Please don't quote!!!

I've been thinking lately that perhaps Pluto represents enemies? Not all enemies you'll ever face, but like, the biggest challenge, biggest betrayal/lie you'll have to overcome in your life?

Pluto being a karmic planet, do you ever feel like Pluto in the natal chart can represent your ultimate downfall, the betrayal of someone or just representing events and circumstances which are ultimately at fault for your undoing?

Again, I don't think Pluto= all enemies you'll ever face.

The way I see Pluto is...Like your ultimate enemy. You know, a once in a lifetime type of enemy who turns your life upside down.

Not necessarily a human enemy either.

Tell me where your Pluto is, which house and how you feel the effect of Pluto in this context.

Do you think this theory works for you? Do you have a theory of your own?

I'd love to her it all!

I think Pluto = bullying,
don't you think?
I have it in my 6th (conjunct Desc). I encounter difficulty at work, with other people. I am just minding my business, being all effective. But they manage to make me feel stressed.

Hmm...that's an interesting theory, but it doesn't apply to me. My Pluto is in Scorpio in the 10th house. I've never been betrayed at work (knock on wood!) or by Scorpios/Plutonic people.

Instead, I've been betrayed in my personal life by Sag women (Sag is the sign of my 12th house of hidden enemies).

By the way, I'm curious: why is that a number of users such as yourself, always include the line "please don't quote?" I don't mean this as criticism. I'm merely curious.

@Astra

No worries

I'm sure you've noticed the format of this forum- if you post something you can delete it later, but if someone quotes you then only they can delete it.

I think your house of Pluto is where you will have a lot of ups and downs and you will be kind of forced to either USE your personal power or abdicate it. I don't think the house of Pluto can be a vanilla house lol

@Astra

If this theory isn't relevant for you, then what role do you feel Pluto's house placement plays in your life?

What about celebrities you've been fascinated with or people you know?

@whaat:

Oh! Ok, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying that for me.

I have both Pluto and Saturn in Scorpio in my 10th house. Saturn is also my chart ruler, which really intensifies things. Pluto aspects a lot of my planets (moon, venus, mars, neptune) and conjuncts my midheaven, so it is very dominant in my chart. My life (personal and professional) consists of a lot of sudden change--both good and bad:

1) I didn't have a lot growing up, but the first few years of my life were very peaceful and happy, but my life suddenly fell apart when my father abandoned me and I had to dig through garbage in order to find food. I went from having a happy childhood to one that was filled with danger and an obsession with survival. Thankfully, I managed to work my way up from rock bottom and now I have a more comfortable life as an adult

2) I initially worked as a chemist in a lab, but switched careers very suddenly at 23 and pursued a nursing degree. I now work as a nurse in the coronary intensive care unit. By the end of my second year, I became a Charge Nurse (i.e. supervisor).

As an example, some people find it nessisary to go the extra mile to find out personal information like about conversations that should be private, then want to take the information to make jokes infront of you while thinking I don't catch on to it. I usually ignore this because in alot of ways I feel very sorry for the person, they have no life and so therefore need to borrow mine. Also to make jokes about it obviously comes from thier own misery, I hate thier life sucks so bad that they need to use mine to feel better about thiers. Poor things!!!

I don't think it literally represents enemies, but I do think it can bring people and situations to you that has that 'Plutonian' vibe

For example, I have Pluto in 11H, and EVERY time I associate myself with a big group of people (15+ people), it always ends sour. Usually, there's a few people in the group that end up being extremely shady and drama ensues.

Three of those groups were huge life-changing experiences for me though, as in the cause that they pertained to (for example, one of them was volunteering abroad)

pluto in 10th. public people can be REALLY stingy. i feel weird in public. uncomfortable. even to squirrels. i feel like a figure. a figure others take highly but they dont like it. treat me as a suspected threat. or a grievance. i dont know what pluto in first would be. yourself feels like you annoy people? actually i heard justin bieber has it. makes sense. his sense of self can be a bit too strong/intimidating/abdominable but in a bad/annoying way.

But I love vanilla!

Especially when it resides in Pluto's house (that being the fifth)

And not just of bourbon anymore (double eyebrow quirk insert)

Natal Pluto in the 10th house brings instant karma.

It's an extremely strong placement, so people probably react strongly to it.

Mine is in 5th - don't have experience from lovers being mean,but knowing ... Actualy wait,the guys I allways reeeeally liked were kinda ... I don't know,I wouldn't say mean,but they would manage to hurt me in this or that way :/ but then Again everyone around me does that...idk about calling them enemies tho. Now I often joke that I don't have luck in gamble,and I see the interprtation for pluto in 5th often mentions loss from gamble. When it comes to celebs with this placement http://www.astrotheme.com/celebrities/pluto/m5/1.htm

I have Pluto conjunct MC, but from the ninth house. But I halos have Mars/Saturn conjunct the MC in the 10th. I can't really tell what's what.

How would you interpret Pluto conjunct MC from the ninth?

I have Pluto in the 11th H in Scorpio.
It aspects a lot of my planets as well...

From what I've gathered is that my friends tend to be more controlling and are very close friends, as in friends for life. And I have a aversion to groups, probably because they lack the intensity you get with one on one encounters.

I've heard weird interpretations about Pluto in the 11th that we will have a strong influence on people and could potentially be a cult leader, but not the case with me

12the house actually represents hidden enemies, and the 7th house represents open enemies, Pluto doesn't really have anything to do with enemies. It is the power planet, it gives and takes ruthlessly. You will experience growth through pain and struggle, but Pluto will destroy anything that tries to fight it's lesson, it is devoted to making you see your true potential. That is Pluto to me.

I wanted to quote you but remembered just how sensitive everyone is now about being quoted

I empathize with your Pluto in 6th. I have Mars in 6th and my work environment always feels so hot and stressful.

I have it in 9H, conjunct Sun/Moon midpoint, so a sensitive point. I can definitely see it in my prolonged years of studying at uni, and writing a thesis has proven to be one of most frustrating things in my life, I'm stuck, my confidence is slowly fading away, and although I've been a really capable student, I now don't feel like one. I have really hard transits right now. Besides that I can also see Pluto as my strong ideals and values, a definite deal breaker in relationships, I have grown a strong moral system since being a student.

I wouldn't say Pluto is my enemy, I think it's the friend that says it to your face, whatever others don't dare, and you have to overcome it, and grow stronger during the challenge.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that

It's just messed up that anyone has to resort to something like that. Sometimes I just hate this world.

@Astra

But it does make sense astrologically how you experience Pluto and Saturn in the 10th. Saturn must have blocked you from advancing in your career and social status (I think I read somewhere that the 10th is also that?) but with Pluto there you've managed to overcome it and start a new life.

Looking at it like that Pluto seems less like 'the enemy' and more like a source of personal power.

Thanks for being so frank and sharing your story so we could make these fascinating connections!
