How can you tell/point out a house intercepted in a chart? Examples?I am having a hard time with this. Is it when a sign repeats a house

An intercepted house is a house that overlaps a sign. For example, my Second House cusp is on the 29th degree of Scorpio, but it ends with my 3rd house Cusp being in Capricorn. Sagittarius is completely overlapped and doesn't cusp a house. The same will be present with the opposite sign. ------------------
Scorpio Ascendant
Aquarius Sun in 4th
Gemini Moon in 8th

But what if you got planets in that sign or house? For an example my 5th and 11th house are intercepted, but I got pluto and venus in scorpio in the 5th house (nothing in the 11th though) IP: Logged |

According to some astrologers, planets in an intercepted house are supposedly harder to access and more difficult to be in touch with. They are "closed off" in this sort of essence. In my experience, this has not been the case and many of times people have planets in intercepted houses that they still can feel. I have Moon in the 8th and Pluto in the 2nd, and I can feel both energies even though they're in intercepted houses. I like to see the main focus of an interception as the lack of that sign cusping the house, which presents the struggle. Look into that. ------------------

I have an intercepted axis. The intercepted houses contain an entire sign within them. I have Capricorn and Cancer completely contained in my intercepted houses. For me, I have the 2nd-8th axis intercepted. It is very difficult for me to relate to my South Node in Cancer in 8th house, but occasionally the contained sign's energy is compensated for in the chart and becomes a lot easier to access. Like, for example, I have Sun square Saturn, which for me makes it much easier to express Capricorn traits than you'd expect. Progressions can make it easier to express the energy too. Overall, however, planets in intercepted houses are still felt, just not as easily accessed.IP: Logged |

 In the above example Capricorn is intercepted in the 2H and Cancer in the 8H. Taurus is in two houses the 7H and 6H and Scorpio is in 2 houses the 12H and 1H. Interestingly Bjork is a singer and Saturn ruling capricorn in her 2H is intercepted falling in the 3H and she has made a lot of money as a singer/artist and is famous. Venus is ruling two houses for her, is like she used her strength (venus) to turn her intercepted sign (cap in the 2H with Saturn falling in the 3H) into a strength. Perhaps with Saturn in the 3H communication is challenging for her but with Venus ruling two houses she turned her weakness into a strength by using music as a way to communicate. Saturn rules longevity and she has chosen to communicate with art and singing and has left a lasting mark in the world doing this. I did read that intercepted signs are hidden gifts, she is a good example of this working out very favorably for her. IP: Logged |
