We are currently in the shadow of Venus before it goes RX."The accepted rules for Venus retrograde are to not start a new relationship or to marry, and to not spend big money. However, the fortunate fixed star makes Venus retrograde 2017 a promising time for dating and for relationships which began before March 4." http://astrologyking.com/venus-retrograde/ This article is really good and has great info on the upcoming Venus Retrograde. What is it doing on your chart?! IP: Logged |

It will go RX trine my natal Leo Moon. But it will also pass over the point where it squares my natal NN and Venus Rx @ 2°Cancer, and the progressed @ 0° Can. three times in total. So, who knows?IP: Logged |

Usually every Venus retrograde my ex pops up. I have no intention of talking to him anymore and maybe because he comes up during these times there has to be some karmic closure. Everything else is just potential love interests that hardly moves forward to something more**edit to add** it's usually my hesitation to start anything and the fear it won't work out but this feeling happens on non-retrograde transits as well. it's just the venus retrogrades makes the problem more prominent if you know what i mean.. Oh great! But thanks Hypatia, this is the need to know info. So is it as bad as Mercury retrograde only regarding matters of love? With Mercury R - don't travel, don't plan too much etc etc and with Venus - what? Don't fall in love? )) don't start the relationship. That translates into 'make them wait', 'play hard to get'. But hell..this phase is so long (mar 6 - apr 15) that it's going to be more like 'play Imposiible to get' rather than 'hard to get' (sigh) lol I just checked which house Venus will be passing in my chart. 7th. Whyyy oh why?? There's going to be a conjunction to Dsc, then Venus will spend some of the retrograde phase in 7H and then move back into 6H. ALL this R phase Venus will also be in trine with my Uranus (5H ruler) and Uranus is transiting my 7H. Thanks again Hypatia, I didn't even realise I had all this going on until you made me curious to check what Venus is doing in my transits. Only now I don't know what to make of it all? It's like everything is favourable for new relationship but because Venus is in retrograde phase that relationship is bound to fail, eventually. IP: Logged |

^^^bound to fail? I think one of our professional astrologers here, Kannon McAfee, found his wife during Venus retrograde. So who knows... Maybe it depends on the chart. the article the OP linked was very good. I want to add that this particular Venus retro shadow phase starts while Venus is exalted in Pisces. So that tells me that it shouldn't be as bad as people think. even if Saturn in Sagg is making a square to it. Venus is in a favorable sign. Saturn is not at home in Sagg. IP: Logged |

That is not Kannon love, she used him as an example of someone who met their wife during venus RX. IP: Logged |

If a relationship is destined to fail, then it will fail. If it is meant to last, then it will last. The Venus retrograde just makes problems in a relationship more obvious in my experience. That can actually be a good thing while you are dating since you will be able to spot problems in the relationship more easily and you can make a decision about whether these are problems that you want to work through or whether it would be best to break up. If you meet someone wonderful during venus retrograde, then don't hesitate to date them unless you have a bad feeling about them, Enjoy them. Don't act disinterested because they will simply walk away and you will lose a great relationship.

I think CapCap is being funny / is likely genuinely interested in knowing. Kannon is on hiatus/vacation as far as I can recall. I think he takes astrology breaks, and I feel like he mentioned it would be several months' duration a little while back. Probably wise! IP: Logged |

Thanks! Yes I just wanted to know if him and his wife are still together. People are too serious. I don't really let astrology dictate my life but I do observe what works and what doesn't, that's how I learn. And the ratio is 50-50, that's why astrology will always remain nothing more than a hobby to me. Results are never guaranteed. I notice that people's perception of me here is either 1) they think I'm here to say astrology doesn't work or 2) they think I'm an astrology fanatic and see no grey, only black and white. But neither is me IP: Logged |

Oh, this is all just my talk. I think if it actually came to it, if I was really interested and enamored by a person then I wouldn't be able to stay away from them. IP: Logged |

It's in my 8th trine my Jupiter (1'20a) and Pluto (0'35 a), I don't think this is going to go over so well since I just lost my job and don't have enough for rent... but who knows. Man, money is the worstIP: Logged |

It will station in a tight square to my Saturn, then end in a trine to my Venus--so I will feel it heavily in my Cancer house (7th)--I find Venus transit energy irritating anyway. I guess if I start preparing for all of it now, maybe I can deepen my meditation practice or something. It stations on my ex's Sun. IP: Logged |

I am Taurus and my ruling planet is venus, so I am definitely feeling the effects of it. IP: Logged |

I felt a little heavy in the head for the past two days. Like sort of an evaluation of myself and people around me. I am usually peaceful. I feel peaceful. The venus retrogade might be a little strange for Taureans, because venus is the ruling planet there, so with anyone in Sun in Taurus might need to be a little careful, or maybe other aspects would rule this out.
