Oh God this thread made me curious about 2020. So not only is that the year I have my Saturn Return, but when Saturn is exactly conjunct my natal Saturn, transiting Pluto will ALSO be conjunct my n.Saturn by 2°06a!!!! AHHHH I'M SCARED WHY ME WHY DO I GET THE SH*TTY SATURN RETURN.

The positives though.. t. Uranus will be conjunct my n. Mercury (I have a natal trine), and the transiting NN in Cancer will be conjunct my n.Jupiter so hopefully.. it will be a productive time. To say the least.

Actually that Pluto/Saturn conjunction will be trine my ASC/Sun under a 3° orb so.. I guess that could be awesome if I really open my heart up for transformation

You were right, and I had no idea!

also my Solar Return that year has a Mercury-Jupiter-conjunction on my natal ASC, with Mercury and Jupiter ruling my DESC and ASC natally, and being the traditional ruler of the Solar return ASC and DESC as well as of IC and MC as well.

Curiously Solar Return DESC this year will be exact on my natal Juno.

@athenaia

Hilarious

So sorry, though, I didn't mean to encourage people to go looking for bad news. My own perspective is that it's impossible to know how these charts will play out, at least for those of us who are amateurs. Some of my progressions, transits, SR charts that look *good* have been the worst, and vice versa.

Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn could be strengthening. Backbone of steel. Who doesn't want that?

Keeps me wondering, always, when I hear "this or that `looks good`."

What does really constitute a "good Solar Return/ synastry/ composites" etc.?

I think we are still in figuring-out-mode to be honest.

Mmm hmmmmmm

We won't say outright what we're thinking.

You're a free-spirited Sag, so...we'll let you believe you will remain that way.

Wow, I love that you actually try and imagine the details. I haven't tried that....I just look at these charts and smile, frown, or scrunch my face wondering "What IS this?" And I haven't looked beyond 2019 because I like to think that might dramatically change me, give me a new perspective, and whatever happens beyond that will reflect the change.

I've never had tr Uranus opp Venus, and never will, but it sounds interesting. Good luck with it

I have. I checked to see when it happened for me, it was back in 2008, and it was when I had my first relationship and heartbreak. That was when Tr. Uranus in Pisces was opposite my Venus in Virgo by less then 1.5 degrees. It was a relationship that I'd call quite ugly and in shambles, full of deceit and I guess the break up was out of the blue and came as a shock to me as I didn't see it coming (maybe Uranus?), though knew something was wrong. A lot of people were gossiping about our relationship and when I was told this I felt exposed and betrayed. Years later I found out that the reason why my relationship was such a juicy topic was because my then boyfriend had the reputation for being quite the player (which I had no idea about, otherwise I would have avoided him like the plague).

And then at other times they may do. lol

Well my pr chart will have pr Moon in Libra that year applying to conjunct Pluto and trine pSun. NOt sure that is important. oh and of course also conjunct my MC.

However my pASC will also be on 15-16 Capricorn, which puts the pDESC onto my natal Saturn. Of course Saturn is the chartruler of my progresssed chart and falling onto the DESC then.

Whatever that means, maybe this current year will be a "rehearsal" or giving a preview, as I am going to have pSaturn exact conjunct pDESC on 13 Cancer around April exact I think.

Interestingly this year I am going to have tr Saturn on my Sun-Mercury, and as you pointed out in 2019 it will be Tr Jupiter there (of course at the same time Tr Saturn will conjunct my Venus - and this time it IS a dispositor conjunction, just in terms of Venus, not the luminaries. )

EDIT
Sorry I was wrong. Tr Saturn will be conjunct n Venus next year.

I loved Tr Uranus on my Venus (Tr Jupiter was opposing it from the other side). Really I was having the time of my life - at least I thought so then. But I was only 15 at that time anyway. It was a rather bizarre way of having one`s time of ones life, but hey it worked for me, I really really enjoyed that year. And mourned for it for many years after it was over. (it was over when Tr Uranus-Neptune started opposing my Saturn - NO fun at all)

For those of us born in the later half of the year, does the previous year's solar return count?

For instance, for 2020, my solar return for 2019 will still be active for most of the year. So do I look at both?

both.

The previous one is valid until your birthday, the 2019 one from your birthday in 2019.

2019 - Saturn return (with a heaping dose of transiting Pluto conjunction thrown in there) in my 12th house.

2021 - progressed Aries ASC!

2022 - Saturn conjunct my ASC/crossing over my ASC and into my 1st house. Also, progressed Leo moon!

2023 - Transiting Uranus trine my Sun

2032 - Pluto crossing over my ASC and into my 1st house

Hmm.. In the year of my Saturn return, Pluto will square my Sun exactly. Jupiter/Saturn also, but at a wider orb. In fact, all the upcoming solar returns up until Saturn Return have these three squaring the Sun at different levels of closeness.

Major changes in order perhaps?

Hi Faith,

How are you doing?

For me it's my next year's solar chart that cough my interest because even though the aspects remain the same no matter where in the world you celebrate your birthday, the houses change. I happened to spend 10 days in another country for my birthday so now I just wonder which solar return chart will work..probably the 2nd (sigh). And I Really want it to be the first one! You'll know what I mean when you look at them. So it remains to be seen how my year will go, which course it will take (if any! ) of these two).

This is where I spent my Bday, but this is also in the country where I was born and lived until my teenage years.

I had this when I was about six. My hair turned from silky blonde to thick and brown so suddenly, it was an existential crisis. I mean nobody warned me I could lose my blonde curls. And it seemed people liked me less without them.

Tr moon conjunct my sun and Pluto now, so, of course I'm whining.

Pr moon conjunct natal Pluto....yes, I have that coming up soon, too. I had a bad experience with that the first time around; not going to think of it.

For now I'm just wondering about this pr full moon of mine in a few months. Pr moon currently @ 16 Virgo. I think I can already feel it. Seems like my emotions are sharpening.

I love this list, so tidy, and also, sparse enough to leave plenty to the imagination.

I'm old enough that I don't want to think about the 2030s.

Good luck Elysia I know you can make the best of it. Though, sun square Pluto is exhausting...I'm a lifetime survivor.

I had sun square Pluto exact in my SR when I was a toddler. Tried to die many different ways, it seems. Always falling down stairs (two concussions that way) and having weird random accidents, like taking my brother's seizure medicine. My pr moon was in Aries, t-squaring my sun and Pluto, though. I just did whatever I wanted.

I KNOW you will handle this better.
