I haven't been on here in awhile. I am currently starting a Saturn square my natal moon transit and it hit like a ton of bricks. I literally woke one up day and just felt an energy shift right into my chest.

Any tips? Any words of wisdom? Any hope?

I am sorry to hear that.

Did anything happen to you to make you feel this way? Like losing something important? or the breakup of a relationship or hopes being dashed?

If not, maybe it's a case self fulfilled prophecy...

Many years ago when I was just a novice at astrology, I discovered transits and I realized that I would be soon going through a Saturn opposite moon transit, and I read so many negative things about it that even though my life was fine at the time, I began to feel like crap.

what house is ruled by the Moon in your chart?

I just completed this transit ( opposition) in September, three times.
Most disastrous time. There was no remedy or cure to all the loss that i experienced, only to discover later on, that the things that were taken so brutally from me, actually were a burden for my progress.
I felt a huge relief when the transit started to separate.

I recently broke up with someone but the thing is, it wasn't a serious relationship but I had hoped to cultivate a genuine friendship with this person. Then just recently, we got into a fight just erupted out of nowhere. And the only significant transits we were both experiencing, I had a venus square uranus transit and they had a venus square pluto transit. Both our pluto and uranus are conjunct. And I talked with a friend of mine who is into astrology too and they said, it's that mercury rx and those "two upheaval transits. They getcha."

And that was sort of the beginning of it.

Orange,

my moon sits on the cusp of my 6th and 7th house. And Saturn is transiting my 9th house and is on my MC right now. Apprx. 1 or 2 off.

I had just dealt with Saturn opposite Moon transit myself. Not the same but similar enough to help you out with it.

It was perhaps the most difficult time of my life for me. Saturn was also transiting the second house, and there was a lot of stress put on me in terms of going out to get a job and to work hard in order to cultivate some sort of personal wealth. Of course, my motivation sunk like a ship, thanks to Transit Neptune T-Squaring my Moon-Pluto opposition (it still does today), so I was not successful at all in that area until the very end. That's not even the worst of it though.

My self-worth plummetted and I went through a vicious cycle of self-loathing and self-hatred. I also was dealing with a severe level of depression on a daily basis and I was never happy. I hated life and felt like no one really cared about me, that my existence was trivial and lacked purpose and if I was to vanish no one would notice and/or care. I always set myself incredibly high standards and when I wouldn't achieve those standards I would call myself a failure. It first begun with extreme rage and the type of depression associated with severe anger issues (T.Mars was retrograde in Scorpio as well however). I wanted to scream at everyone and everything and I felt like people would just walk all over me, even if they actually weren't doing it. I wanted to so badily destroy and disintegrate the existence around me out of this internal disaster that took place, but it wasn't long before my anger reached a peak and it killed me by imploding instead of exploding.

I always felt like everyone was trying to manipulate me, tell me what I should be doing and how I should be doing it. I wanted to break away from society because I felt like no one cared about me and I wanted to escape into my depression (plutonian tendency?). I would get so easily caught up in these depressive moments where the outside world would no longer exist and the only thing that I could see was the depressive lack of self-worth that ate away at my confidence. I guess I was lucky that I was so good at hiding it, but when I did share my depressive feelings with people, I would always get misunderstood and I would keep it all to myself.

I may have drifted off a bit, but this is pretty much the meat of it. I would suggest getting in the habit of telling yourself that you are a good person and give yourself positive messages. If you do find yourself feeling prone to self-hate, tell yourself not to do it and pull yourself out of it. I don't know if you have this strange desire to lavish in the pain like I did, but if you do you will have to pull yourself out of it.

Saturn transits are challenging. They aren't easy, but they can be overcome. I overcame, and you can to.

Ah man Electro, thank you for that in depth description of your experience. I'm sorry that was so rough! I hope my experience is not so. I've been through a Saturn transit square my moon before and that was a really difficult time in my life as well. I've also been through the conjunction transit, too.

Maybe now that I have a better idea of what can happen, I'll be better prepared this time around.

Be prepared, and be sure to be ready for anything Saturn decides to throw at you. With this knowledge and with your own wisdom, you can pull yourself through this

You said you felt it hit 'in your chest'... That's where your Heart is, the seat of your emotions.

I looked up "Saturn Square Moon" --
Robert Hand's book, Planets in Transit.

(This is an EXCELLENT book, and a must-have on any astrology-student's desk.)
You can find a copy at amazon, or here... http://arhatmedia.com/

Quoting Mr. Hand,
Page 332.

