Hi, What aspects/placements in a chart(or transits) might cause someone to want to change careers completely? I enjoy the type of work I do but for about 3 or 4 years I have had this feeling I should be doing something else. Something that helps others, other than helping my colleagues with their work i don't feel I really do that with my current job. I didn't pursue a new path because either I couldn't afford to go back and study or just plain fear. What in a chart might cause this restlessness? or what transit might trigger it? Thank you Pls dnt quote IP: Logged |

Hey LeeLoo, I am fine thanks, hope you're well too. That is fine no rush I have no transits to my MC but I realised after posting that about 4/5 years ago pluto was squaring my MC ruler - the Sun and its on my 11th/12th cusp. I have been feeling this way for quite sometime about that time actually. After posting and reading both your suggestions i had some ponderings I also had my saturn return in Nov '12, I hadnt thought about it being work related as it's in my first house. But I see house saturn itself would relate to work/career. Saturn is widely conjuncting my asc and my chart ruler is in the 10th conj my 6/7th ruler. Uranus is also transiting my 6th and will soon hit my desc - my 6th and 7th house ruler is in the 10th. NN will hit my 6/7th house ruler in a couple mths - perhaps i will finally take action on it. I guess collectively they contribute. Thanks both pls dnt quote IP: Logged |

I have Neptune over mc right now and I think it coincides with feeling spiritually unfulfilled in your chosen career. Neptune dissolves and the 10th house is your career, father, social standing etcIP: Logged |

Neptune aspecting your midheaven can take your career into different twists and turns or cause you to change your career altogether. I changed my career around 23-24. All I remember is I had Pluto in the 12th house and if I remember correctly, neptune was transiting my saturn. My natal Saturn is in Scorpio in the 10th house. If you do make a career change, I would do it BEFORE the Saturn Return if possible. Put all of the work in now to make your Saturn Return easier. Do not wait until 29-30 to make changes. It's harder to make changes as you get older because you have more responsibility. IP: Logged |

My first saturn return happened over 4 years ago. I guess have been feeling like this since around that time. Also around that time Tr Pluto was squaring my Sun. I guess these transits triggered these thoughts. I am very indecisive, i like the type of work i do, but in the back of my head i feel i should be doing something else.Uranus is tr my 6th house my 6th and 7th house ruler is mars and is in my 10th conj my chart ruler, venus. I have a 1st house saturn. It been a long thought process though not so much a sudden thing. So im wondering if there will be a transit that triggers me taking action. I am fearful about changing. Thanks all Pls dnt quote IP: Logged |

Totally agree with Saturn.Especially tSaturn conj nUranus. Chances are you will desire a new job and want to break free, but responsibility will hold you back. This is a real conflict. Transit Jupiter making an aspect to both Uranus and the 10th house ruler will be really favourable to changing jobs for the better. IP: Logged |

I have heard that Uranus can indicate career change such as Uranus transiting the 2H, 6H or 10H.Or Transit Uranus aspecting your 2H ruler, 6H ruler or 10H ruler. IP: Logged |

Neptune arching to conjunct or square the MC/IC could motivate one to get in touch with their internal selves and do what really matters to the soul within. It could also give one the sense of wanting to do something "meaningful" with their life etc. IP: Logged |

When I started to feel this way, Saturn was transiting my Virgo stellium & squaring my MC. I started to feel like I needed to be doing something more useful & that I wanted to be of service to people, and to have a useful skill. So I became a nurse. Now that Saturn is transiting my 10th house, I have some restlessness. I keep debating whether or not to go back to school or if I just need to start working towards a different specialty. For now, I just keep working & gaining more experience. No quoting please. Uranus transiting 10th house will make you want to change careers. Uranus transiting 10th lord.. I could also make you feel like it, but probably wouldn't be strong enough to make you do it unless there are other indicators. IP: Logged |

Astrodienst (sp?) think the site link is astro.com You can make a free account. Also you are allowed to save I believe 15 charts for free. Bobsastrology also offers good explanation of transits base on planets. IP: Logged |

Uranus will trine my MC the same time Saturn will conjunct it. Pluto will sextile my Venus too. So I hope that means getting that job I've always wanted or at least advance in career making a little bit more money.IP: Logged |

General You said the last 3-4 years, which means it is too long for any planets, but Neptune or Pluto in transit to a single point of your birth chart. It can be a tip to look at transits involving the 6th house (or its cusp). That could be from one of the outer planets Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. It could also be one or more of those in transit to your natal Nodes. Restlessness is generally a keyword for Uranus (in transit) or for another planet like Pluto in transit to natal Mercury or Uranus, etc. Another possibility are those planets in transit through the 10th (or to its cusp). Specific Assuming your chart's Asc is accurate at 26° Libra, you have had Uranus in transit through your 6th for the last few years. That lone is enough to account for what you describe. So you were right on target with your own assessment. More specifically ... I hope you will take a look at any cell phone/android you've been using, if it has been kept on for long period, and consider if it has been triggering unnecessary restlessness. Uranus in 6th also indicates personal bodily health matters. So don't overlook the effect of electronics on your health. Uranus is headed towards parallel to your natal Venus, so you will likely meet a key person to highlight your better choices and path forward. In addition Pluto's transit has recently been quincunx natal North Node and exactly parallel natal Uranus [21S14]. So you can see how a number of these factors have roughly coincided for you. The Pluto to Node/Uranus transits are unavoidable calls to adjust your life for your essential personal development. Consider yourself and life course apart from the needs of any current co-workers. Since everyone goes through Saturn returns at basically the same age, they are not the deciding factor in career changes. Otherwise it would be common knowledge among the broader population of non-astrologers that such changes occur at around age 29.The Saturn return is a maturity re-set for personal responsibility and capacity, ensuring a reconsideration of your own path apart from parental or societal expectations. It can mean ending responsibilities or goals that are not true to who you are. That does not mean changing your line of work necessarily. It can also mean the end of a particular line of karmic engagement, but by itself does not urge or require changing one's line of work. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Rising Sign Descriptions | Expert rectification ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓ IP: Logged |
