Just for my own research can you tell me the sign on your IC, if you had any planets conjunct there, and whether you grew up in a poor or rich family? Thanks!

I have my IC in Aquarius. My Mercury, Neptune, Sun (exact conjunction), and Uranus are conjunct my IC and my Sun, Uranus, and Venus are in the 4th house.

I grew up in a middle class family. I was neither poor or rich; I was lucky for I was able to get a lot of the things I wanted but my family also had trouble financially at times. We moved twice, once when I was a baby and once in 2007. We have a lot of material possessions as a family and are currently remodeling the house.

Scorpio IC, Uranus, NN

We had money-then we didn't. We had money-then we didn't. We had money-then we didn't. Repeat this until I stopped caring at the age of 17 and moved out..

My IC is in Scorpio. I have Pluto (in Scorpio) on my IC. They are not conjuncted.

I grew up First World poor. Life wasn't easy but I can't complain and consider myself lucky.

what if your other siblings & parents all share diff IC yet you all live together. however 1 family member became much more successful. in material gain. not my interest though. he was a 6th house sun i believe that is why.

Scorpio - we have nothing. Lol
but we always found ways to survive (Pluto-Jupiter in 4th), always had lots of (our own) art in the house, awesome furniture gotten for cheap, etc (Venus conjunct IC in 4th).
But yeah, no money whatsoever

Interesting thread but I don't see how the sign itself could really tell this, but I could be wrong lol

IC in Aquarius, middle class, both of my parents are humanitarian and not very materialistic. My mother is a doctor but was a pediatrician and never did private practice, she organized a few medical and spiritual missions involving several developing countries. I was definitely not spoiled. Christmas was not about the presents and I never believed in Santa, my parents did not want me to feel disappointed when I found out the truth. However my basic and emotional needs were always met and I always felt save at home.

My Uranus conjuncts jupiter exact in Sag and does not form any other aspects.

My IC is in Aries. I have no idea how to tell what planets aspect the IC. Astro.com wasn't any help.

I grew up extremely poor. I literally searched dumpsters for food in order to survive. The good news is that poverty was an excellent motivator when it came to taking school seriously.

I've worked my way to the upper middle class.

I have an empty 4H and nothing aspecting it. Pisces is on my IC.

When I was born, we were poor but not in deep poverty or living on the streets or anything. But by the time I started kindergarden, I was middle class. My parents divorced, and currently my father makes 3 figures and my mother is making ends meet, and living comfortable. As far as the rest of my family (aunt, cousins, grandparents) I don't know of anybody in the family that has experienced severe poverty. Everyone got by somehow.

[Don't quote]

Leo IC - Mars in the 4H
(square Sun, Moon, Venus, NN and Jupiter in 6H)

I grew up in a well-off family. We were never really rich but we weren't poor either. Let's say middle-class. This is mostly because of my mother - she is the entrepreneur and ambitious one in the family. All the "family wealth" comes from her. My father is unambitious (dare I say lazy) and has never been about making money. He can satisfy himself with the bare minimum and what he makes he keeps for himself. There is this annoying quality in my family (which is a major gripe for me as a principle) where my mother's money is "shared" and my father's money is "his" - like the 2H/8H axis.

In the past few years (after I became an adult/after 18) I think we climbed the ladder a bit because from time to time I would bring in my own money and my mother would receive larger paychecks. I still think we're middle class or at least barely upper-middle.

I do have to note that I'm from an Eastern Bloc country so the economic weather here has been very volatile - when I was born (the time socialism fell apart) there was a crisis and everyone was was dirt poor. In the 2000's when I grew up it was "normal" and after 2010 until now it's "slightly better".

To me well-off is not middle class. To me that term indicates atleast middle upper class but I would even say I associate well off with been rich. If your household income after taxes is in the 3 digits I would say that would put you as at least upper middle class:

"The upper middle class grew to 29.4% of the population in 2014, up from 12.9% in 1979, according to a new Urban Institute report. It defines this group as having household income of between $100,000 and $350,000 for a three-person family."