This transit can be quite a difficult time for your personal and domestic life.
On the psychological level you may feel lonely and isolated from others.
You may feel depressed and undeserving of love.

Sometimes remembered past actions make you feel guilty that you have not lived up to your own expectations.

Externally this transit can create difficulties in personal relationships,
especially with women,
because your emotional communication seems to be cut off.
Your job may make demands that conflict with your domestic responsibilities, so that you are forced to neglect one or the other.
Your parents may also be a source of concern at this time.

SATURN represents the structure and formation of your ego, your sense of individuality and uniqueness,
while the MOON represents your need for connections and roots.

The conflict at this time is between aspects of these two principles.
Somehow it is difficult to be yourself and do what you must,
to maintain your relationships and get much-needed emotional support and reinforcement from your loved ones.

These elements of your life are not truly in conflict, for they are complementary principles that need to be properly balanced with each other, so a time of readjustment is at hand.
Usually it is the Saturnine element that has gotten out of control and the Lunar principle that has suffered.
This situation is the underlying cause of the loneliness and depression that often accompany this transit.

You may have to make important changes in your life priorities.
You may have to deemphasize your work, in favor of your emotional and personal life, or
you may have to break off a relationship that has interfered unnecessarily with your work.
In either case, you must restore the balance between these two aspects of your life so that your life will run smoothly again.
endQuote.

I also have begun this transit...
P'Moon in Sag has been being dogged by tSaturn. (more constriction)

I felt the kind of 'hit' you are talking about.
I thought it was from New Moon Capricorn 7+(which, in a way, is partially correct).

Is transiting Chiron in Pisces opposing your Moon too, by chance?

If so, then you have not only tSaturn Sag squaring tChiron Pisces for a few months, but tChiron opposing your MOON? ... Or, do you have a Pisces Moon?

In a way... I feel this is great. Provides a chance to get at the bottom of some healing I had needed... Closure. Wrapping up and understanding wounds at my e.o. life now. Like a life review.

Now that you know that it's a transit, does it help you feel more empowered... in a way?

It had a beginning....
It has a defined ending.
We 'hold space' in the middle of all of that, to sort out our lives.

Keep watching for the positives that occur, and hold on to those, too.

Wishing you Good Days....
Receive the support of friends and encouragers.
I'm glad you're here.

I remember you posting to me in a similar thread about how handsome I was and how I could end up doing music like Sting. I wanted to thank you for that since it meant a lot to me to hear that, but I forgot to do so in that thread. So, thank you

This. All this. Rings so true for me. I have been working so much and so long. I am not only a Cap sun, but mercury and mars as well. I just finished a Saturn conjunct Venus transit and I have Venus conj my MC natally. So, everything 9th house was affected, along with my work which is tied into higher learning and travel, etc.

My family and my friends have asked me where the hell I have been. I realize that the relationship that just ended, I was waiting for things to settle down at work before I carried on with it the relationship and made any commitments, but I think it's too late. =/

And yes, you are correct. Chiron is opposite my moon, so Saturn is both squaring my moon and Chiron. The relationship that just ended, transiting Chiron is opposite their natal Chiron, both squared by Saturn.

Ouch.

Dang. Everything is a mess.

Electro!!! Thank you.

cchampliss2 ... haha, messes can be good! There's a saying about Chaos being a birthing ground.

You are having simultaneous transits with your girl? ... oh no.

This is where you find out who is really-really on your support team.
T-Square... with Saturn Chiron Moons. I've heard the Saturn square Chiron being a 'shadow work' type of aspect. Will be on and off all next year??

Lets hope that Neptune in Pisces might raise the level of empathy and forgiveness.

Keep the faith in yourself, and give others the benefit of the doubt when and where you can.

Heh... Mercury is retro. They won't go too far for now.... They'll be back? Venus will also go retro this year in Aries, then dip back into Pisces...

Stressful combos of Saturn and Venus? ouch... more isolative hurts.

Pisces is sextile Capricorn. Maybe with Venus into Pisces today (just checked-- 00.00 Pisces! yay), and the stellium of planets there now, something good can come out of it.

Watch out for intensity with Sun-Pluto this weekend. AND the Full Moon Cancer 22.

Take care...and goodnight.

I just came through this. Sometimes in the worst of feelings, all that tides me over is the thought, "This can't last forever, it's gonna change soon."

Hope you feel better fast.

Electro,

I suspect it's your surroundings that are the problem and not you. And it makes me so sad. It speaks poorly for society in general, that a person as brilliant and caring as you would feel unsupported or overwhelmed.

