Hi guys,
I have a Pisces Midheaven in tight conjunction with Jupiter in Pisces, as well as Aries intercepted in my 10th House.I heard Jupiter in the 10th House tends to bring luck to one's career life and was wondering if you had anyone opinions on the statement. Do you know or have you known anyone with this placement in their chart? What is their current profession and how did things turn out for them in turns of career advancement and finances.

I've been on the fence on which career path to pursue (law or elementary school teacher) for 6 years now. I'm halfway into my first year of university and I feel like it would be wiser if I made a set decision now. That way, I could sign-up for an LSAT prep/seminar-like course in the winter and start studying summer of 2017. I know I wouldn't be able to write the LSAT until 3rd or 4th year of university, but I feel like preparing early would lessen the chances of "failing" by 1 or 3 points ... I don't take losing very well and would be willing to do whatever it takes to get into law school on the 1st attempt.

Not to mention, my mother has been a 3rd grade teacher for 12 years and believes it to be a really stable job in terms of income and social benefits. She says the salary is pretty good (she's above 95k atm), but her coworker's daughter has a STARTING salary of 80k as an Articling student. That's quite motivating if I do say so myself!

Although nothing can beat my passion for young children, I can't shake the feeling that maybe I'm meant to be a family lawyer/child advocate attorney (I've been saying I want to be a lawyer since the age of 9). However, I heard lawyers tend to work long hours (and weekends!) and as a Cancer Rising/Venus, although I'd be earning enough to provide my kids with everything they could ever want, I KNOW I would deeply STRUGGLE not seeing my husband and children as often as I'd like to. What do you guys think?

All the comments/advice/help are much appreciated!

Hi, I have Jupiter in the tenth as well. Yes, it brings luck, at least for me in that I always get the jobs I want. I feel it helps in keeping a good work ethic and high standards.

I say go for the law degree. If you decide it's not for you, obtaining your teaching degree will be easy (compared to vice versa). In the end, listen to your gut.

Hope this helps a little.

Ohh okay! Even though the job market is terrible, maybe I won't struggle finding a job after graduation after all If you don't mind me asking, what did you study in school, what profession did you end up choosing and how is your career going so far?

Nutrition and alternative health is what I studied but I get bored and change things up (uranus). I've worked everything from medical to hospitality management to working with celebrity VIP's to being a personal assistant (with a bunch of other stuff thrown in - I'm old, lol).

Right now I am in a transitional mode - not sure what I want to do just know I am ready for a change. Throwing around the idea of starting a business.

I think that Jupiter in the tenth gives you added confidence that you *will* get whatever you go after if you are willing to work hard enough.

Seeing as it conjuncts your MC I think you will have a lot of good fortune regarding your career!

I have it conjunct MC, SN and Chiron Taurus. Guess I’ve never been out of work. I like to work physically or with my hands and I currently do both and both are my hobbies.

In the Koch House System, I have it in conjunction with the MC + Saturn in the 10th House (11th House in Placidus, but I relate to both descriptions, mostly the 10H one).
“A professional astrologer once told me that Jupiter (the benefactor planet) placed in the 10th House of profession, social status and expansion is the best asset in a natal chart and is one of the best placements one can have for financial prosperity in life.” 😱

So you’ve NEVER been unemployed?! Lucky. I’m still young, but I’ve been unemployed for a few months ‘cause I didn’t pass probation. Apparently, it’s a whole other thing than actually being terminated from your job 🤔

Since you're a Cancer rising, being called to a life as a lawyer would not be an easy path to choose. It's not necessarily the happiest path either, because as you mentioned it would be a huge struggle to not spend as much time with your family as you'd like. While I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you should not be a lawyer, the reality of the profession may not necessarily live up to what you wanted when you were 9. This comment is based on the ruler of your Midheaven. Neptune is presently in Pisces. Since Aries is intercepted in 10th house, this most likely means that your Midheaven has not been hit by Neptune yet. With this in mind, if you pursue this career, you may end up realizing later that you would rather not be a lawyer.

