Have you had experiences with them?

do you think these people are the types that prefer others to come to them rather than approaching people themselves? (perhaps due to insecurity or a fear of rejection)

I have Sag ASC w/ Saturn/ Uranus conjunct and Neptune all in the first and retrograde - but Saturn is closest to ASC - but too wide to be conjunct.

When I was younger I never approached people and was riddled with social anxiety and fear of rejection. But with Saturn in the first you learn to handle it and now I approach people, ask men out on dates. I'm pretty much fearless now. Although still terrible at job interviews

@vertiver

that's cool! Well done overcoming your fears!

And I agree; whichever house you have saturn in, with time you can get very good at it; far better than those who don't have that placement

Yeah definitely. I think the biggest challenge is that we are much more self-critical with this placement. And I'm experiencing Saturn in the 1st full on at the moment because T Saturn is in my first and my Saturn return is coming up next month.

I have a friend with Saturn on her Asc. She's someone you can rely on, always. This is what sets her apart from others. As for fear of rejection, it is possibly true. Her Venus is in Leo so she conceals it well. I think anyone with this placement will be hesitant to make first steps. I mean, they Can make first steps, approach a guy if a girl for example, but the fear of rejection will always be there. You really need to reciprocate to show them they're doing the right thing coming to you. Or make them feel like you like what they're doing/how they're acting.

My youngest (almost 15) is a Gemini asc with saturn in the first, I've noticed the same thing with her. She has slowly become more confident and will approach others, however I notice that she will kind of watch how people behave first. She is also very disciplined. I think this aspect makes people cautious, definitely mentally strong.

I have Saturn on ASC...now that I think about it, I need to feel/see a bit of warmth from another person before I open up.

I can approach people, but oddly just the other day, I realized as a kid all of the friends I made actually came to me. I was a bit hesitant and reserved, but would open up once the other person started to engage more.

I'm still that way, but not as much (plus my line of work makes for the need to be outgoing).

But people do always say they think I was reserved/guarded at first for the most part...

I have it in the first conj asc in capricorn.

I don't prefer one way over another. If they like me or wanna talk to me and I haven't noticed them then yeah by all means come n talk to me. I do the same when I like/want to talk to people.

I'm ok with asking people out n voicing my desire/affection. I have a saturn influenced chart, and it seems like the best most practical thing to do. If I like something, go get it. Like someone, let them know. Gotta start somewhere. Save time. Plus I have an impatient streak in my personality, so I'd much rather have a quick, clear answer.

Sure *rejections* don't feel that nice. Hell who am I kidding, even in everyday interactions, like when I start conversations and others don't response that enthusiastically I get a little miffed. But there's a myriad of reasons why they response the way they do, so I get over myself pretty quickly. Plus, you win some you lose some.

When I was younger it usually didn't occur to me to talk to/interact with other people. I was curious about a lot of things, except for people coz back then experiences taught me that people often = more trouble than it was worth. Then I grew up n moved to a place where the environment n people n vibes were different, so I started to like interacting with others after I had more positive experiences. Definitely worth the troubles.
