probably why I'm restless).

Looking into starting my own business or finding something new career wise.

What planets do you have in your 10th and what have been your issues?

Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury in 10th. When Saturn conjuncts, squares or opposes the stellium, there's usually a reshuffling. I don't know what though this time around. Not bad but stressed.

On a totally different subject, kind of, how does Saturn in the 10th play out for you? I'm guessing it helps you with being disciplined in your career or maybe staying put / dedicated to your work (?)

Saturn in 10th. Learning from the bottom up. Fearful yet respect authority. Want to be my own boss. My mom pushed me hard when I was a kid. Don't like asking for help. Seeking perfection. It's a hard a** placement. But also rewarding when I set my mind.

Well it's at the beginning of my 2H conjuncting exact my Southnode and I just purchased my first home and got a small raise yesterday. I suppose it can represent increased financial responsibility. My goal in 2017 is to eliminate debt and save money as since I just purchased a home I used up most of my savings.

Congrats on the new house and the raise! I'm happy that something good is coming from the crossover. I like to try and focus on the positive side of each transit so this is great to hear!

Yeah, with a new home will definitely come financial responsibility. Getting my finances in order is a big part of what I'm looking to do in 2017, as well.

I'm just about to start Pluto transit in my 2nd house too..... I've been reading things on the internet and outlook not so good :s I'm scared! In the early degrees of Aquarius, I have Jupiter which is also my chart ruler so I don't know how this tPluto/nJupiter conjunction plays out too...

Usually pluto/jupiter means money and is positive.

Pluto moves super slow so unless it is negatively hitting something in your chart, I wouldn't stress it too much. You might find that by the end of the transit (which will take years) that you handle your money differently.

When I started this transit I was very carefree with my finances, living for the now. Fast forward to the present and I am much more focused on monetary security.

Thank you for your input Ann7!

I see the same changes you mentioned in myself too actually. I'm more conscious of how I spend and becoming more mindful of my finances. Luckily tPluto doesn't seem to be forming stressful aspects so far... So okay! I feel better now

Thanks again!
