Had my Saturn return at the end of November. Much to my surprise, it's been mostly positive, I think. I'm sure the effects are still in process and it's still early for me to say, but I feel certain things in my life are really starting to fall into place. For what it's worth, my Saturn is in Sag in late 6th house close to the cusp of 7th house.

I will admit I was afraid of what would happen with this return, but it wasn't so scary. Just some thoughts for now.

Mine was not scary either but Saturn conjuncts my chart ruler and they say if Saturn rules your chart things tend to get better for you after your first Saturn return.

People often look at transits with catastrophic thinking but I think most transits if you look at them as opportunities then you can gain a lot from them.

I do get that Saturn transits can feel frustrating though like when it squared my mars I felt things were not happening fast enough and felt stuck but I was doing important stuff that will allow other important goals to unfold later on. When it squared my Venus I felt super old and unattractive and when it squared my mercury it lead to a car accident and now car issues and issues with internet at home and lots of rescheduling appointments with clients and misunderstandings around appointments ECT..

But the thing with Saturn is that it rewards you if you put in the work so I don't hate Saturn transits, I find Pluto transits more scary and I think uranus transits are exciting and bring positive changes to my life.

I remember my Saturn return being pretty mild too. Now that it's been about 4 years and Saturn is opposing my sun from my DSC, it feels as if this Saturn cycle has just begun. Sh*t just got real for me! Just keep in mind that Saturn is slow and concerned with development which is a process somewhat correlated with time, life cycles / stages of development. What I'm trying to say (and it seems you are aware of) is that it's effect may not be that obvious yet. Depending on your chart and where Saturn is transiting could give you clues as to when the challenges will present themselves.

I kinda like the way this article describes the Saturn cycle:

Thanks hypatia, I like what I'm hearing about Saturn rewarding you. I agree, I've had more upheaval in my life from Pluto transits affecting my Vertex.

Damn man, I vaguely remember your picture from the thread where everyone revealed themselves and you do not look like you had your Saturn return 4 years ago! I could have sworn you were younger than me.

There is a vague sense in the air that my efforts for certain things are starting to reach some form of tangible success or momentum. Certain difficulties and challenges have been slowly dying down.

It's a calm yet still uncertain feeling.

Haha... younger than you! Oh Cosmic, I see ur still the charming Libra.

I know what you mean about that calm. It's a hopeful but quiet excitement, a resting period even, or at least it was for me. Back then, I couldn't help but think, or more appropriately, wonder, "is this all!" At that point in my life, I had already been through so much and I had this moment of appreciation for myself that made me feel confident about the future. Lol, but like you, I had the sense to humble what I couldn't help but think was premature celebration or overconfidence. The uncertainty can be positively grounding if you don't want Saturn to catch you unawares. That's how it worked in my favor anyway. Now that I think about it, I needed that calming moment as preparation for the past month's mutable squares and Saturn's opposition to my chart ruler and sun/ASC. Without taking the time to appreciate where I came from and the qualities I developed, I can totally see how destructive this current Saturn transit could be to my self worth.

Hopefully, your experience of Saturn on your DSC will be easier since it's compatible with your planets in Libra. It sounds like it will be. Besides a loose square to my moon, my natal Saturn is tightly trine my Sun/ASC, and exalted by sign, so when I had my Saturn return, it was mostly supportive.

I wasn't expecting the opposition to my sun and ASC to be so tough, but dammit, it's a real bi*ch! Lol. I've got some tough Pluto stuff too going on. The planet of the underworld is opposing my progressed ASC, quincunx (or is it called inconjunct?) my natal sun/ASC, and square my Saturn. With all that, I am still hopeful! It's not over and I am worried about my closest relationships, but It continues to be a rewarding experience. Good luck, Cosmic!!

Saturn opp. Sun: WOW, this is all starting to make sense! I had this just a year and a half ago, when I moved out and basically had the toughest, most awful but incredibly challenging year of my life! Felt like a Saturn return at 24, for sure. My real Saturn Return will be happening in 2021, but I can't imagine anything worse than what I already went through. I actually think it won't be so bad, since I went through one prematurely! Good to hear from others who say it is a positive experience

Haha, I'm not kidding!

But yea, ReachingForTheStars, I always appreciate your well-thought-out and thorough responses. You collect every bit of your thoughts before sharing them. Very Taurus.

Thanks man, sorry your Sun-Opposite-Saturn was rough. I had Saturn opposing my Ascendant in Gemini and all I can remember from that period was finally letting go of my ex (from a relationship that ended almost 2 years ago). I guess I got the Square to look forward to when Saturn hits Capricorn...
