I ask this question probably spurned on by the new moon in Gemini that is in my 8th house that contains Lilith opposing Pluto in my 2H

so the whole 8th house/2nd house axis has been hammering on me today and yesterday.

I don't have a great relationship with money. I'm disgusted by it, I cringe away from it, I'm scared of its power, I crave it desperately for its security -it's my most dysfunctional relationship

While I don't consider it the root of all evil -it's been the cause of so much pain and grief in my life that I'm not surprised now to think of it that when I was deep in the pits of depression I turned to spending it and getting rid of it. "It's evil get it away from me! if I get rid of this evil these horrible feelings will leave me too. When it goes ill feel better!"

I have Venus in Scorpio - beauty/love and money (1H) conjunct Pluto in Scorpio (2H) opposite Lilith in Taurus 29 degrees (8H)

where my issues began with -that's simple to answer = both Venus and Pluto are square Saturn in the 4H that gets opposition from Mars (10H)

If I look at the clump of issues I'm working through in therapy at the moment I think this new moon mixed with Jupiter transiting my 12H, and transit Chiron has finally shown me (after much frustration) the string that ties them all together.

Now to sort through it I guess I really need to 'follow the money'

Hope you feel better today.

I've had the same feelings about money. Philosophically, I'm thinking about it all the time: who makes the money, who decides how we can obtain money, and why is it that it seems there is never enough money to go around?

I see the power abuse in money manufacturing (The Fed) and notice how people are enslaved to a certain extent by it. I see how it affects everything, puts excessive burdens on people, burdens that get worse and worse and are not remedied in healthy ways. Sometimes it seems a person has to either work 80 hours a week or make immoral judgment calls or go against their own personal value system, just to have a sense of financial security. Unless they are lucky enough to come from a wealthy background.

I'm reading a great book called The Nordic Theory of Everything. Makes me want to move to Finland! The author points out how stressful and crazy-making America is, starting with the fact that basic needs are not being met and some things are just way too expensive (health care, education.)

Anyway...

I have an 8H Pisces moon, I guess I like to take a penetrating view of money.

I inherited money, that's an 8H thing.

I got out of the stock market when I realized just much war profiteering was going on through it, in ways beyond my ability to track (ie, mutual funds I don't have the time to keep tabs on).

I have never been great at earning money, not yet, because first of all I find it extremely stressful being around people all day. Secondly I am just too idealistic. For instance, I found it difficult working at a cancer hospital, because I honestly believe there are alternative health approaches that can give people hope and sometimes life, and seeing those approaches systemically ignored and ridiculed was just too much for me. I have also been taken advantage of, in the workplace. When I was a teenager working at a convenience store, a manager would insist on taking over my register as soon as I got on it, and then the register always came up short on cash, and I was blamed. I suspect they were outright stealing from it.

As a Capricorn I do need to get back to making money but find it difficult to figure out how to stay inspired when so much of the money-making game is spoiled for me by complexity at a level I find ugly and hard to deal with. Just to give one example, some companies want to see your Facebook account. I don't have one. I don't want one.

Money comes easily(Venus trine Jupiter) , and money goes easily(Mars square Jupiter) . Jupiter is in Scorpio, rules the 2nd house and is in 1st house in my chart. Nothing in 2H, Moon in 8H( I'm still waiting for that inheritance part).

I'm not money-oriented, but I'm not going to live in poverty. I am a bit of a hedonist, I enjoy comfort, good food, sex, music and all that (Taurus SN + Venus in 5H). Money is just a means to get everything I enjoy, I don't cling to it. Now I love playing guitar, but I won't be able to repair my guitar or buy a new one if I don't have any money.

I like doing the things I like to do and I also like buying the things I want to buy and therefore, I like money. I have no issues whatsoever spending all of it on something I like/want and then save on other things. Money comes and money goes. I have no intentions of dying rich!

I also like to work for my money. I like the sense of "achievement" it brings. Work makes me happy!

Not "dysfunctional" at all.I would say that you are describing the relationship that most people have with money.

My relationship with money is the same relationship I have with the natural resource that is water and to a greater extent planet Earth ;I try to keep to what I need and avoid excess.

Venus-Saturn conjunct makes me believe that all good things do not necessarily come to an end. But that everything is cyclical.

Apply yourself in the summer(save a lot during the "good" times) and spend wisely in the winter(the so called "bad" times).

Its worked so far and most people think I have a lot of money because they can borrow from me

I am always afraid to spend my money... I have been poor my whole life, grew up without much, and definitely without any excess. These days I got a really fine economy though.... I have saved and saved my money for many years, so I can practically do whatever I want, I keep earning more, but somehow I can never get myself to spend them on anything especially (other than food). I don't buy expensive stuff, I always buy second hand as much as possible, but sometimes I would like to give myself a gift... but even then, its hard for me. Like even if I force myself to go out shopping and plan to use a certain amount of money and tell myself thats ok, I still cannot do it..... I aint greedy at all, I'm ok with spending a lot when I'm out with friends, but thats the only moment where I spend without thinking....

I guess I just learned the hard way, that I can never be too safe economically, and it's like I always want to be prepared for some crisis where I really need it

Jupiter opposite Saturn, and Saturn is my strongest planet... I also got scorpio venus trine jupiter and a very nice jupiter + saturn, so I think I found a nice balance and a nice relationship with my money finally (after almost 8 years with extreme poverty)

I'm actually interested in your experience, sarahhm. My sister also has Pluto in the 2nd house, probably not the best house for it to be in. So far, the only thing I've seen manifest from that placement is that she likes to hoard things and claim stuff that aren't hers. I guess it all stems down to that desire for security you were talking about. With Pluto, you can never get enough. Whichever house it touches, it takes it to the extreme. There's never in between. I don't know how it's specifically gonna play out for my sister, but I'm gonna keep observing.

As for me, I am quite materialistic. I love holding cash physically in my hands. It's really weird. I have my Sun in the 2nd house. I have more of a positive relationship with money, although I am still teaching myself to spend it more wisely. I love things of great value and I am a firm believer of getting what you pay for. This is why whenever I look at my sister's chart, I stare at her 2nd house and get annoyed by it. I especially hate it when she takes my stuff. I always get them back unless I don't care much about them. I'm not very fond of sharing either. I believe there's enough stuff for everyone to have one of each. I'd rather give than share.