I would tend to agree. The problem is middle class is hard to define and varies from location to location.

Which makes it difficult to plan what kind of social services should the working poor/ vulnerable members of society to receive and how to properly tax everyone else.

I know your in the US so my example may or may not be similar. But in Canada it varies greatly a family of four living in Toronto or Vancouver has an average household income of $100,000 and is therefore considered middle class.

But compared to the rest of country a middle class is a household income is considered above $75,000 or what would be considered lower-middle class income.

So based on that classification scheme anyone who is middle class living in Toronto or Vancouver is considered wealthy to other places in the country.

Which I wouldn't agree.

My IC is in Taurus.

I don't consider myself wealthy, but I do consider myself fortunate.

My mom is really good at finance, budgeting and banking.

My dad is a spender, so its a constant battle between my mom and my dad.

My Dad wants to spend without thinking the consequences and my mom always finds ways to finance them.

In the end since there both Cancers so they always want to provide the most they can.

The problem is when they hold preconceived or wrong ideas of what I need and require (Aries Moon Child) then it turns into a waste of money.

For example all I ever wanted was for my school to be completed and with a bit of determination be on my way.

They provide everything else and even go beyond that, bought me a new car, but its my schooling I really require not tangible things that aren't meant to last.

IC Aquarius, square Pluto, chart ruler

Short story: very rich, very poor

Long story:

Mom came from an indigenous/self-described "white trash" background (sorry for the slur, that's what I heard growing up from her). She grew up in a foster home run by her mother and stepfather, who were not extra awesome all the time. I haven't seen my maternal grandmother since i was 12...

My mom looked after the other kids and they often didn't have things like good shoes, she says. She found respite in school with teachers who inspired her, etc. She now has a grant to write a semi fictional autobiography. She's a university professor and is awesome. Still struggles with money, generous to a fault...

My Dad was a lawyer and much more frugal.. much more wealthy also. I loved him. Still do.

His Mom was a Gaunt, descended from duke John of Gaunt (the great great grandfather of King Henry VIII I hear?).. My Dad's Dad was descended from Mayflower people, both his father and mother actually. My grandad was a neurosurgeon, infamous for being strict. I guess uh have to be if you're operating on brains. This makes me think of my Virgo South Node. My gran went to finishing school and died with Alzheimers disease. She was very kind to me always, graceful and lovely.

I grew up in a mansion by the river half time, with my mom in an apartment the other half.

The mansion is torn down now.

Jupiter is in my 8th conjunct vertex, and rules my second house by interception.

Uranus is in my 2nd and so is Saturn (IC rulers); they are conjunct. Uranus 28 Sag, Saturn 0 Cap

My IC is at 29° of Virgo. Square Neptune, loosely conjunct Ceres and opposite Jupiter.

I grew up in a working-class family. After my parents divorced, my mom, my older sister and I moved several times and struggled financially, but we always had a roof in our heads and food on our table. Things improved with time and now we're something between low middle class and middles class, that is from an "in development country" perspective.

Thanks everyone for your replies! Still looking for a few more signs so keep em coming! I'll go as well: My IC is in Cancer, opposite Neptune. The first half of my child we were wealthy and then we weren't because my parents became addicted to drugs (neptune). Never a shortage of cancer things like love, food and traditions though.

Cancer I.C

Each of my siblings have grown up in different ways. I feel like our descriptions of growing up would vary. Some are dependent while my brother and I had to kind of figure life out for ourselves, must be a Capricorn thing. I think we grew up comfortable, middle class. We always had what we needed for the most part, my parents always figured out a way to do that...A lot of times the bills were late. We moved a lot. No matter where we moved though, it always felt like home.

I was also very close with my mom growing up, she was my best friend until my teenage years.