Hope you are feeling better now!

Hope all of us keep getting better.

Hey Faith, sending a hug back your way.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I think yours just passed too so happy belated birthday to you.

What worries me the most is that the transit goes until early October for me or so. And I have so much to take care of as far as work goes and I relocating and balancing family/friends.

I was reading up on tr Saturn square moon in advance of my transit. I saw that I was going to be lonely and unpopular. Gulp. Not the best-tasting pill to swallow, but it does help, to know that. So I have felt rejected in some little ways and some big ways, and all the time part of me is giggling because "this is so true, the unpopularity stuff." Well I HOPE it's not a permanent situation, but even if it was...if people don't want to hang around me, that's fine, I know who my real friends are. And I am my own friend, too (with thanks to the spiritual authors and advisors I pay attention to, who insist on this!) ....Was I just babbling? Yeah I think so, but hardly anyone reads these brick-type paragraphs so it's no biggie. Talk to you later!

May I quote? Well, I just did!

Because I was just thinking along those lines. Saturn want what's best for us. If those people don't dig ya than their bad! I for one really like you!
My daughter will soon experience this transit, she just had Sat conjunct Sun. If that was not enough with all the disease and new structures, she survived and will with this transit. Working with it is best. Go with the flow and observe your feelings. Where does it come from? Can you let go, not? Why not? So it's actually a very interesting time as well. I am sure when you're in it you cannot (always) see it. Like Faith said, it does help you when you know the theme. Breathe, take it easy don't ask too much of yourself. Good is good enough. I can see for people who are perfectionists it's tough. They've attached
themselves with all these rules. Clearance of the emotional clutter. You will survive and please do come here to complain and talk about it!! If that helps!! Well at least I will be reading it and sending you support!

A friend of ours is going through it and this was her last hit. She is going through therapy with her partner (they have a kid). He has cheated on her and a lot else is not good in their relationship. Just this week, her sister in law died of cancer. It was horrible. I was wondering why she acts so cold on my sweet messages but I thought she must feel so ****** . And then I opened this thread. It's like she can't help herself probably. If it was me I would act so different but she is not me, that's what I am learning now. She needs love, we all do. So, self love again here is key. Learning to nurture self and love yourself like you are your your true love, you actually are! And if that doesn't work just try again the next day. Cry, moan, be depressed but let it flow and don't judge your feelings. THey are there to flow. It's the judging that hurts right? I will look up my own transits now and come back to tell you something more. It does matter how the planets involved are natally aspected right? I have checked this transit before and thought it didn't really affect me as much. I will look again.

If it's any consolation, I'm still having many moments of happiness with Saturn squaring my moon. Sometimes what it requires is to just keep running "scans" on myself: "Is anything bothering me? Is it serious? Can I afford to throw this overboard and not give it my attention anymore? YES. Okay, I'm free of that, and wow, I feel so much lighter now."

Saturn doesn't always win the stand-off. Sometimes there is a turning of tables of the moon against Saturn, where the moon is saying "Buzz off for real, I'm dancing here!" And the moon wins. But it takes conscious effort. And the transit can be a good opportunity to strengthen those muscles, and to appreciate every little thing that does NOT suck. Like "Yum, my favorite meal, at least things are not sucking now... "

And, having faith that things do get better.

Sorry if I sound like I'm coaching you, but you know, I'm older than you. Taking you under my wing.

No, not at all. I appreciate this very much that I actually took a screen shot of your post to remind me of this. It's encouraging to hear a way to seek out the positive aspects of this transit. I keep telling myself I've had hard transits to my moon from Saturn before so I'm alive now but going through it was difficult. Of course, with everything that accompanied it.

I've just started recently making up lists of things in my personal life I'd like to get back into. Like reading, and enjoying time with my nieces and nephews. I think that's such a Saturn/moon lesson as much as it's a Capricorn Sun lesson. That whole take time out to make sure home life is good.

And. I did forget you are a January baby. I wanna take a guess at Jan 9th or close. I just know you're an Aquarius mercury Cap Sun.

Aww thanks Sylven, I appreciate this so much too. These seems like such simple things but they mean so much. And maybe that is a part of the lesson is usually the simple things in life matter the most.

Also, quick note. Who in the world would think Faith unpopular? I've always been a big fan. And she knows.

Edit: off topic. Faith, my Sag venus must square or conjunct something in your chart because I find myself like this with you all the time and sometimes I can't keep myself from doing it!
