Does anyone have experience with this, especially in the 5th house? It seems to me that Mars and Chiron sharing a house would be especially painful because the person is actively pursuing their deepest wound, almost masochistically pouring salt on it. IP: Logged |

GREAT question. I agree I find the Chiron in the 5th to be very hard because, for me, creativity was my escape, but all Chiron houses are hard, really. I have it in the 4th and had a very hard mother, but you are very right about Chiron and Mars in the same house, S. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Welcome to Lindaland sashavittoria! It could manifest with anger issues that are hard to understand their origin...Healing work around anger but if they are not conjuncting I am not sure it would manifest that way. Hard to express your anger or pain maybe, using creativity to channel anger and pain. IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone! Yeah, Hypatia, I think that's definitely what's going on with my friend who has this. It seems to cause a lot of self-destruction in early life!IP: Logged |

I have Mars conjunct Chiron in the 10th, & additionally both oppose Saturn in the 4th. That's an interesting take on it. Chasing pain, as it were. If you switch it on its head though, could it not be driven towards healing?.... IP: Logged |

Generally on the negative, I can perceive it as stunted aggression/assertion or even passion, as mars rules what we are passionate about also. And like Hypatia238 said, a drive to heal those issues. Specifically for myself its linked to my childhood/inner: Aries rules my 4th, yet that ruler Mars (in Libra) is opposite in the 10th. I grew up in a supremely martian household, and yet ironically any martian impulses from myself were deemed unacceptable. Sometimes by simple reprimand, other times physical violence. E.g. I was once belted raw for slamming a door. My libran tendencies and passions went largely unnoticed and unappreciated. My mother is paranoid about the world or, 'whats out there' (10th) also. When I was a kid I never climbed trees or things like that because she instilled in me a deep FEAR (saturn/chiron?) of DOING (mars). There's a fear of taking action. Things like walking into a shop to get some milk used to give me panic attacks when I was younger. Again: action=pain. I'm sure this is a fairly extreme manifestation though. Probably due to some other aspects also. Not every one will experience it like this but I've always seen mine linked to childhood. Additionally: Chiron/mars in the 10th- contention with authority, saturnian figures or structures, pain/masculine nature on public display, experienced abusive authority figures, wounded reputation, etc. Also the midheaven, being the sign we respect, there can be wounding about not having those qualities respected too. Mars/chiron in the 5th?.... expression itself is stunted? Creative self-actualisation hurts, but is used to channel pain/is a method of healing. Maybe??? IP: Logged |

Mars-conjunct Chiron could suggest some issues(Chiron) with aggression(Mars) or the masculine energy.Saturn in 4th often suggests that the home was stable but cold. Or there were many rules and one had to "earn" love and protection etc. I have Mars square the Mc/Ic and one thing that I ask people whom have Mars conjunct/square/opposing this point is; what kind of household did you grow up in? Mars aspecting the MC/Ic suggest that there is anger(Mars) and resentment at one/both parents. Probably defining the relationship with authority figures(10th)as well as live in partners(4th). Chiron-Mars may fear physical intimidation or may intimidate physically in order to make up for feeling vulnerable and helpless within. It is also not unusual for this individual to compete and succeed in sports or anything physical. Again this echoes a need for one to feel or look strong(Mars); perhaps as a preventative measure for being bullied or being taken advantage of. Saturn in the 4th suggests parents or home environment that was not supportive and expected one to grow up quickly and assume responsibility(probably seen as the "responsible" child) etc. So the resentment and hurt could be with one or both parents for not making you feel loved or not allowing you to be a child? Thanks SalemsEnd and Aries23 for your insightful responses!! I wish I was intelligent/experienced enough to give as insightful a reply, haha. Lalalinda, thank you for the warm welcome also quote: Originally posted by Aries23Degrees: Chiron-Mars may fear physical intimidation or may intimidate physically in order to make up for feeling vulnerable and helpless within.
Based on observations of my friend with this aspect I'd say that is DEFINITELY SO TRUE, Aries23. The other night his ex-girlfriend showed up at his apartment and he was so manically terrified of her brothers showing up to hurt him that he had a big knife prepared. !!! So yes, very terrified of physical intimidation! Also, I discovered that he actually doesn't have Mars and Chiron in the 5th - he has them in his 4th house. Which explains even more why having his home environment threatened was so frightening to him. Wow!! So glad to be learning about Chiron from all of you... What a powerful astroid/planetoid!
