Other aspects such as squares, trines and sextiles are factors, too, but the conjunction is always the strongest, so we will stick with that here.

The North Node Conjunct:

The Sun-–You were made for greatness. You were made to shine. You are a superstar and you must find out in what spheres of life you will shine. The rest of the chart will show this. Your life purpose is to get confidence and really build up your identity and self esteem. You need a strong ego to shine.

Donald Trump is coming to mind. The Donald is confident. He knows who he is. As he says, if a wolf pack goes after him( and they do), he will end up the leader. I admire his self confidence and that is why I used him for an example here.(This is an illustrative example only. Mr Trump does not have this actual placement)

The Moon--Your purpose is to show the world your heart. Don’t try to hide because you were born to show your emotions to the world and to help others do the same. This placement could be in the chart of a poet or a musician.

Mercury-–Your purpose is to show your mind and/or the unique way in which you communicate to the world. I could see placement being in the chart of a writer or actor.

Venus–This native was made to be beautiful. The beauty of Venus includes grace. If you want raw sexuality, grab LIlith. I can see this native being a model, make up artist or clothes designer.

Mars--This placement may not be a good one. Mars is one of those planets which can go either way.Hence, I am not sure.This native will be tested on his ambitions, passions and drives. He will, likely, be known for this trait.

Saturn–-This native may not have a life of fun. Leave that to the Saggitarius’. This native may be called on to be mature, disciplined and wise. Saturn rewards those who learn these lessons, so if this is your placement, put your nose to the grindstone, eat your peas and make your dad proud.

Jupiter--This native would be the opposite of the Saturn. He was made to have a good time( and make sure you have one, too) This Jupiter, probably, has very good luck. He is at the right place at the right time for the best girl and best job.

Neptune-–I have heard that this is not a good position. I have heard that it may cause misfortune. I don’t know because I have not seen it in many charts. Please, weigh in, if you have it.

Pluto—Big bad Pluto makes a splash at the North Node, as he does everyplace. This native may be a power keg of a person. I, always, think of Putin when I think of power. “Talk softly and carry a big stick” sums it up for this native. I do not know the location of his Pluto. However, for me, he embodies Pluto conjunct the NN.

Uranus –I, always, think of Ali G when I think of Uranus. I love Ali G as much as I love Stephen King and that is A LOT! Ali G breaks barriers. Ali G is the Lenny Bruce of our time. Lenny was another iconoclast. I am not citing actual chart placement in any of the above natives. I am exemplifying how I envision an aspect. I admire a leader. Uranus conjunct the NN was not born to be a sheep. More power to him!

Chiron Chiron is pain. One would not choose to have Chiron conjunct the North Node because one’s life would have the theme of pain and the effort of attempting to use pain for a greater purpose.

Well, that is a GREAT question. I would say that planets ( and asteroids) and their ASPECTS help you on the way to your life purpose or HINDER you, Panzi.

I have seen so many things in doing charts. I should write another article, but I will give you one example.

If your Moon is SQUARE the NN, your heart may fight/thwart your purpose.

For example, your heart may want to be a stay at home mother and your purpose could be to be a career woman, that kind of thing.

If your Moon trines your NN, your heart will be a helper to find your purpose.

I have this. Venus conjunct NN with a 0°13' orb. They are trine my Asc and Saturn with a 2° and 3° orb respectively for the grand trine. The conjunction is in Cancer 1° past the cusp of the 9th. And for good measure, thanks to natal Venus Rx, my Venus has (just this week!) returned to Cancer and will be conjunct the natal again in about 2 years.

Beauty? Well, I don't break mirrors. But nobody would mistake me for a model or a movie star either. Fashion? Ha! I think my Scorpio Asc and Neptune take care of that. I stick to a conservative look. People have been trying to expand my color palette from blue, black, grey, and white all my life. They haven't succeeded yet. Grace? As in not tripping over my shoelaces? Not so much. Grace under pressure? I'd like to think so. But not so much that you'd hold me up as an example.

Now, some of the things I do think it has helped with. When I think of the gifts and blessings I've had in my life, at the top of the list is the people that I've been blessed with who have loved me. That starts with my parents. My mother had her Mars conjunct my Venus, my Dad had Saturn conjunct there. They had their problems, just as anyone in this mortal life, but I never questioned whether they loved me.

Venus rules my 7th, 8th, and 12th houses. I've been fortunate in partnerships and relationships. I've never really had that "crazy ex" that so many people seem to have. I've had friends and mentors that have helped me at low points in my life. Of course, some of that credit goes to Jupiter and Mars in the 7th, and my 8th house sun, making me somewhat a natural for a partner.

I think Venus (by way of rulership of Taurus) must be responsible for voice. I sing passingly well. In my youth, I considered a career as a voice teacher. Before life happened and Pluto decided it was time to transform my life again...

Anyway, in anticipation of my progressed Venus returning to the natal, I've been giving a lot of thought to what my "purpose" in this lifetime is mentioned to be. I've not fully answered the question yet, but I'd be interested in finding out. There's probably tons more to say, but it's Christmas Eve, and family awaits. I hope you and everyone here has a blessed holiday weekend.

Venus trine North Node - orb of 2 degrees
Mars square North Node - orb of 3 degrees
Jupiter trine North Node - orb of 2 degrees
Saturn semi-square North Node - orb less than 1 degree