Given what I've said, it is best to consider if you are able to handle the long hours and the work involved in studying to become a lawyer. Of course, follow the path you want. You can be a lawyer if you want to be one and you decide that this is definitely the best career for you. It's just that Neptune touching the Midheaven can really shatter your dreams and what you thought you wanted. The career may eventually become more than you can handle and you just need to be sure you really want the life of a lawyer before you try to pursue it. Be realistic about what you want from a career.

I think if you are really on the right path and your dreams are clear, Neptune transits are easier. Neptune's opposition to my Midheaven didn't make me change my mind about my career, for example. It may not necessarily change your mind either. I've just heard in some cases that this does happen when it aspects the Midheaven.

Yes. Myself. Jupiter in Virgo is tightly conjunct my Virgo Midheaven from 10th house.

I'm a writer, but I've barely started and I am most definitely not yet published. I haven't had my Saturn Return yet so I'm only at the beginning of properly establishing my career. In terms of finances, things could be better, but I am financially stable for the moment at least. There's no telling when this will change though. Every time I stare at Uranus in my 2nd house, it becomes hard for me to tell if my finances will ever improve. It aspects my Sun in 6th house and makes a minor aspect to Jupiter and my Midheaven. The only thing that makes me think I *could* succeed as a writer is my astrology chart. Mostly my North Node in Capricorn contributes to this. It makes me think that if I work hard enough maybe I'll be able to generate my own income one day and have a successful career as a writer.

These people often feel like their career has a higher purpose or there is a spiritual "purpose" to it.

This especially when Jupiter is in Pisces,Sag,Cancer or Aqua.

Venus/Sun there is also great. Sun there could feel like an extension of who they are. Whilst Venus suggests that they fall in love with their career

Steve Jobs has his Jupiter in the 10 house. It worked out well for him.

On another note, I know 2 women who both have their Sun and Venus in the 10 house, and they are both sex workers. I wonder if theres something in that..

Yeah! In addition to feeling like my purpose is to become a successful compassionate family lawyer or child advocate attorney, I also feel like I’m meant to be a spiritual leader of some kind who brings as many people to faith in The Most High in as she can 🤗

I’m considering consulting 1 or 2 professional astrologers about this 🤔 I heard the “Yodha” & “Chaturanga” apps are ridiculously accurate with predicitions & advice ... there is sooo many 4-5 star detailed reviews! I think I’ll try it out today

Neptune parallel my Mc. It can get pretty roundabout after a while. Its an awful state of being to just wander around in your life and be despondent.

I wonder if Jupiter ruled people sometimes feel this way? Mars/Merc/Saturn in 10th seem the best placement IMO. As one gets down to the grind of what the career is without being overly sentimental about it.

Ofcourse Mars/Mercury in water may change things and involve feelings a lot I know. But I just think it best not to be super attached to ones career.

Be attached to your inner life(Ic) and what you become post your career actualization years instead.

So many kids are asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?". But few of us internalize whom we become after all of that worldly success, fame and glory.

I have both Jupiter & Saturn in the 10th house in the Koch House System.
What do you mean by “inner life”? What does the IC have to do with that? I think my 4th House is both Virgo & Libra.

I look at the 4th house as the golden years. The years of winding down. But ofcourse a lot depends also on the placement. For Aries/Leo Ic people, this may not be the case.

But generally I look to it as the years where there is a lot of internal reflection. And its relation to the final resting place(the grave) is apt.

With Ic in Virgo you are likely to keep on working well into old age. Whether this is through a job or volunteering etc.

There is often a sense of accomplishment that is attached to Virgo. And when on the Ic, the need to do something that contributes to the wellbeing of the world becomes paramount.

In Virgo however it is likely to not be something grand. It could be taking care of kids in an orphanage, helping disabled children to read or being involved in community outreach projects.

Whatever it may be should feel purposeful. As this Ic suggests you are not the type to enjoy sitting sound rocking in your chair. That taking part in life and being "productive" is what you still want to do.

It is also possible that an ideal job comes along later on in life. You could find your passion and create a job around it. Or your skills and abilities are high in demand as as you age.
